Abstract

A garment hanger 10 with springless clips 14 is disclosed. The hanger has a body 12 with a hook 16 and a pair of arms 20. On each arm is a clip slidably connected thereto, the clips having a rachet (36, Fig. 6a) for controlling their closure. The clips are formed from first and second clip halves (38, 40, Fig. 3) with respective first and second ratchet portions. The first ratchet portion has at least one tooth and the second ratchet portion has a plurality of teeth and the engagement of the first and second ratchet portions provides the control of the closure of the clips.
