Cable disconnecting device in the high-voltage electrical network

Abstract

A cable sectioning device (16) for use in a high-voltage electrical network is proposed. The device (16) is intended to be mounted on a terminal effector (18). The device comprises: a worm screw (26) adapted to rotate about a longitudinal axis (A); a cutting shear (22) configured to section a cable (12); and a vise (24) positioned near the cutting shear (22) and configured to grip and hold the cable during and after cutting. The rotation of the worm screw (26) simultaneously causes the cutting shear (22) to close to section the cable (10), and the vise (24) to close to hold the cable (10). (See abstract figure: Figure 3)
