Abstract
Claims
Demands
1. Composition of oil-in-water macroemulsion comprising: an aqueous phase comprising: 30% to 85% water; 0.01% to 1% acrylates / VP copolymer; 0.05% to 0.5% C10-30 acrylates / alkyl acrylate crosspolymer; an aromatic phase comprising: 0% to 25% fragrance ingredients; and an oily phase comprising: 1% to 10% vegetable or synthetic oil; and not more than 5% surfactants, emulsifiers or a mixture thereof.
2. Oil-in-water macroemulsion according to claim 1, wherein the emulsion can be sprayed through a fine fragrance type pump.
3. Oil-in-water macroemulsion of claim 1, further comprising a thixotropic agent in the aqueous phase to provide spraying properties.
4. Oil-in-water macroemulsion of claim 1, further comprising a thickener in the aqueous phase to provide suspension properties.
5. Oil-in-water macroemulsion according to claim 1, wherein the emulsion further comprises skin-conditioning ingredients in the aqueous phase.
6. Oil-in-water macroemulsion according to claim 1, wherein the emulsion provides a non-sticky sensation on the skin as perceived by a user.
7. Oil-in-water macroemulsion according to claim 1, wherein the aqueous phase comprises diglycerin or glycerin as a humectant and skin-conditioning agent.
8. Oil-in-water macroemulsion according to claim 1, wherein the aqueous phase comprises a C10-30 acrylate / alkyl acrylate crosspolymer as a surfactant and emulsion stabilizer.
9. Oil-in-water macroemulsion according to claim 1, wherein the aqueous phase comprises polyglycerol esters as surfactants.
10. Oil-in-water macroemulsion according to claim 1, wherein the oil phase comprises caprylic / capric triglyceride as an emollient and skin conditioning agent.
11. Oil-in-water macroemulsion according to claim 1, wherein the aqueous phase comprises diutane gum, xanthan gum or sclerotium gum as thickeners.
12. Oil-in-water macroemulsion according to claim 1, wherein the aqueous phase comprises an ammonium acryloyldimethyltaurate / VP copolymer as a thixotropic thickening agent.
13. Oil-in-water macroemulsion according to claim 1, wherein the aqueous phase comprises butylene glycol as an emulsion stabilizer and co-surfactant for low-temperature storage.
14. Oil-in-water macroemulsion according to claim 1, wherein the emulsion is alcohol-free.
15. Oil-in-water macroemulsion according to claim 1, wherein the emulsion should be used in fine, high-end, lifestyle-oriented perfumery brands.
16. Oil-in-water macroemulsion according to claim 1, wherein the emulsion is characterized by the absence of lecithin.
17. Oil-in-water macroemulsion according to claim 1, wherein the emulsion is characterized by a very low or even zero surfactant content.
18. A method for producing an oil-in-water macroemulsion according to claim 1, comprising the steps of: mixing the aqueous phase, the aromatic phase and the oily phase at room temperature; applying a high-shear mixture to create small oil droplets and stabilize the emulsion.
19. A method according to claim 18, wherein the emulsion is formulated at room temperature.
20. A method according to claim 18, wherein the emulsion is stabilized using a high-speed mixer with a rotor-stator type configuration.
