A propeller

Abstract

A propeller is described. The propeller comprises a aerofoil, a hub, a primary structural member, and a secondary structural member. The primary structural member and the secondary structrual member are each configured to connect the aerofoil to the hub via a respective independent load path. Each structural member is configured to withstand a maximum centrifugal force exerted on the aerofoil in operation in the event that the other structural member fails. (Figure 7)
