Abstract

There is disclosed a smart device designed for non-invasive and continuous monitoring of organoid and cell culture growth. Said device features a monolithic 3D-printed, sterilizable base (2) which adapts to commercial well plates (25) and accommodates multiple, heterogeneous biosensors (3) (e.g. glucose, lactic acid, pH, dissolved O2, and temperature biosensors). The measurements are acquired by an analog-to-digital conversion system (5), undergo local pre-processing based on calibration, and are temporarily stored before wireless transmission (Wi-Fi / Bluetooth) to a cloud service. Web interface allows live visualization and remote parameterization. Firmware with self-diagnostic loop and automatic restart ensures uninterrupted operation. The solution reduces costs and the risk of contamination, increasing the accuracy and speed of decision-making in biology, biotechnology and biomedical applications.
