Abstract
A washable multi-layer hygiene pad 10 with a top layer to 12 contact a wearer’s vaginal and perineal area, a middle absorbent layer 14 and a backing material 16. The top layer is formed from a porous natural fibre composite such as bamboo charcoal fabric, a microfibre absorbent layer is positioned between the top layer and backing material, and the backing material comprises a non-slip portion that may comprised a pattern such as strips, dots or discs of non-slip material to contact an inner surface of the wearer’s undergarment. A liquid impervious washbag dimensioned to receive one or more hygiene pads. The washbag may have a liquid impervious envelope sealed by two waterproof zips and may have an interior separator for separating clean and used items. The washbag may have an interior netting compartment to retain one or more hygiene pads, in a form such as an elongate sock.
