Abstract
This product is a component used on railway tracks to secure a floor plate, on which rails and rail fastening devices are mounted, made of plastic or other material, to the top of the sleeper. The outer periphery of the product is formed with a male thread similar to a tapping screw, and the product is embedded by screwing it into a predetermined position on the top surface of the sleeper. A blind hole with an open top is formed in the axial direction in the center of the product, and a female thread is formed on the inner periphery of the blind hole that can be threaded with a bolt that is reverse-threaded relative to the tapping screw on the outer periphery. When using the product, the floor plate is placed in a predetermined position on the top surface of the sleeper, and then a floor plate fixing bolt is screwed into the female thread of the blind hole of the product embedded in the top surface of the sleeper, and the bolt and the product secure the floor plate to the top surface of the sleeper so that it cannot move. Furthermore, when fixing the floorboards to the top surface of the sleepers, four of these articles are prepared and pre-embedded in the sleepers in correspondence with the four corners of the floorboards, and stepped washers are engaged with and interposed between the four corners of the floorboards. Bolts are then inserted into the holes in the washers and screwed into each of the four pre-embedded articles to tighten them, thereby immobilizing the floorboards.
