Abstract

This article is a hat that is mainly worn when playing golf. Conventionally, hats that can hold a ball marker are known to have a metal clip with a magnet attached, but wearing such a hat on a golf course poses the risk of lightning strikes. This article is provided with a slit for attaching a ball marker on the brim of the hat (part shown by a solid line), and is effective as a measure against lightning strikes. As shown in [Enlarged view of part AB] and [Cross-sectional view DD'], the slit has a slit (long, thin hole) that penetrates from the front to the back of the brim. The edge of the hole of the slit is sewn with thread like a buttonhole, so that even if the shaft of a stabbing-type ball marker is inserted into the hole of the slit, the slit is unlikely to fray and the ball marker can be securely held. In addition, a pair of symmetrical slits are provided on the right and left sides of the brim, so that the ball marker can be easily attached and removed regardless of whether the person is right-handed or left-handed.
