Water-stopping material

Abstract

This product is a water-swelling water-stopping material used to prevent water leakage from bolt holes used in tunnel construction using the shield tunneling method, for example. The product has multiple ridges formed along its inner surface, which increase the pressure on the bolt. The cross-sectional shape of the product, as shown in the "Front View" and "AA Cross-Section," is a line-symmetrical triangle, making it easier to crush and providing a good fit and improved water-stopping performance. As shown in "Reference Diagram 1 Showing the Usage State," the product is installed between the retaining member (washer) and the wall surface (segment). When a bolt is inserted into the bolt hole, the product maintains its shape to a certain extent even after being pressed by the retaining member, ensuring water-stopping performance, as shown in "Reference Diagram 2 Showing the Usage State."
