Description

Title of the invention: EGG TRANSPORT PACKAGING Technical field

[0001] The invention relates to a packaging structure developed for transporting eggs without breaking them.

[0002] The invention relates in particular to an egg tray with a lid, which is an egg transport package with increased strength. Prior art

[0003] Due to the oval shape and the ease of cracking of the eggs, trays have been used for many years for use during transportation. In traditional trays, the eggs are positioned in the openings of the trays and a second tray is positioned on top of the eggs to connect the two trays to each other. Said connection is generally made with materials such as rope. In said applications, the eggs are positioned between two trays like sandwiches. However, due to the fact that the eggs are not well held between the trays, breakage or cracking may occur depending on the movement. In addition, the packaging of these applications is difficult for the manufacturer and does not benefit from an aesthetic appearance for the end user.

[0004] As an alternative to traditional trays, covered egg trays have been designed to ensure the packaging of fewer eggs, such as 6, 10, 15. There is a lid structure in said trays, and the eggs are supported from the top by means of said lid. However, there may be problems when locking the lid, and the inability to properly support the eggs from the top and sides may lead to problems such as breakage. Especially in case of stacking, the lid section stretches and the products break.

[0005] Furthermore, the low moisture resistance of egg trays used in the prior art leads to a decrease in their strength depending on the transportation and storage environment, and problems such as breakage may be encountered due to stretching of the packaging.

[0006] In summary, the problems described create a disadvantage for both the end user and the egg producer.

[0007] In publication No. ES1263859Y, an egg transport tray is described. The product used in said application is in covered form and cannot provide solutions to the stretching problems mentioned above.

[0008] As a result, all the above-mentioned problems have made it imperative to achieve innovation in the relevant field.

[0009] PURPOSE OF THE INVENTION

[0010] The present invention is introduced for the purpose of eliminating the above-mentioned problems and achieving technical innovation in the relevant field.

[0011] The main object of the invention is to introduce a highly durable egg transport packaging structure suitable for use during the storage and sale of eggs.

[0012] Another object of the invention is to prevent breakage problems due to stretching during stacking of egg trays on top of each other.

[0013] Another object of the invention is to provide weight reduction in egg trays without loss of strength.

[0014] Another object of the invention is to introduce an egg tray structure which does not deform easily and which has high resilience compared to the variants.

[0015] Another object of the invention is to introduce a packaging structure which allows the lid section to be better locked compared to the variants. Summary of the invention

[0035] In this detailed description, the egg transport package (P) of the invention is explained by way of example only for a better understanding of the subject matter, which will not create any limiting effect.

[0036] The subject of the invention relates to a packaging structure (P) developed for transporting eggs without breaking them.

[0037] The invention is a package (P) made of cellulosic material for packaging eggs in a manner that prevents them from breaking, comprising a monolithic cover (20) and a body (10), and having a slot structure (13) on said body (10) for placing the eggs, characterized in that it comprises: an intermediate support positioned between said multiple adjacent slots (13), the height of which is greater than the edge height of the body (10), an edge support recess (22) formed in the direction of the inner section of the package (P) on the two opposite side edges of the cover (20), which can come into contact with the upper edge of said intermediate support (12) when closed, and between the two said edge support recesses (22), a central support element (23) positioned parallel to the folding axis of the cover (20).

[0038] [Fig. 1] shows a perspective drawing from above of the open position of the lid (20) of the invention. The package (P) consists of a body (10) and a lid (20), and said lid (20) and said body (10) are monolithic via the lid connecting edge (30). Said lid (20) can be positioned on the body (10) by folding on the axis of the lid connecting edge (30), which extends along the body (10).

[0039] The body (10) contains at least one slots (13) thereon, preferably at least four. There is at least one intermediate support (12) in the section where said slots are mutually adjacent. The eggs are positioned in said slots (13). The height of said intermediate support (12) is greater than the height of the edge shape of the body (10). In the preferred embodiment, when the lid (20) is closed, the upper surface of the intermediate support (12) supports the lid (20) from the inner section. In this way, when stacked on top of each other, the force on the lid (20) is transmitted directly to the intermediate support (12).

[0040] There is at least one edge support recess (22) on the cover (20) of the invention, particularly in the edge sections. Said edge support recess (22) is a shape preferably formed inwards from the outer surface of the cover (20) and is preferably positioned on at least two edges. At least one central support element (10) is located along said two edge support recesses (22), preferably extending over the axis of the cover (23). Said central support element (23) preferably represents an inwardly formed recess or an outwardly formed protrusion (or vice versa) on the cover (20). The strength of the cover structure (20) has been improved by means of said edge support recess (22) and said central support element (23).

[0041] There are at least one and preferably two latch openings (21) on the cover (20) of the invention. There is at least one latch projection (211) on said latch opening (21). Preferably, said latch projection (211) extends along the surface forming the cover (20) and can be formed by pressure after production.

[0042] There is at least one lock (11) on the cover (10) of the invention. Said lock (11) is a projection extending from the body (10) to the side section, and there is a cavity at the bottom. Furthermore, there is a lock projection (111) at the end of the lock (11). The lock (11) passes through the lock opening (21) of the invention and the lock projection (211) is placed in the cavity in the lower section of the lock projection (111). In this way, locking is performed. The cover (20) can be opened via the latch (11) by stretching the front surface preferably over the edge between the latch openings (21).

[0043] [Fig.2] shows the bottom view of the invention. In the lower section of the slots (13), there is a slot bottom recess (132) and a protrusion is formed in the lower section. In this way, the strength of the lower section of the slots (13) is improved. Also, there is a slot edge recess (131) on at least one edge near the lower section of the slots (13). While said slot edge recess (131) increases the strength in the relevant region, it provides better support for the egg placed in the slot (13).

[0044] Preferably, there is an intermediate support (12) between the four adjacent slots (13), there is an opening in the inner section of the intermediate support (12), and the intermediate support (12) has an intermediate support inner shape (120). Said intermediate support inner shape (120) allows the slot (13) to be supported from the edge sections. In particular, the intermediate support edge shape (121) is adjacent to the slots (13) and a flexible shape with an increased radial and surface area is provided in these regions.

[0045] In the preferred embodiment of the invention, the edge of the cover (20) with the latch openings (21) has a downwardly extending radial front cover edge (24). Said radial front cover edge (24) provides a strength gain to allow the cover (20) to be easily stretched to enable it to be released from the latch (11). (This facilitates stretching.)

[0046] [Fig.4] shows a side view of another embodiment of the invention. In this context, the lid (20) comprises a lid radial edge (201) in the edge section, and this edge is in a curved shape. The body radial edge (101), which correlates with a similar shape, is located on the edge sections of the body (10). In this way, if the lid (20) is closed on the body (10), the body radial edge (101) and the lid radial edge (201) overlap, and the contact surface increases. As a result, the strength of the lid (20) and the entire product is improved.

[0047] In the preferred embodiment of the invention, the edge portions of the package (P) have an edge support (31) preferably aligned with the center of each slot (13). Said edge support (31) is located in the edge sections on the lid (20) and the body (10) and consists of a projection in this section. Said structure ensures that the strength is increased in the relevant regions.

[0048] In the preferred embodiment of the invention, the packaging (P) is made of recycled cellulosic material or a cellulosic raw material. The top of the packaging (P) comprises a coating to improve strength and increase resistance.

[0049] The packaging (P) disclosed within the scope of the invention is made of a monolithic cellulosic material. It is preferably made of recycled cellulosic raw material.
