Information Recorder

Abstract

This device is a small, portable information recorder capable of recording video and audio during, for example, inspections of various equipment and machinery. It features a camera mounted on the top of its vertically elongated body. This camera is tiltable, allowing the angle of the camera to be adjusted (see Reference Oblique View and Reference Oblique Views 1, 2, and 3 for usage). The device also features an LCD screen on the front of the vertically elongated body that displays the recorded video. The recorder holds the device so that the LCD screen on the front is visible, and tilts the camera toward the rear of the device (see Reference Oblique View 3 for usage). This allows the recorder to view the contents of various videos on the LCD screen while recording the video. Furthermore, by tilting the camera toward the LCD screen (see Reference Oblique View) and holding the device so that the rear of the device is visible, or by attaching the device to the recorder's work clothes using the included clip mount, the worker being videotaped can view the contents of various videos on the LCD screen. In addition, if the camera part is tilted and pointed upwards on the main body (see reference oblique view 2 for usage), and the main body is attached to a helmet so that the camera part faces forward of the person recording, video of what is in front of the person recording can be recorded. In this way, the angle of the camera part on the main body can be adjusted (see reference oblique views 1, 2, and 3 for usage), making it easy to record a variety of videos depending on the site.
