Abstract
As shown in the reference perspective view, this device is removably attached to a pole-based core drill, which uses a pole fixed to the work surface via a base and drives the drill body along the pole to drill holes in the work surface, and surrounds the drill body. This device consists of two cover plates with an L-shaped cross section, which are combined to form a U-shaped cross section and held in place by fasteners. A number of through holes are aligned vertically and horizontally on a portion of the upper half and a portion of the lower half of the left-right sides of the two cover plates. Two stays extend from the top and bottom of the rear ends of the two cover plates, and magnetic plates are attached to the inside of these stays. This device surrounds the drill body on three sides except for one side, which is the side closest to and facing the pole. The two stays are fixed to the pole by the respective magnetic plates, and the device is removably attached to the core drill. By covering the drill body with this article in this way, it is possible to prevent the worker's work clothes, gloves, etc. from coming into contact with and becoming entangled in the rotating drill body while the core drill is in use, and to prevent sheets, ropes, etc. installed at the construction site from flying off and becoming entangled in the rotating drill body. On the other hand, while the core drill is in use, the condition of the drill body inside the article and the condition of the drill body drilling the construction surface by the drill body can be visually observed through the many through holes in the article, allowing the construction status by the core drill to be visually confirmed.
