Synchronization of data by a user equipment in connection with connected devices

Abstract

A method includes receiving, by a user equipment (UE), a first signal from a first apparatus, the first signal comprising a first data (an audio data stream) for presentation by a second apparatus and a second data (a video data stream) for presentation by a third apparatus, the first data and the second data being synchronized with each other in time. The UE extracts the first and second data from the first signal and determines a timing for transmitting a second signal that comprises the first data to the second apparatus and for transmitting a third signal that comprises the second data to the third apparatus, the timing configured to approximately synchronize in time presentation of the first data and second data by the respective second and third apparatuses. The UE transmits the second signal to the second apparatus based on the timing and transmits the third signal to the third apparatus based on the timing. A second method comprises a UE receiving the first and second signals from first and second apparatuses, determining a timing which synchronises the first and second data in time and generating, based on the timing, a third signal comprising the first and second data synchronised in time, and transmitting the third signal to a third apparatus.
