[0001] Harpelec is a registered trademark. This high-voltage generator is designed to power Asian hornet repellent harps. It is ready to use.
[0002] Powered by low voltage, it provides sufficient voltage to shock insects and neutralize them. It can be powered by a photovoltaic panel (50w / 12v), or a car battery, or both with a charge controller, or even with photovoltaic cells connected in parallel. [0003] The BSV generator consists of a waterproof case with a VU meter, containing two electronic circuits that are modified to adapt them to their functions. The first regulates the input supply voltage which can be between 9 volts and 30 volts, (the VU meter displays the input voltage independently of the switch), the input being protected against polarity reversals by a 10A / 45 V Schottky diode, added to the negative input. It is set to an output voltage of 6 volts thanks to an integrated variable resistor. The second circuit is a voltage booster, powered by 6 volts, it delivers a voltage of approximately 6kV.
[0004] Voltage variations depending on the power supply setting: This module can be powered from 9 V to 12 volts. The output voltage is multiplied by approximately 1000. We chose the 6 volt / 6 kV range for stability and insulation reasons.
[0005] Modifications: On the voltage regulation input circuit, a 10A / 45 V Schottky diode has been added on the negative input to protect the circuit from polarity reversals by users.
[0006] Inputs / outputs: the box is powered by a red and black cable in 2 x 0.75mm2 of 0.80m, and the output to the harp, by a H05VV-F cable in 2 x 0.75 mm2 of 0.50m, terminated by two crocodile clips for quick attachment to the stainless steel wires of the harp. These inputs-outputs are made by holes drilled in the box, then sealed with resin to perfect the original waterproofing.
[0007] The power supply of the box is controlled by an integrated waterproof switch with indicator light, the latter is glued to the resin during its assembly and locked by two 1.8 x 30mm nails, it takes the place of a pre-drilled reservation of the box. The circuits are fixed to the resin inside the box, and are separated by glued insulators.
[0008] A sealed warranty cover and sticker warn of electrical hazard and warranty voiding in case of tampering with the case.
