Abstract

The invention relates to a tool (100) for adjusting and holding a chain (26) with links (26a) meshing with a sprocket (24), said tool (100) comprising a shoe (102) intended to be fixed relative to the sprocket (24), and a finger (104) integral with the shoe (102) and intended to be inserted into a link (26a). 1. Tool (100) for adjusting and holding a chain (26) with links (26a) meshing with a sprocket (24), said tool (100) comprising: - a shoe (102) intended to be mounted fixed relative to the sprocket (24), and - a finger (104) integral with the shoe (102) and intended to be inserted into a link (26a).

2. Tool (100) according to claim 1, characterized in that the finger (104) is fixed to the shoe (102) by means of a ramp (106) intended to support a plurality of links (26a) arranged between the finger (104) and the pinion (24).

3. Tool (100) according to any one of claims 1 or 2, characterized in that the shoe (102) takes the form of a split cylinder intended to be fitted onto a shaft (25) integral with the pinion (24) and comprising clamping means (108).

4. Tool (100) according to claim 3, characterized in that the tool (100) comprises an anti-slip ring (27) intended to be mounted between the shoe (102) and the shaft (25) integral with the pinion (24).

5. Assembly (150) comprising a sprocket (24), a chain (26) with links (26a) meshing with the sprocket (24) and a tool (100) according to any one of claims 1 to 4, wherein the shoe (102) is mounted fixed relative to the sprocket (24), and wherein the finger (104) is inserted into a link (26a).
