Abstract

The article relating to the present design application (hereinafter referred to as "the Article") is a bottomed, roughly square, cylindrical pen stand capable of storing pens and the like in an upright position. The Article is molded from transparent polystyrene and comprises a roughly square base plate and front, back, left, and right walls that rise from each side of the base plate, with an opening at the top. The front, back, left, and right walls of the Article are slightly inclined so as they approach the opening. Furthermore, the Article is equipped with roughly U-shaped partitions in plan view, which are inserted into three of the walls, leaving a gap for accommodating thin items such as photographs, cards, or acrylic stands (acrylic stands containing photographs in acrylic plates). The partitions of the Article are also molded from transparent synthetic resin such as polystyrene and are set at a height slightly lower than the walls, and like the walls, are slightly inclined so as they approach the opening. The Article can then be used as a unique pen stand by displaying photographs, cards, or thin items such as acrylic stands in the gaps between the walls and the partitions.
