TECHNIQUES FOR PERCEPTION ASSISTANCE USING POSITIONING AND ASSISTANCE DATA

Abstract

Disclosed are techniques for wireless communications. In an aspect, a user equipment (UE) may transmit, to a network entity, information relating to perception-based positioning that includes information relating to metrics corresponding to one or more degrees of freedom (DoF) parameters. In some cases, the information relating to perception-based positioning may be obtained by a modem from the UE via a cross-layer application programming interface (API). The UE may receive, from the network entity, a radio frequency (RF)-based positioning configuration responsive to the information relating to perception-based positioning.
