[0001] The present invention relates to a chimney box which can be implemented, in particular, in the context of the renovation of an existing flue, as well as a chimney comprising such a box. PREVIOUS STATE OF THE ART

Older heating systems generally operate with natural draft, meaning that the heating system is connected to a flue that channels the combustion products, and where the flue is constructed of masonry and extends to the outside of the living space.

Chimney (100) comprising: - a stack (102) delimiting at least one chimney flue (202a-b), - a cap (104) having an opening (106) at its lower end and a cap (108) at its upper end that prevents rainwater from entering the chimney (100), wherein the cap (104) has gaps (109) between the opening (106) and the cap (108) that allow the fumes arriving through the opening (106) to pass horizontally, and - a casing (110) comprising a side wall (110a) through which at least one window (116) passes, wherein said side wall (110a) forms a flue open at both ends, wherein the lower end forms a base (110b) fixed to the top of the stack (102), wherein the upper end forms a seat (110c) on which the lower part of the cap is fixed (104), where the base (110b) delimits a lower opening (112a) and where the seat (110c) delimits an upper opening (112b),and where the lower opening (112a) is fluidly connected to the chimney flue(s) (202a-b) delimited by the chimney stack (102) and where the upper opening (112b) is fluidly connected to the opening (106) of the cap (104), - at least one pipe (204) housed in said at least one chimney flue (202a-b), where a first end of the pipe(s) (204) is intended to be fluidly connected to a combustion source and a second end is fluidly connected to one of the windows (116) and fixed to the side wall (110a) corresponding to said window (116), and - for each window (116) to which no pipe (204) is connected, a hatch (114) removably fixed to the side wall (110a).

2. Chimney (100) according to claim 1, characterized in that the pipe or each pipe (204) which is fixed at the level of a window (116), opens to the outside of the side wall (110a) by way of a terminal nose (206).

3. Chimney (100) according to any one of claims 1 or 2, characterized in that the attachment of each hatch (114) to the side wall (110a) is airtight.
