Abstract
This roller is used to recreate the tile-sprayed head-cut pattern on walls and ceilings after the existing tile-sprayed head-cut pattern has been smoothed out using techniques such as concrete spall repair. (This pattern could previously only be recreated using a compressor, air hose, or spray gun.) After applying the acrylic tile base with a separate roller, the roller is immediately fitted with a handle equipped with a shaft. Paint thinner (to prevent sticking) is applied to the roller's surface, and the roller is rolled with slight pressure to create the tile-sprayed head-cut pattern. The roller features a pudding-shaped outer surface with a textured surface that mirrors the original tile-sprayed head-cut pattern. The inner cylinder is hollow to accommodate a roller handle equipped with a shaft. This allows for beautifully recreating the pattern when working on inside corners of walls and window frames. The uneven patterns shown in each figure were actually created by molding with silicone from a spray-painted board sample that had been finished with a ball-blown head cut pattern.
