Electrical switch unit for electrical device

Abstract

An electrical switch unit comprises: an actuator that is moveable between an ON position and an OFF position, and a signalling module that outputs a signal indicating the movement or position of the actuator. The signalling module comprises a variable resistor element 110 disposed on a circuit board 120, a film 130, and a moving component 100 connected to the actuator. A conductive layer 130A is disposed on a first surface 130C of the film 130, which is spaced apart from the variable resistor element 110 by a space 150. One end of the conductive layer 130A is electrically connected to the circuit board 120. Movement of the actuator moves the moving component 100 relative to a second surface 130D of the film 130, to urge the conductive layer 130A of the first film surface 130C to form contact with the variable resistor element 110, so that the effective resistance of the variable resistor element changes in response to movement of the actuator.
