Abstract
Description
Title of the invention: Wig cap
[0001] The invention relates to a wig (1) adjustable to the size and shape of a user's head, comprising a cap (2) shaped to cover the user's scalp, and on which hair (3) is fixed, comprising at least one transparent or translucent non-slip flexible element (4) on the inner surface of said cap (2) for holding the wig on the scalp, said at least one transparent or translucent non-slip flexible element (4) comprising a continuous zigzag strip (4), positioned to be in contact with the user's scalp. According to one embodiment, the invention also relates to non-slip flexible points (7) on the inner surface of said cap (2), positioned to be in contact with the user's scalp. Previous Art
[0002] The wig is an accessory that has been used for centuries. Its use has increased in recent decades, particularly due to the increase in pathologies such as cancer and alopecia.
[0003] Wigs comprise an internal support, conventionally called a cap, covering the cranial area of the user's head and onto which natural or artificial hair is attached. The internal face of said cap is commonly provided with means allowing the wig to be adjusted to the shape and size of the user's skull. The internal face also most often comprises non-slip means to prevent the wig from slipping sideways on the user's head.
[0004] Conventionally, the cap is made of tulle (fine mesh fabric) intended to cover the frontal, temporal and occipital areas, and, on the other hand, a monofilament intended to cover the vertex area.
[0005] Tulle is a simple, lightweight, transparent fabric made of linen, cotton, silk, wool, or synthetic fibers, which has a network of regular meshes and can be more or less elastic. Monofilament, also called micro-skin, is made of a very light material with very fine meshes that allows the scalp to breathe, this material being made with a translucent fiber. The hair is attached to it in such a way as to imitate the natural implantation of the hair and so that the wig is as little detectable as possible.
[0006] The connection between these different parts of the cap is traditionally made by folding the layers, overlapping and applying strips of fabric to create the “tiling” and hold the whole thing together.
[0007] This assembly then creates very marked recesses and excess thicknesses which are uncomfortable for the user, and can also be visible.
[0008] In order to solve this type of problem, solutions have been implemented.
[0009] For example, document EP15119661 describes a wig whose cap is partly made up of flexible, self-adhesive pieces, the internal face of which in contact with the skull is made up of a layer or film of polysiloxane. These self-adhesive pieces prevent the wig from slipping and improve its stability. However, this type of cap has the disadvantage that the edges between the different areas remain visible, and that stability could be improved.
[0010] In order to solve the problems addressed above, the Applicant has developed a wig whose cap includes a flexible non-slip zigzag element, making it possible to improve the hold of the wig, and to significantly limit the visibility of the connection zone between said parts of the cap.
[0011] Furthermore, the Applicant also uses the addition of soft non-slip points in order to further improve the stability of the wig on the user's skull. Statement of the invention
[0012] Thus, the invention relates to a wig (1) adjustable to the size and shape of a user's head, comprising a cap (2) shaped to cover a user's scalp, and on which hair (3) is fixed, comprising at least one transparent or translucent non-slip flexible element (4) on the internal surface of said cap (2) to hold the wig on the scalp, said at least one transparent or translucent non-slip flexible element (4) comprising a continuous zigzag strip (4), positioned to be in contact with the user's scalp.
[0013] According to one embodiment, the wig comprises a tulle covering the user's forehead (5), and a tulle (6) covering the top of the user's skull.
[0014] Preferably, said continuous zigzag strip is positioned at the junction between said tulle covering the user's forehead (5), and said tulle (6) covering the top of the user's skull, and thus overlaps said tulle covering the user's forehead (5), and said tulle (6) covering the top of the user's skull.
[0015] According to one embodiment, said continuous zigzag strip (4) is made of silicone or polyurethane, preferably silicone.
[0016] According to one embodiment, said wig comprises other transparent or translucent non-slip flexible elements, preferably non-slip flexible points (7).
[0017] According to one embodiment, said wig further comprises flexible non-slip points (7) on the internal surface of said cap (2), positioned to be in contact with the user's scalp.
[0018] Preferably, said continuous zigzag strip (4) is a line forming angles between 110° and 150°, preferably between 120° and 140°.
[0019] Even more preferably, said continuous strip comprises 4 angles of 120° and one angle of 140°.
[0020] According to one embodiment of the invention, said continuous zigzag strip (4) has a width of between 1 mm and 10 mm, preferably between 3 mm and 7 mm.
[0021] Even more preferably, said continuous zigzag strip (4) has a width of 5 mm.
[0022] Preferably, said flexible anti-slip points (7) have a diameter of between 1 mm and 10 mm, preferably between 3 and 7 mm.
[0023] Even more preferably, said flexible anti-slip points (7) have a diameter of 5 mm.
[0024] Preferably, said flexible anti-slip points (7) are positioned in at least one line.
[0025] Preferably, said non-slip flexible points (7) are positioned in several lines, preferably at least two lines.
[0026] Preferably, said flexible anti-slip points (7) are positioned in two lines.
[0027] Preferably, said non-slip flexible points (7) are positioned in several lines, preferably at least three lines.
[0028] Preferably, said flexible anti-slip points (7) are positioned in three lines.
[0029] According to one embodiment, said flexible non-slip points (7) are made of silicone or polyurethane, preferably silicone.
[0030] Preferably, said flexible non-slip points are located on said tulle (6) covering the top of the user's skull.
[0031] The wig according to the invention and its particular characteristics, in particular the transparent or translucent non-slip flexible element comprising a continuous zigzag band, make it possible to obtain a very natural result once the hair is implanted.
[0032] Furthermore, said continuous zigzag strip makes it possible to create a much more natural transition between the tulle of the forehead and the tulle covering the top of the user's skull. Usually, the lines which connect these two materials are straight and are visible from above, which is not the case in the context of the invention.
[0033] Furthermore, the use of a flexible non-slip element improves grip on the skull, and the zigzag shape further improves its effectiveness, due to an increase in the contact surface.
[0034] The use of these soft non-slip points allows adequate support while limiting the contact of the scalp with the tulle, the scalp being known to be very sensitive during hair loss, especially during chemotherapy treatment.
[0035] The use of scattered stitches makes it possible to accentuate a little more the non-slip aspect of the wig according to the invention. This makes it possible to improve the grip without altering the lightness of the wig Figures
