Description

Title of the invention: Method for installing and equipping a striking drill practice area

[0001] The invention relates to a method of installing on a flat support equipment for practicing striking exercises, as well as equipment arranged to be installed by implementing this method.

[0002] It applies in particular to training equipment intended to be installed reversibly on a suitable flat support, in particular a wall, so as to be positioned vertically in the position of use.

[0003] A device comprising a peripheral body of annular geometry, in particular toric, which surrounds a central cavity in which a striking target is disposed, is known from document US-11 020 645.

[0004] The target has an outer casing in which is placed a suitable filling material or an inflatable chamber, in order to allow a user to practice exercises by hitting said target with his fists, in particular in the context of combat sport training such as boxing.

[0005] According to this prior embodiment, the equipment is installed by means of a suspension strap which is attached at its lower end to the outer periphery of the toroidal body, and whose upper end can be reversibly attached to a support, for example a ceiling or a training frame.

[0006] The invention aims to improve the prior art by proposing in particular a method of installing on a flat support equipment for practicing striking exercises which can be implemented reversibly in a simple and reliable manner, while ensuring that said equipment remains securely on said support during practice, without requiring any accessories and without causing any marks or damage over time on the support.

[0007] To this end, according to a first aspect, the invention proposes a method for installing equipment for practicing striking exercises on a flat surface, said equipment comprising a peripheral body surrounding a central cavity, said body having a rear face – or respectively a front face – into which a rear opening – or respectively a front opening – of said cavity opens, the peripheral body being equipped with a front wall covering the front opening, said front wall being airtight and having a striking target area, said method providing for: - place the rear face of said equipment resting on the support; - press on the front wall on a stroke of insertion into the central cavity in order to expel air from said central cavity; - release the support at the end of the compression stroke;

[0008] said insertion stroke being arranged to ensure the retention of the equipment on the support by suction effect of the rear face on said support.

[0009] According to a second aspect, the invention proposes equipment for practicing striking exercises arranged to be installed on a flat support (1) by implementing a method according to the first aspect, said equipment comprising a peripheral body surrounding a central cavity, said body having a rear face - respectively a front face - into which opens a rear opening - respectively a front opening - of said cavity, the peripheral body being equipped with a front wall covering the front opening, said front wall being airtight and having a striking target area.

[0010] Other features and advantages of the invention will become apparent from the following description, made with reference to the accompanying figures, in which:

[0011] [Fig.la] and

[0012] [Fig.lb] represent equipment according to the invention, seen from its respective front ([Fig.la]) and rear ([Fig.lb]) faces;

[0013] [Fig.2] represents the equipment of the preceding figures in section along a plan vertical median;

[0014] [Fig.3a],

[0015] [Fig.3b] and

[0016] [Fig.3c] represent, in section along this same median plane, different stages successive steps of a method for installing the equipment shown in the previous figures on a flat surface.

[0017] In relation to these figures, equipment for practicing striking exercises is described below, as well as a method for installing such equipment on a flat support, in particular a vertical wall section.

[0018] The equipment comprises a peripheral body 2 surrounding a central cavity 3, having two faces respectively rear 4 and front 5 in each of which opens respectively a rear 6 and front 7 opening of said central cavity.

[0019] In the description, the terms of positioning in space are taken with reference to the installation of the equipment on the support 1. Thus, the terms "rear" and "front" refer to an arrangement respectively facing and opposite the support 1, and located respectively to the right and left in Figures 2, 3a, 3b and 3c.

[0020] Similarly, the terms "interior" and "exterior" are taken with reference to the central cavity 3 of the equipment, and refer to arrangements respectively close to and far from said central cavity.

[0021] In the embodiment shown, the body 2 has an annular geometry, in particular toric.

[0022] Advantageously, the peripheral body 2 is formed of an envelope containing air, which makes it possible to limit the total weight of the equipment, but also to limit its size when not in use, in particular by evacuating the air contained in said envelope.

[0023] In relation to [Fig.2], the envelope is formed of a rear film 8 and a front film 9, in particular made of plastic material, which are connected by welds 10, 11 at their respective outer and inner peripheries to form an air chamber 2a, the rear faces 4 and front faces 5 of the body 2 being formed on the rear film 8 and the front film 9 respectively.

[0024] Furthermore, the envelope is equipped with an inflation valve 12 which, in the figures, is fixed by welding to the outer periphery of the back film 8, in order to selectively allow the introduction or evacuation of air into said envelope, for the purpose of use or storage of the equipment.

[0025] The peripheral body 2 is equipped with a front wall 15 covering the front opening 7, said front wall being airtight and having a zone 15a forming a strike target. In particular, zone 15a corresponds to the central part of the front wall 15 and can be covered with a suitable pictogram.

[0026] To install the equipment on a flat support such as a wall panel 1, the user must successively: - place the rear face 4 of said equipment resting on said support ([Fig.3a]); - press on the front wall 15, in particular with at least one fist on the area 15a, following the direction indicated by arrow F towards the support 1, over a stroke of penetration into the central cavity 3, in order to expel air from said central cavity, as indicated by arrows A ([Fig.3b]); - release the support at the end of the compression stroke ([Fig.3c]);

[0027] said thrust stroke being arranged to ensure the maintenance of the equipment on the support 1 by suction effect of the rear face 4 on said support.

[0028] This arrangement allows the equipment to be installed on a support 1 in a simple manner, in particular without requiring the use of additional accessories, nor the installation of means of fixing on said support, while ensuring a reliable holding of said equipment on said support, due to the suction effect generated by the formation of an air depression between the central cavity 3 and the support 1 which is maintained by the airtightness of the front wall 15 and of the envelope forming the body 2.

[0029] Advantageously, the installation method includes a preliminary step of preparing the support 1 to improve the airtightness of the rear face 4 on it, for example by providing an electrostatic film to fill any roughness in the support 1.

[0030] In relation to the embodiment shown in the figures, the equipment further includes a cushion 13 which is arranged in the central cavity 3 on the reverse side of the area 15a forming a striking target, in order to improve the comfort of a user practicing exercises by striking said area, in particular with his fists.

[0031] In particular, the cushion 13 is made of an elastically compressible material, in particular foam-based, so that it can deform by cushioning the shock of a blow exerted on it, and then return to its original shape by elastic return.

[0032] In relation to figures 2, 3a, 3b and 3c, the cushion 13 is formed of a block of foam of cylindrical geometry, the total volume of which is equal to at least 85% of the volume of the central cavity 3, in particular in order to limit the indentation of the front wall 15 during strikes while allowing installation.

[0033] In relation to the embodiment shown in the figures, the body 2 is further equipped with a rear wall 14 covering the rear opening 6, in particular to retain the cushion 13 in the central cavity 3.

[0034] The rear wall 14 is permeable to air so that pressure on the front wall 15 causes air to be expelled from the central cavity 3 through said rear wall.

[0035] To allow air to pass through it, the rear wall 14 can be made of a porous material and / or be perforated.

[0036] In particular, the elastic properties of the cushion 13 make it possible to increase the air depression when the elastic return of said cushion to its original shape, which makes it possible to make the holding of the equipment reliable not only during its installation, but also during practice, insofar as the successive blows made on the area 15a contribute to maintaining this air depression and thus to strengthening the suction effect that it generates.

[0037] Advantageously, the rear face 4 can be provided with a material and / or a treatment, in particular based on a silicone-type elastomer coating, arranged to increase its coefficient of friction and / or its airtightness on the support 1.

[0038] In relation to [Fig.2], the front wall 15 is fixed, in particular by a weld line 16, on the front face 5 of the peripheral body 2.

[0039] Similarly, the rear wall 14 is fixed, in particular by a weld line 17, in the rear opening 6, in order to form, between said rear wall and the support 1, a space through which air can be expelled when a user presses on the front wall 15.
