Description

Title of the invention: Electric hot air cooking apparatus comprising a cooking vessel equipped with transparent walls technical field

[0001] The present invention relates generally to an electric cooking appliance for cooking food according to at least one hot air cooking method. State of the art

[0002] It is known from the prior art to use a cooking appliance configured to cook food, and comprising: - a housing including a receiving compartment; - a cooking vessel configured to occupy an insertion position in which the cooking vessel is at least partially placed in the receiving housing, and a withdrawal position in which the cooking vessel is at least partially withdrawn from the receiving housing, the cooking vessel comprising: • a cooking vessel configured to receive food to be cooked and to be accessible to a user when the cooking vessel is in the retracted position, the cooking vessel and the housing being configured to delimit a cooking chamber when the cooking vessel is in the inserted position, • a front facade configured to extend at least substantially in relation to a front portion of the cooking vessel, • a first transparent wall mounted on the cooking vessel and configured to at least partially block a first through-hole provided on the cooking vessel, • a second transparent wall mounted on the front panel and configured to at least partially block a second through-hole provided on the front panel, • an air circulation duct formed at least in part by the first transparent wall and the second transparent wall and configured to allow the circulation of a cooling airflow between the first transparent wall and the second transparent wall, and

[0003] a hot air heating system provided in the housing and configured to heat and cook the food inside the cooking chamber according to at least one hot air cooking mode.

[0004] This type of electric cooking appliance is efficient because it allows a user to cook food placed in the cooking chamber, particularly using a hot air cooking method. The presence of the first transparent wall and the second transparent wall allows a user to obtain a visual indication of the cooking of the food in the cooking container during the operation of the electric cooking appliance, even when the cooking container is in the insertion position.

[0005] However, a drawback of such an electric cooking appliance lies in the clouding of the first and second transparent walls when using the appliance in hot air cooking mode. Indeed, the proximity between the cooking chamber and the air circulation duct can lead to the migration of humid air from the cooking chamber towards the air circulation duct, which can cause condensation to appear on one, the other, or both of the first and second transparent walls. Summary of the invention

[0006] The technical problem underlying the invention therefore consists of providing an electric cooking appliance, shaped to allow increased visibility of the food present in the cooking chamber, which is of simple, compact and economical structure, while allowing safe use for a user.

[0007] To this end, the present invention relates to an electric cooking appliance configured for cooking food, and comprising: - a housing including a receiving compartment; - a cooking vessel configured to occupy an insertion position in which the cooking vessel is at least partially placed in the receiving housing, and a withdrawal position in which the cooking vessel is at least partially withdrawn from the receiving housing, the cooking vessel comprising: • a cooking vessel configured to receive food to be cooked and to be accessible to a user when the cooking vessel is in the retracted position, the cooking vessel and the housing being configured to delimit a cooking chamber when the cooking vessel is in the inserted position, • a front facade configured to extend at least substantially in relation to a front portion of the cooking vessel, • a first transparent wall mounted on the cooking vessel and configured to at least partially block a first through-hole provided on the cooking vessel, • a second transparent wall mounted on the front panel and configured to at least partially block a second through-hole provided on the front panel, and • an air circulation duct formed at least in part by the first transparent wall and the second transparent wall and configured to allow circulation of a cooling airflow between the first transparent wall and the second transparent wall; - a hot air heating system provided in the housing and configured to heat and cook the food inside the cooking chamber according to at least one hot air cooking mode;

[0008] The cooking vessel includes a sealing element, such as a sealing gasket for example, configured to extend at least partially between the front face and the cooking vessel, the sealing element being configured to limit, and preferably prevent, fluid communication between the cooking chamber and the air circulation duct when the cooking vessel is in the insertion position.

[0009] Such a configuration of the electric cooking appliance prevents heat transfer from the cooking chamber to the air circulation duct. Furthermore, the air between the first transparent wall and the second transparent wall thermally insulates the second transparent wall from the first, thus maintaining a low temperature in the second transparent wall to prevent any risk of burns to the user.

[0078] As shown more specifically in Figures 3 and 4, the cooking vessel 3 includes a sealing element 11, such as a sealing gasket for example, which is configured to extend at least partially between the front face 6 and the cooking vessel 4. The sealing element 11 is configured to limit, and preferably prevent, fluid communication between the cooking chamber 5 and the air circulation duct 9 when the cooking vessel 3 is in the insertion position. Such a configuration of the electric cooking appliance 1 prevents heat transfer from the cooking chamber 5 to the air circulation duct 9. In addition, the air present between the first transparent wall 7.1 and the second transparent wall 7.2 helps to maintain a low temperature of the second transparent wall 7.2 so as not to present a risk of burns to a user.

[0079] According to the first embodiment shown in the figures, the sealing element 11 is fixed to the cooking vessel 4 and is configured to extend at least partially between the first transparent wall 7.1 and the first through-hole 8.1 ([Fig. 6]). [0080] According to the first embodiment of the invention shown in the figures, the sealing element 11 is a lip seal and comprises a contact portion 12, such as a sealing lip. The contact portion 12 is advantageously configured to extend around the periphery of the second through-hole 8.2 and to be in contact with an inner surface 13 of the front panel 6 when the front panel 6 is in its operating configuration. Such a configuration of the invention prevents fluid communication between the cooking chamber 5 and the air circulation duct 9 when the cooking vessel 4 is in the inserted position.

[0081] The contact portion 12 of the sealing element 11 is configured to deform upon contact with the inner surface 13 of the front facade 6. Such a configuration of the invention advantageously allows compensation of the play which may result from the assembly between the cooking vessel 4 and the front facade 6, and / or prevents sealing defects resulting from the non-flatness of the inner surface 13 for example.

[0082] As more specifically shown in Figures 3 and 4, the cooking tank 4 comprises a tank body and a support frame 14 which is fixed to the tank body and which is configured to support the first transparent wall 7.1, the sealing element 11 being at least partially interposed between the support frame 14 and the first transparent wall 7.1.

Advantageously, the locking element 15.2 is mounted pivoting about an API pivot axis which is substantially horizontal when the electric cooking appliance 1 rests on a horizontal surface and the cooking vessel 3 is in the insertion position.

[0084] Furthermore, the electric cooking appliance 1 includes an actuating member 15.3 mounted on the front panel 6 and pivotally fixed to the locking element 15.2. The actuating member 15.3 is configured to be accessible by a user when the front panel 6 is in the operating configuration and the cooking container 3 is in the insertion position. The actuating member 15.3 is user-operable and configured to control a movement of the locking element 15.2 at least between the locking and release configurations. Advantageously, the actuating member 15.3 is configured to project at least partially from an external surface of the front panel 6 when the front panel 6 is in the operating configuration.

[0085] According to the first embodiment of the invention, and as more specifically shown in Figures 1 to 3, the electric cooking appliance 1 comprises an air extraction unit 16 disposed in the housing 2 and configured to generate the cooling airflow in the air circulation duct 9. The air extraction unit 16 is advantageously coupled in rotation to the drive unit 10.2, the electric cooking appliance 1 being configured such that, when the cooking vessel 4 is in the insertion position and the electric cooking appliance 1 is in hot air cooking mode, the cooling airflow flows into the air circulation duct 9 and between the first transparent wall 7.1 and the second transparent wall 7.2.

[0086] The drive unit 10.2 is more particularly configured to drive the air extraction unit 16 in rotation around a second axis of rotation A2. Advantageously, the first axis of rotation Al and the second axis of rotation A2 are substantially parallel and, for example, coincide.

[0087] According to the first embodiment of the invention, the air extraction unit 16 is configured to extend below the drive unit 10.2 when the electric cooking appliance 1 is resting on a horizontal surface. Such a configuration of the air extraction unit 16 allows air to be blown onto the drive unit 10.2 and thus create an upward cooling airflow from the bottom of the electric cooking appliance 1, the airflow being configured to pass through the duct of air circulation 9 before being expelled from the electric cooking appliance 1 through the top.

[0088] The air circulation duct 9 has at least one air inlet orifice 17.1 and at least one air outlet orifice 17.2 (see figures 2 and 3) which are provided respectively on a lower and an upper part of the front panel 6. Such a configuration of the invention makes it possible to generate a cooling airflow, rising from a lower end of the electric cooking appliance 1 to an upper end of the electric cooking appliance 1 when the air inlet orifice 17.1 is provided on the lower part of the front panel 6 and the air outlet orifice 17.2 is provided on the upper part of the panel, the cooling airflow circulating through the air circulation duct 9.

[0089] In addition, the cooking container 3 has at least one gripping handle 18 attached to the front face 6 and configured to extend at least partially opposite the second transparent wall 7.2.

[0090] Figure 8 represents an electric cooking appliance 1 according to a second embodiment of the invention, which differs from the first embodiment essentially in that the air extraction unit 16 is configured to extend above the drive unit 10.2 when the electric cooking appliance 1 is resting on a horizontal surface. Such a configuration of the air extraction unit 16 allows air to be blown onto the drive unit 10.2, thereby creating a downward cooling airflow from the top of the electric cooking appliance 1. The cooling airflow is thus configured to pass through the air circulation duct 9 before being exhausted from the electric cooking appliance 1.

[0091] According to the second embodiment of the invention, at least one air inlet orifice 17.1 and at least one air outlet orifice 17.2 are provided respectively on an upper and a lower part of the front panel 6. Unlike the first embodiment of the invention, when the air inlet orifice 17.1 is provided on the upper part of the front panel 6 and the air outlet 17.2 is provided on the lower part of the panel, the generated cooling airflow is downward from the upper end of the electric cooking appliance 1 to the lower end of the electric cooking appliance 1, the cooling airflow circulating through the air circulation duct 9.

[0092] Of course, the present invention is by no means limited to the embodiments described and illustrated, which have been given only by way of example. Modifications remain possible, particularly with regard to the construction of the various elements or by substitution of technical equivalents, without going outside the scope of protection of the invention.
