A fin assembly

Abstract

A fin assembly 10 for attaching to a surfboard or paddleboard. The fin assembly comprises a fin 20, at least one wheel 22 mounted to the fin, and an attachment means (24, Fig 2B) for releasably attaching the fin assembly to the board 1, such as potentially to a fin box (2, Fig 2A) therefrom. This assembly thus allows the board to be wheeled along the ground without damaging the fin from the board, and without the need for a separate wheeled trolley to transport the board in this time. The fin assembly can be switched out with a normal / wheel-less fin 5 that is also configured to attach to the board, such as to its fin box, once the board is in the water. In this time, the fin assembly can be stowed whilst the board is in use, in the water, for subsequent re-attachment once the board requires transporting / wheeling from the water. Figure 4
