Abstract

This article is used to hold an umbrella in a folded state and to suspend it from any object, such as a backpack, bag, chair, or table, via, for example, a carabiner or an S-shaped hook attached to an insertion hole provided at the upper end of the main belt. This article is composed of a main belt and a pair of upper and lower wrappers provided at the lower end of the main belt and above the lower end, and these main belt and wrappers are made of flexible materials, such as belts woven from synthetic or natural fibers or synthetic resin tape-like members. An engaging portion made of, for example, a hook-and-loop fastener or a hook is provided on the outer surface of one end of the wrapper belt, while an engaged portion that engages with the engaging portion is provided on the inner surface of the other end. The umbrella is held by this article by aligning the main body of the umbrella along the main belt, wrapping each wrapper belt around the main body, and engaging the engaging portion with the engaged portion. In this state, a locking member such as a carabiner or S-shaped hook, appropriate for the object to be locked, is inserted into the insertion hole at the upper end of the main strap, and the locking member is locked to the object to be locked, such as a bag, backpack, chair, table, etc., allowing the umbrella to be hung from the object to be locked, freeing the user from the troublesome task of holding a folded umbrella in their hands.
