Computer-implemented method for synthesizing artifacts caused by a magnetic resonance imaging environment on electrocardiogram signals

Abstract

This disclosure relates to a computer-implemented method for synthesizing artifacts caused by a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) environment on electrocardiogram (ECG) signals. The method includes extracting artifacts from real ECG signals acquired in an MRI environment. The method further includes synthesizing realistic artifacts from the extracted artifacts. The synthesis is based on a machine learning model. The model is configured for the random synthesis of realistic artifacts corresponding to different patient and / or MRI environment configurations. The synthesis includes training the model based on the extracted artifacts. [Fig. 5]
