Description
FIELD The present application relates to a method, apparatus, system and computer program. BACKGROUND A communication system can be seen as a facility that enables communication sessions between two or more entities such as user terminals, base stations and / or other nodes by providing carriers between the various entities involved in the communications path. The communication sessions may comprise, for example, communication of data for carrying communications such as voice, video, electronic mail (email), text message, multimedia and / or content data and so on. Nonlimiting examples of services provided comprise two-way or multi-way calls, data communication or multimedia services and access to a data network system, such as the Internet. In a wireless communication system at least a part of a communication session between at least two stations occurs over a wireless link. Examples of wireless systems comprise public land mobile networks (PLMN), satellite-based communication systems and different wireless local networks, for example wireless local area networks (WLAN). Some wireless systems can be divided into cells, and are therefore often referred to as cellular systems. A user can access the communication system by means of an appropriate communication device or terminal. A communication device of a user may be referred to as user equipment (UE) or user device. A communication device is provided with an appropriate signal receiving and transmitting apparatus for enabling communications, for example enabling access to a communication network or communications directly with other users. The communication device may access a carrier provided by a station, for example a base station of a cell, and transmit and / or receive communications on the carrier. DETAILED DESCRIPTION In the following certain embodiments are explained with reference to mobile communication devices capable of communication via a wireless cellular system and mobile communication systems serving such mobile communication devices. Reference sensitivity can be considered to be a minimum power (e.g., minimum mean power) applied to one of one or more antenna ports of a User Equipment (UE) at which the throughput shall meet or exceed the requirements for a specified reference measurement channel. In some communication systems, a relaxation of reference sensitivity is allowed as an exception. For example, in some situations band combinations lead to reference sensitivity degradation due to Radio Frequency (RF) impairments such as Uplink (UL) harmonics, harmonic mixing, Intermodulation (IMD), etc. A band combination may be considered to comprise a set of at least two frequency bands used for carrier aggregation or dual connectivity, where the respective frequency ranges can be: contiguous; non-contiguous. In some communication systems, to account for the reference sensitivity degradation, a relaxation of reference sensitivity is allowed. This is discussed in 3GPP TS 38.101-1 and 3GPP TS 38.101-3. The amount of allowed relaxation is defined as Maximum Sensitivity Degradation (MSD). In Carrier Aggregation (CA), two or more Component Carriers (CCs) are aggregated. A UE may simultaneously receive or transmit on one or multiple CCs depending on its capabilities. In Dual Connectivity (DC), a multiple Rx / Tx capable UE may be configured to utilise resources provided by two different nodes connected via non-ideal backhaul. In CA and / or DC operations, the MSD is the amount of relaxation of a reference sensitivity which is allowed by the UE to account for some radio frequency (RF) impairments, such as: uplink (UL) harmonics; harmonic mixing; intermodulation (IMD); etc. A lower MSD means that less relaxation of the reference sensitivity is required, so in most situations a lower MSD is preferable to a network operator. If a UE can report its lower MSD for CA / DC band combinations, the gNB / network can benefit from optimizing resource scheduling by differentiating the amount of MSD of UEs. The MSD impacts the ability of the UE to receive the downlink signals of a carrier, a UE might be not able to receive a signal correctly if the signal level is lower than the UE’s receiver’s specified sensitivity level plus the amount of MSD. The MSD is currently defined in standard requirements. Table 1 shows 2DU2UL inter-band Reference sensitivity Quadrature Phase Shift Keying (QPSK) Reference sensitivity power level (Prefsens) and uplink / downlink configurations for Power Class 3 (PC3) CA. These values are given in Table 7.3A.5-1 specified in 3GPP TS 38.101-1. Table 1 indicates that when inter-band carrier aggregation of CA_n3-n78 is configured, 26 dB reference sensitivity degradation due to IMD2 is allowed for 5 MHz channel bandwidth for n3 under a certain resource configuration. It should be noted that 5 MHz Channel Bandwidth (CBW) reference sensitivity for n3 is -97 dBm for 15 kHz SCS. Hence, the UE can pass the requirement with the desired signal power level of -71 dBm (-97 dBm + 26 dB) for a corresponding conformance test. As mentioned in R4-2016440, very large MSD values effectively render the band combinations useless for deployment of CA or DC features. Even if a network configures a UE with a band combination, the UE may or may not receive n3 DL signal correctly due to the very large MSD. If the UE does not receive the signal correctly, the time and frequency resource is not useful. It is noted that 3GPP requirements are minimum requirements, so there are UEs with lower MSD than specified MSD or no MSD. However, even if there are UEs with lower MSD values, they may be treated in the same manner as other UEs with higher MSD since there are currently no measures by which the network can distinguish UEs with lower or higher MSD. It can therefore be useful for one or more UEs to signal to the network their MSD value(s), so that the network can distinguish between UEs with lower MSD and those with higher MSD. This could be performed using capability signalling from the UE to the network. Table 1: 2DL / 2UL inter-band Reference sensitivity QPSK Prefsens and uplink / downlink configurations for Power Class 3 (PC3) CA The capability signalling of MSD from the UE to the network discussed in the above paragraph 5 may result in large signalling overhead due to the number of band combinations with MSD(s) and the information associated with reported MSD, e.g., PC (power class), MSD types, MSD source order if any, victim channel bandwidth, MSD values (thresholds) etc. Information associated with a reported MSD can be structured as shown in Figure 1. As can 10 be seen in the tree structure of Figure 1, as the amount of associated information increases, the amount of required information to be reported significantly increases. For the example of Figure 1, a CA_n3-n78 band combination is considered. If lower MSD capability is reported per power class 101, the amount of signalling approximately doubles 15 since it is likely that MSD values 109 can be different depending on the powers from each band. Power class 101 can be considered to comprise the maximum output power for any transmission bandwidth within the channel bandwidth of NR carrier. In some examples, the power class may be considered to be an achievable maximum output power per band (non-CA) or per band combination (CA / DC). As shown in Figure 1, reporting MSD for each MSD type 103 also increases the amount of signalling required. Table 1 shows MSD due to IMD(s) for CA_n3-n78. However, there are other MSD types like UL harmonics, cross band isolation and harmonic mixing. Some band combinations have MSDs from multiple MSD types. For example, CA_n3-n78 has MSDs not only due to IMD, but also UL harmonics and harmonic mixing. As shown in Figure 1, reporting MSD for each MSD type order 105 also increases the amount of signalling required. For each MSD type corresponding to a cause of reference sensitivity degradation (e.g., IMD, UL harmonics, UL harmonic mixing, etc.) there are conditions where the reference sensitivity degradation takes place. In some examples, each different order of an MSD type can have a corresponding different condition and a different amount of reference sensitivity degradation. For example, different orders of IMD may take place under different conditions: IMD2, IMD3, etc. Each of these different orders may be referred to as an MSD type order. In Table 1, MSD due to IMD(s) for CA_n3-n78 is shown, where IMD2, IMD4 and IMD7 are defined, and MSD for each MSD type order is different. Although the example in the above paragraph is for IMD(s) another MSD type such as harmonic mixing can also have MSD type orders, such as UL1 / DL2, UL1 / DL3, UL3 / DL2, etc. For integers X and Y in ULX / DLY, it means that X*fuL = Y*fDL. For example, CA_n12-n77 has UL1 / DL5, where n12 DL frequency range is 729-746MHz. 5*(729 - 746)=3645 -3730 MHz, while n77 frequency range (TDD) is 3300-4200MHz. So, there is overlap where 1*fut = 5*fDL. As such, the DL’s reference sensitivity faces degradation due to harmonic mixing order of UL1 / DL5. Depending on order for MSD type of IMD, measures that the network takes can be different. For example, if the network considers powers from two bands, in case of IMD2, the impact of each band’s Tx power is the same theoretically, while in case of IMD4, e.g., f1+3*f2, Tx power of the band with frequency of f2 has more impact on the MSD. It is therefore useful for a UE to report MSD value 109 as well as IMD order. As shown in Figure 1, reporting MSD with associated victim band information 107 also increases the amount of signalling required. A victim band may be considered to comprise a band which suffers from RF impairments, e.g., due to CA communications, DC communications, etc. MSD due to IMD(s) forCA_n3-n78 always impacts on n3 DL, because this is Frequency Division Duplex (FDD) + Time Division Duplex (TDD), so there is no impact on n78 DL during simultaneous UL. However, for other CA band combinations, this is not always the case. For example, for CA_n25-n66 (FDD+FDD), for which information is shown in Table 2, the same IMD3 can impact n25 DL or n66 DL depending on a composition ratio of n25 and n66 frequencies, e.g., |2f?5 + / - feel or |f2s + / - 2fee| as shown in Table 3. In some examples, an MSD value for a UE can be indicated by the UE to the network by reporting a specific MSD value for the UE to the network. In other examples, an MSD value for a UE can be indicated by the UE to the network by reporting, to the network, a range of MSD values in which the MSD value for the UE is within. In some examples, the range of MSD values in which the MSD value for the UE is within can be indicated by an “MSD class”, where an MSD class correlates to a particular range of MSD values. Table 4 shows an example of how MSD classes can be defined with respect to MSD ranges. Each MSD class can be indicated by a particular bit combination sent from UE to network. It will be noted that these values are examples only. Bit Maximum allowed actual MSD (i.e. Thresholds) Lower MSD Capability classes Note 00 OdB I Actual MSD = 0 01 3 dB n 0 <Actual MSD <3 10 6 dB in 3 <Actual MSD <6 11 15 dB IV 6 <Actual MSD < 15 Table 4: MSD classes and associated information MSD thresholds can be possible values or classified ranges of the values to be reported by a UE for e.g., MSD value per victim channel bandwidth per MSD type order per MSD type per Power Class (PC) per band combination. To reduce signalling overhead from UE to a network, filtering MSD reports by network enquiry can be performed. For examples, an MSD value or MSD class (indicating a range of MSD values) per victim channel bandwidth per MSD type order per MSD type per PC per band combination by sets of band combinations, victim bands, or MSD types can be sent to UE as a request, and the UE signals lower MSD capabilities meeting the designated condition(s). For example, when a UE reports MSD value or MSD class per MSD type order (source) in UE capability signalling, as shown in Table 1 for example, the UE reports MSD values or MSD class for each band combination as requested by the network (CA_n3-n78 and CA_n25-n66 in Table 1) if the UE can have at least lower MSD values than the corresponding specified MSD values in the specifications. This can exclude band combination not supported by the network, but cannot prevent the UE from reporting all MSD values or MSD classes fora given band combination as requested by the network. The MSD filtering discussed in the above paragraph can reduce the signalling to some extent. However, some reported MSD values or MSD classes may still not be applicable and useful to the network as different networks will have different allocated spectrum ranges in a frequency band. For example different operators may be allocated different frequency ranges, so the networks corresponding to the operators will only operate in the allocated frequency ranges. When a network does not operate in an entire spectrum of a frequency band, the UE may report MSD values or MSD classes and associated MSD information to the network for frequency ranges that are not allocated to the network, which increases signalling overhead unnecessarily. Some of the reported MSD values or MSD classes and associated MSD information are therefore not useful to the network. An example is shown in Figure 2, considering IMD3 for CA_n25-n66. As shown in Table 2, the frequency range for the DL n25 band is 1930 MHz to 1995 MHz, as shown at 215 of Figure 2. The UL frequency range for the n25 band is 1850 MHz to 1915 MHz as shown at 213, and the UL frequency range for the n66 band is 1710 MHz to 1780 MHz as shown at 211. One of the formulas for an IMD3 for CA_n25-n66 is 2*f25 - fee. A condition to check if the IMD3 due to 2*f25 - fee falls into n25 DL is therefore: 1930 <2*f25 - f66 1995, where 1850 <f25 <1915 and 1710 <f66 <1780 (1) The frequency range for the DL n25 band is 2110 MHz to 2200 MHz, as shown at 217 of Figure 2. A condition to check if the IMD3 due to 2*f25 - fee falls into n25 DL is therefore: 2110 <2*f25 — fee 2200, where 1850 <f25 <1915 and 1710 <f66 <1780 (2) From the above formula, we can derive the frequency ranges whose 2*f25 - fee (i.e., IMD3 for CA_n26-n66) products impact on n25 DL or n66 DL as shown in Figure 3. In the example of Figure 2, for each frequency band the frequency used by an example network is shown in hatched shading. The frequency used could be different in other example networks, and could be at the bottom end, in the middle or at the higher end of each band (in the example of Figure 2, the frequency used is at the higher end of each band, but it will be understood that this is an example only). In the example of Figure 2: the frequency range used by the network operator for the n66 UL band is 1750 to 1780 MHz; the frequency range used by the network operator for the n25 UL band is 1890 to 1915 MHz; the frequency range used by the network operator for the n25 DL band is 1970 to 1995 MHz; the frequency range used by the network operator for the n66 DL band is 2150 to 2200 MHz. Knowing the operator’s spectrum holdings in the example of Figure 2, the formulas of (1) and (2) can be modified, respectively. 1970 <2*f25 - f66 <1995, where 1890 <f25 <1915 and 1750 <f66 <1780 (1)’ 2150 <2*f25 — f66 <2200, where 1890 <f25 <1915 and 1750 <f66 <1780 (2)’ With respect to (1)’, the left most expression can be divided into two formulas: f66 <2*f25 - 1970 (1-1)’ f66 >2*f25 - 1995 (1-2)’ If we put the minimum frequency of fe into (1-1)’ and (1-2)’, fee 2*1890 - 1970 = 1810, f66 s 2*1890 - 1995 = 1785. Both are more than f66 UL frequencies. With respect to (2)’, the left most expression can also be divided into two formulas: f66 <2*f25 - 2150 (2-1)’ f66>2*f25-2200 (2-2)’ If we put the maximum frequency of fe into (2-1)’ and (2-2)’, fee - 2*1915 - 2150 = 1680, fee 2*1915 - 2200 = 1630. Both are less than fee UL frequencies. From the above it can be inferred that there are no frequency ranges to meet (1)’ and (2)’. Hence, we can know that there is no IMD3 impact of IMD3 (2*f2s - fee products) on n25 DL and n66 DL. The above can also be determined by representing (1) and (2) in graphical form, as shown in Figures 4 and 5 respectively. From Figure 4, it can be seen that as far as n25 UL frequency is above 1887.5 MHz, there is no overlap with the region enclosed in bold lines. From Figure 5, it can be seen that as far as n66 UL frequency is above 1720 MHz, there is no overlap with the region enclosed in bold lines. As such, if a UE can obtain exact frequency ranges available of the respective bands available under a network in advance, the UE can immediately decide which victim bands per MSD type order per MSD types per band combination have MSD. Examples provide a method to inform a UE of the exact frequency ranges available for the respective bands under a network before the UE signals UE capabilities. The UE decides which victim bands per MSD type order per MSD types per band combination have MSD under the network and can signal associated Lower MSD capabilities accordingly if the UE can have at least lower MSD values than the corresponding specified MSD values in the specifications. Figure 6 shows a method for MSD reporting. At 625, the network 623 (e.g., a base station, a gNB, etc.) sends a capability enquiry to UE 621. In some examples, the capability enquiry may be broadcast from network 623. The capability enquiry may comprise information defining frequency range(s) operated by network 623. In some examples, this information may be defined for each operating frequency band in network 623. Each operating frequency band may be considered to comprise a band that is involved in CA and / or DC communications. In other examples the network 623 may not be capable of utilizing the reported MSD values or classified MSD classes and associated MSD information or may not need the report at all, e.g., the network 623 acknowledges that there is no MSD issue under the network. In such an example, the network at 625 may inform UE 621 of denial of MSD reporting at 625. In such an example, the UE at 627 may not send all MSD information. In other examples the network 623 may not be capable of this capability enquiry of sending the capability enquiry at 625. In such an example, the UE at 627 may send all MSD information that it has. The network 623 may define that it uses less than a whole operating frequency band to UE 621when a network operator has less than an entire allocation of an operating frequency band, for example. In other examples, network623 may indicate a frequency band without indicating a frequency range that is less than the whole operating frequency band to UE 621. In such cases the UE 621 will assume that for operating frequency bands where no limitation is provided, the network 623 may use the entirety of the operating frequency band. In some examples, the capability enquiry sent at 625 may comprise a list of frequency bands that network 625 is interested in. Network 625 may list the bands without any frequency limitation at all. Network 625 may list the bands each with a respective frequency limitation. B-3: Network 625 may list the bands with only some of the bands listed with a frequency limitation. At 627, UE 621 reports UE capability information to network 623. The capability information may comprise MSD values or an MSD class (indicating a range of MSD values) for frequency range(s) operated by network 623. In some examples the MSD values or MSD class is reported generally for each frequency range(s) operated by network 623. In some examples, an MSD value or MSD class may be reported for each of at least one of the following characteristics in the frequency range(s) operated by network 623: for each victim band; for each MSD source order; for each MSD type; for each band combination. In some examples, the MSD values or MSD class may be reported based on a combination of two or more different characteristics. In some examples, the MSD values or MSD class may be reported based on a combination of all four of the characteristics, such that MSD values or ranges in the frequency range(s) operated by the network 623 are reported per victim band per MSD source order per MSD type per band combination. As non-limiting examples, an MSD value or MSD class for frequency range(s) operated by network 623 may be reported in at least one of the following ways: • For each victim band; • For each MSD type order; • For each MSD type; • For each victim band per MSDs type order per MSD type per band combination. • For each victim band per MSDs type order per MSD type per power class per band combination. Before sending the message at 627, UE 621 determines a set of lower MSD capabilities to send for the frequency band(s) based on the information describing the frequency range(s) operated by network 623. Assuming network 623 does not use the entire frequency range of each operating frequency band(s), the determined set of frequencies is smaller than the set of all operating frequency band(s). This minimises the amount of overhead signalling required at 627, particularly when considering examples where lower MSD capabilities are reported for multiple combinations of characteristics of the frequency ranges used by network 623. The message sent at 625 may comprise an information field to indicate available frequency ranges for each supported frequency band included in the message to UE 621. The information field may comprise a lowerEdgeDL / UL which indicates the lower edge of the available frequency range for DL and UL individually and may also comprise an upperEdgeDL / UL indicates the upper edge of the available frequency range for DL and UL. UE 621 can store information (e.g., lookup tables) defining relationships between MSD, victim band, MSD type etc. UE 621 can use this to determine information associated to an MSD value. UE 621 may use the information indicated by network 623 to filter relevant MSD(s) to provide to network 623. Figure 7 shows an example of frequency bands. FDD UL band 731, FDD DL band 733 and TDD band 735 are shown. The hatched portion of each band shows the frequency range operated by a network operator. Each hatched portion has a lower edge that indicates a lower edge of the available frequency range and an upper edge than indicates an upper edge of the available frequency range. These lowerEdgeDL / UL and upperEdgeDL / UL values can be provided to a UE to define frequency ranges operated by the network operator. Figure 8 shows an example where a single frequency band (in this example, a DL band 837) has multiple frequency ranges for a given frequency band in case of non-contiguous spectrum allocation. This may happen where an operator is allocated two portions of spectra in an operating band. In such an example, the single frequency band has more than one lowerEdgeDL value and more than one upperEdgeDL value. The following considers examples of messages an Information Elements (lEs) comprised in the messages that may be sent between network 623 and UE 621. It will be understood that these are examples for illustration only, and messages having other structures and lEs having other structures may be sent at 625 and 627. According to some examples, the message sent at 625 of Figure 6 comprises a UECapabilityEnquiry message used to request UE radio access capabilities for NR as well as for other RATs. The message may be sent using Signalling radio bearer 1 (SRB 1) SRB1, RLC-SAP: AM; Logical channel: DCCH and in a direction from the network 623 to the UE 621. According to some examples, the UECapabilityEnquiry message may have the following structure: UECapabilityEnquiry message - ASN1START - TAG-UECAPABILITYENQUIRY-START UECapabilityEnquiry ::= rrc-T ransactionldentifier critical Extensions ueCapabilityEnquiry criticalExtensionsFuture } SEQUENCE{ RRC-Transactionldentifier, CHOICE { UECapabilityEnquiry-IEs SEQUENCE {} UECapabilityEnquiry-IEs ::= SEQUENCE { ue-CapabilityRAT-RequestList UE-CapabilityRAT-RequestList, lateNonCriticalExtension OCTET STRING OPTIONAL, ue-CapabilityEnquiryExt OCTET STRING (CONTAINING UECapabilityEnquiry- v1560-IEs) OPTIONAL- Need N } UECapabilityEnquiry-v1560-IEs ::= SEQUENCE { capabilityRequestFilterCommon UE-CapabilityRequestFilterCommon OPTIONAL, - Need N nonCritical Extension UECapabilityEnquiry-v1610-IEs OPTIONAL } UECapabilityEnquiry-v1610-IEs ::= SEQUENCE { rrc-SegAllowed-r16 ENUMERATED {enabled} OPTIONAL, - Need N nonCriticalExtension SEQUENCE {} OPTIONAL } - TAG-UECAPABILITYENQUIRY-STOP - ASN1STOP The Information Element (IE) UE-CapabilityRAT-RequestList is used to request UE capabilities for one or more RATs from the UE. An example structure of a UE-CapabilityRAT-RequestList IE is given below. UE-CapabilityRAT-RequestList information element - ASN1START -TAG-UE-CAPABILITYRAT-REQUESTLIST-START UE-CapabilityRAT-RequestList ::= SEQUENCE (SIZE (1..maxRAT- CapabilityContainers)) OF UE-CapabilityRAT-Request UE-CapabilityRAT-Request ::= SEQUENCE { rat-Type RAT-Type, capabilityRequestFilter OCTET STRING OPTIONAL, - Need N -TAG-UE-CAPABILITYRAT-REQU ESTLIST-STOP - ASN1STOP The capabilityRequestFilter comprises information by which the network requests the UE to filter the UE capabilities. For rat-Type set to nr or eutra-nr: the encoding of the capabilityRequestFilter is defined in UE-CapabilityRequestFilterNR. For rat-Type set to eutra: the encoding of the capabilityRequestFilter is defined by UECapabilityEnquiry message defined in TS36.331, in which RAT-Type in UE-CapabilityRequest includes only 'eutra'. The rat-Type filed describes the RAT type for which the network (NW) requests UE capabilities. The UE-CapabilityRequestFilterNR IE can be used to request filtered UE capabilities. According to some examples, the structure of a UE-CapabilityRequestFilterNR IE may be as follows: UE-CapabilityRequestFilterNR information element - ASN1START - TAG-UE-CAPABILITYREQUESTFILTERNR-START UE-CapabilityRequestFilterNR ::= SEQUENCE { frequencyBandListFilter FreqBandList OPTIONAL, - Need N nonCriticalExtension UE-CapabilityRequestFilterNR-v1540 OPTIONAL } UE-CapabilityRequestFilterNR-v1540 ::= SEQUENCE { srs-SwitchingTimeRequest ENUMERATED {true} OPTIONAL, - Need N nonCriticalExtension UE-CapabilityRequestFilterNR-v1710 OPTIONAL } UE-CapabilityRequestFilterNR-v1710 ::= SEQUENCE { sidelinkRequest-r17 ENUMERATED {true} OPTIONAL, - Need N nonCriticalExtension UE-CapabilityRequestFilterNR-v18xy OPTIONAL } UE-CapabilityRequestFilterNR-v18xy ::= SEQUENCE { frequencvBandListFilter-v18xy FreqBandList-v18xy OPTIONAL, nonCriticalExtension SEQUENCE {} OPTIONAL } --TAG-UE-CAPABILITYREQUESTFILTERNR-STOP - ASN1STOP It should be noted that in the above example IE, the underlined field FreqBandlnformationNR-v18xy is designed to indicate available frequency ranges for each supported frequency band included in the existing field of FreqBandlnformationNR in FreqBandList. In such an example, if frequencyBandl_istFilter-v18xy is present the size of entries shall be the same as frequencyBandListFilter. In other words, each entry in the new filtering list (i.e., frequencyBandListFilter-v18xy) indicates the available frequency ranges corresponding to the frequency band at the same entry in the original filter list (i.e., frequencyBandListFilter). For instance, the 1st entry of the available frequency ranges in the new filtering list corresponds to the 1st entry of the frequency band in the original list, and so on. The FreqBandList IE can be used by the network request NR CA, NR non-CA and / or MR-DC band combinations for specific NR and / or E-UTRA frequency bands and / or up to a specific number of carriers and / or up to specific aggregated bandwidth. It can also be used to request feature sets (for NR) and feature set combinations (for NR and MR-DC). For NR sidelink communication, this is used by the initiating UE to request sidelink UE radio access capabilities from the peer UE. The FreqBandList IE according to some examples may have the following structure, where the underlined fields are used to provide information of frequency range(s) used by an operator of a network for frequency bands: FreqBandList information element - ASN1START - TAG-FREQBANDLIST-START FreqBandList ::= SEQUENCE (SIZE (1 ..maxBandsMRDC)) OF FreqBandlnformation FreqBandList-v18xy ::= FreqBandlnformation-v18xy SEQUENCE (SIZE (1..maxBandsMRDC)) OF FreqBandlnformation ::= bandinform ationEUTRA bandlnformationNR CHOICE { Freq Bandinform ationEUTRA, Freq BandlnformationNR FreqBandlnformation-v18xy ::= CHOICE { bandlnformationEUTRA-v18vy______FreqBandlnformationEUTRA-v18xy, bandlnformationNR-v18xy________FreqBandlnformationNR-v18xy } FreqBandlnformationEUTRA ::= SEQUENCE { bandEUTRA FreqBandlndicatorEUTRA, ca-BandwidthClassDL-EUTRA CA-BandwidthClassEUTRA OPTIONAL, - Need N ca-BandwidthClassUL-EUTRA CA-BandwidthClassEUTRA OPTIONAL -- Need N FregBandlnformationEUTRA-v18xv ::= SEQUENCE ( carrierFrequencyRanqeEUTRA-List-r18 SEQUENCE (SIZE (1..maxFreqRanqe-r18)) OF CarrierFrequencyRanqeEUTRA-r18 1 CarrierFrquencyRanqeEUTRA-r18 ::= SEQUENCE { lowerEdqeDL-r18_________________ARFCN-ValueEUTRA, upperEdqeDL-r18________________ARFCN-ValueEUTRA, lowerEdqeUL-r18_________________ARFCN-ValueEUTRA, upperEdqeUL-r18 ARFCN-ValueEUTRA, FreqBandlnformationNR ::= SEQUENCE { bandNR FreqBandlndicatorNR, maxBandwidthRequestedDL AggregatedBandwidth OPTIONAL, -- Need N maxBandwidthRequestedUL AggregatedBandwidth OPTIONAL, -- Need N maxCarriersRequestedDL INTEGER (1,.maxNrofServingCells) OPTIONAL, - Need N maxCarriersRequestedUL INTEGER (1..maxNrofServingCells) OPTIONAL-Need N FreqBandlnformationNR-v18xy ::= SEQUENCE{ carrierFrequencyRanqeNR-List-r18 SEQUENCE (SIZE (1..maxFreqRanqe-r18)) OF CarrierFrequencyRanqeNR-r18 1 CarrierFrquencyRanqeNR-r18 ::= lowerEdqeDL-r18 SEQUENCE{ ARFCN-ValueNR, upperEdqeDL-r18_________________ARFCN-ValueNR, lowerEdqeUL-r18_________________ARFCN-ValueNR, upperEdqeUL-r18 ARFCN-ValueNR, } Aggregated Bandwidth ::= ENUMERATED {mhz50, rnhzIOO, mhz150, mhz200, mhz250, mhz300, mhz350, mhz400, mhz450, mhz500, mhz550, mhz600, mhz650, mhz700, mhz750, mhz800} - TAG-FREQBANDLIST-STOP - ASN1ST0P According to some examples, if a UE receives a carrierFrequencyRangeNR-List IE, for each band combination, if the UE supports different MSD than the MSD specified in 3GPP TS 38.101, the UE includes the supported MSD value for the corresponding frequency band in the band combination. According to some examples, a UE can report necessary MSD capability information to a network, and the network can obtain the MSD capability information only for the case where it is applicable to the network operating frequency range. Figure 9 shows an example method flow. The method may be performed, for example, by a UE as described herein. At 900, the method comprises receiving, from a network, an indication comprising a plurality of frequency bands of the network and at least one frequency range of at least one of the plurality of the frequency bands of the network. The indication may be received from a network node, such as a base station, gNB, etc. At 902, the method comprises determining MSD information based on the indication. At 904, the method comprises sending the MSD information to the network. Figure 10 shows an example method flow. The method may be performed, for example, by a network as described herein. The method may be performed by a network node, gNB, etc. At 1000, the method comprises sending, to a user equipment, an indication comprising a plurality of frequency bands of a network and at least one frequency range of at least one of the plurality of the frequency bands of the network. At 1002, the method comprises receiving, from the user equipment, MSD information that has been determined by the user equipment based on the indication.
