Claims

1. A fuel catalyst assembly comprising a casting, wherein the casting comprises at least two noble metals, in combination with at least two additional components made of two further, different metals.

2. An assembly of claim 1, wherein the casting comprises at least three noble metals.

3. An assembly of claim 2, wherein the casting comprises at least four noble metals.

4. An assembly of any preceding claim, wherein the casting comprises at least four metals.

5. An assembly of any preceding claim, wherein the two additional components are formed of copper and mild steel, respectively.

6. An assembly of any preceding claim, wherein the two additional components are attached to the casting by passing into the casting from opposite sides of the casting and being coupled together.

7. An assembly of claim 6, wherein the two additional components are connected together by complementary male and female screw threads formed thereon.

8. An assembly of any of claims 1 to 5, wherein the two additional components form a mesh, tube or cage which contains the casting.

9. An assembly of claim 8, wherein the mesh, tube or cage contains a plurality of the castings.

10. An assembly of any preceding claim, wherein the noble metals comprise antimony and bismuth.

11. An assembly of any preceding claim, wherein the casting comprises the elements tin, antimony, lead and bismuth.5 12. An assembly of claim 11, wherein tin forms 46 - 76% of the casting, antimonyforms 12 - 33% of the casting, bismuth forms 5 - 18% of the casting, and lead forms .5 - 3% of the casting.

13. An in-line fuel catalyst apparatus for insertion in a fuel flow path, the io apparatus comprising a tube defining a tube interior space, and a plurality of fuel catalyst assemblies according to any preceding claim mounted in the tube interior space.

14. An apparatus of claim 13, wherein copper mesh is provided in the tube interior is space.

15. An apparatus of claim 13 or claim 14, wherein ferrite material is provided in the tube interior space.IntellectualPropertyOfficeApplication GB2511440.6Search report under Section 17 of the Patents Act 1977Date search completed: 30 November 2025Claims searched: 1 to 15International classificationSubclass and subgroup Valid from F02B51 / 02 01 / 01 / 2006 F02M27 / 02 01 / 01 / 2006Field of searchWorldwide search of patent documents classified in the following areas of the IPC:F02M, F02BDatabases used in the preparation of this search report:SEARCH-PATENTDocuments considered to be relevantPatent literatureCategory Relevant Document of relevanceclaimsX 1,4, 5, 8, 9, 13 US 5738692 A WRIGHT, See figure 1 and column 2 line 65 to column 3 line 39, Disclosing catalyst elements 16 cast from antimony, mercury, tin and lead, with separate additional components of a metal container 10 and the mild steel mesh discs 20.
