Abstract

Cryogenic connection The cryogenic connection (13) comprises: - a first tube (15) for the circulation of a cryogenic fluid; - a first flange (17) secured to a first end (19) of the first tube (15); - a second tube (21) for the circulation of the cryogenic fluid; - a second flange (23) secured to a second end (25) of the second tube (21); - a removable connection (27) configured to fix the first flange (17) and the second flange (23) to each other in a sealed manner, in a configuration where the first tube (15) and the second tube (21) are in fluid communication with each other; - a defrosting circuit (53), with a conduit (55) for circulation of a heat transfer fluid along which the heat transfer fluid is in thermal communication by conduction with the first flange (17) and / or with the second flange (23). Claims

thermal protection cuff (71) has a free distal end (75), opposite the proximal end (73).

6. Cryogenic connection (13) according to claim 5, in which the thermal protection sleeve (71) defines, with an internal surface (77) of the first and second central orifices (29, 37), an annular fluid blade (79), fluidly communicating with the second tube (21) at the distal end (75) of the thermal protection sleeve (71).

7. A cryogenic connection (13) according to any one of claims 4 to 6, wherein the thermal protection sleeve (71) extends over the entire axial length of the first central orifice (29) and over the entire axial length of the second central orifice (37).

8. Cryogenic connection (13) according to any one of claims 3 to 7, in which the first flange (17) has a first contact face (33) and a first rear face (35) opposite the first contact face (33), the second flange (23) has a second contact face (43) bearing against the first contact face (33) of the first flange (17) and a second rear face (45) opposite the second contact face (43), a groove (65) being provided in the first rear face (35) of the first flange (17) so as to reduce a passage section for heat from the circulation conduit (55) of the heat transfer fluid to the first central orifice (29) of the first flange (17).

9. A cryogenic connection (13) according to claim 8, wherein a first barrel (67) is provided around the first central orifice (29) on the first rear face (35) of the first flange (17), the first tube (15) being connected to the first barrel (67), and / or a second barrel (69) is provided around the second central orifice (37) on the second rear face (45) of the second flange (23), the second tube (21) being connected to the second barrel (69).

10. A cryogenic coupling (13) according to claim 8 or 9, wherein an energized seal (81) is interposed between the first contact face (33) of the first flange (17) and the second contact face (43) of the second flange (23).
