Abstract

The design is made of metal except for the plastic funnel. The color is metallic up to the black funnel. It has a handle with a glass lighting connection at the bottom, a plastic funnel, an open instrument insertion hole, and a long metal shaft with a glass window at the end. The shaft contains three hollow tubes within it, a fiber optic tube, and a tube containing the optical system, all surrounded by a thicker outer tube. On the left and right sides are two thinner tubes that run through the handle and turn into the shaft, running parallel to the central tube to the very end of the shaft. The three hollow internal tubes are used for suction, irrigation, and surgical procedures; one tube houses the optical system, and an optical fiber is integrated between the inner tubes.
