Card case

Abstract

The article relating to the present design (hereinafter referred to as "the Article") is a card case for storing, keeping, and carrying trading cards and the like. The Article consists of a shallow, bottomed, roughly rectangular cylindrical body with an opening that opens upwards, and a shallow, bottomed, roughly rectangular cylindrical lid that opens and closes the opening of the body. The body and the lid are integrally connected via a pair of hinges on one of their respective long sides. The Article is closed around both hinges with the openings of the body and the lid facing each other, and the opening edge of the lid is brought into contact with the surrounding wall, which is erected from the inner end of the opening edge of the body, from the outside. This allows cards to be neatly stored in the storage space of the body without being obstructed by the lid. This article comprises a projection extending outward from the center of the other long side of the main body, and a locking piece extending from the center of the other long side of the lid, having a fitting hole that engages with the projection of the main body. The lid is held closed by engaging the fitting hole of the lid's locking piece with the projection of the main body through rotation around both hinges. Furthermore, the opening edge of the main body of this article protrudes outward in a roughly arc shape on both the left and right sides of the projection, making it easier to hold the lid's locking piece when manipulating it outward to disengage the fitting hole of the locking piece from the projection of the main body, thus enabling smooth opening of the lid from the main body.
