Abstract
Radio frequency (RF) data transmitted from an RF emitter is obtained at a remote node of a system. The data is processed at the remote node using a trained profiling model to extract features. From this, the emitter can be determined to be known or unknown. If the emitter is not known, data is transmitted to the system's central node. If the emitter is known, data is stored in a local database at the remote node. The profiling model is updated in response to detecting new, unknown emitters. An RF fingerprint may be determined for each emitter and an identifier assigned to the emitter based on this. The remote nodes may be satellite-based. [Figure 9]
