Abstract

This image shows a device for checking the rotation speed of the circulating motor in an artificial heart-lung machine, in order to prevent unintentional backflow of circulation when the motor speed is reduced. As shown in the image, the set coast speed (a speed pre-set to prevent accidental backflow when changing the motor speed) and the motor speed are displayed on an arc-shaped indicator using differences in brightness. An icon indicating the set coast speed is displayed outside the indicator, and an icon indicating the current motor speed is displayed inside the indicator. The indicator displays the motor speed with different brightness levels until it reaches the reference coast speed, and when it exceeds the coast speed, allowing the user to check the rotation speed at a glance. Note that the display of the indicator and icons may be reversed; for example, the icons for the set coast speed and motor speed may be displayed around the indicator, and the current motor speed may be displayed on the arc-shaped indicator using differences in brightness.
