Abstract

This earthenware pot is microwave-safe and comprises a clay pot body, an inner lid with a tray that is placed inside the body, and an outer lid that covers the top opening of the clay pot body. The clay pot body of this article is provided with a stepped portion inside for placing the inner lid. The inner lid of this article is also provided with a plurality of through-holes on its outer periphery. When cooking rice with this article, rice is placed in the bottom of the clay pot body and ingredients such as vegetables are placed in the tray of the inner lid. Steam generated by heating is then supplied from the bottom of the clay pot body to the tray through the through-holes in the inner lid, allowing the ingredients placed on the tray to be cooked simultaneously with the rice.
