Adapter with plate for installing formwork panels

Abstract

This product is a plate-attached adapter used to install formwork panels for pouring concrete when placing a concrete cap on a retaining wall. As shown in the reference front perspective view and reference rear perspective view of the plate alone, the plate has a pyramidal shape with a protruding center, and a screw hole for threading the adapter into the center of the pyramidal shape. As shown in the reference perspective view and reference side view of the adapter alone, the adapter has a cylindrical shape with a female thread on the inner circumferential surface and a male thread on the outer circumferential surface. As shown in the reference front perspective view and reference rear perspective view of an enlarged portion of the adapter, the male thread is threaded into the screw hole so that the back surface of the adapter is approximately flush with the back surface of the central part of the plate, and the adapter protrudes forward from the center of the plate. As shown in the reference perspective view showing the installation, this product is attached by spanning the back surfaces of multiple (here, four) formwork panels temporarily fixed on the retaining wall and fastening the four corners of the plate to each formwork panel with bolts. As shown in the reference longitudinal cross-sectional view of the completed construction, the separator, which has been inserted into the form plate behind the form panel, is threaded into the female thread of the adapter, allowing the form plate to stand independently behind the form panel. In this state, concrete is poured between the form panel and the form plate.
