Dome-shaped protective helmet for cosplay

Abstract

The transparent dome covering the head was purchased and modified from a product of Hasegawa Seisakusho (Kawagoe City, Saitama Prefecture). The filter for the fan attached to the base of the helmet (mounted in a square recess) is a commercially available air conditioner filter from Square Plus. The battery is a commercially available mobile battery from Maxell. 1. The base body has a "U-shaped recess" as seen in the rear view, into which the battery can be inserted, eliminating the risk of the battery falling out. 2. For the LED installation, a spring-loaded rail made of stainless steel plate is laid inside the sphere, allowing for the storage of 5V LEDs that generate heat. The trapezoidal protrusions at the 10 and 2 o'clock positions as seen in the top view secure the rail. 3. An exhaust vent is installed at the back of the head to prevent the helmet from fogging up. The exhaust vent is integrated with the base body to make it easy to remove the sphere. The exhaust fan is inserted into the two vertical holes shown in the rear view.
