Description

[Technical field]

[0001] The present invention relates to a reel seat and a fishing rod equipped with the same. [Background technology]

[0002] 2. Description of the Related Art Various fishing rods equipped with fishing rod reel seats have been known in the art.

[0003] In such a fishing rod, a fishing rod reel seat and a fishing rod grip are typically placed on the rod body, and the fishing rod reel seat has a reel leg mounting portion formed on the upper or lower side of the main body for mounting the reel legs.

[0004] As an example of such a reel seat for a fishing rod, a reel seat (also called an offset reel seat) in which the position of the reel leg mounting part of the reel seat is offset in a direction downward relative to the axis of the butt rod is known, as disclosed in Patent Document 1. With such an offset reel seat, the reel leg mounting part is shifted downward, so that when a round double-bearing reel is attached, the operating position of the thumb does not become high even if the grip part on the rear side is grasped, and it is disclosed that it is possible to suppress a decrease in operability due to the palm opening.

[0005] Patent Document 2 also discloses a reel support member for a fishing rod type having a grip at the handle end, a reel seat portion set at the front end of the grip for placing and supporting a reel, and a rod holding portion provided at the front end of the reel seat portion for storing and holding the rear end of a rod, wherein the reel seat portion extends forward from a portion adjacent to the front end of the grip and has an upper surface including a portion for supporting the reel, and a bottom surface whose cross-sectional shape is lowest at approximately the center and curves upward toward both side edges of the upper surface, and the reel seat portion has narrow portions at both ends in the front-to-rear direction and a wide portion in the middle between them in a plan view, and is generally shaped like an elongated oval in the front-to-rear direction, and the wide portions are configured to cover approximately the bottom surface of the reel in the width direction. DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

[0023] Hereinafter, embodiments of a reel seat and a fishing rod according to the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings. Components common to multiple drawings are designated by the same reference numerals throughout the multiple drawings. Please note that the drawings are not necessarily drawn to scale for the sake of convenience.

[0024] 1 is a diagram showing one embodiment of a fishing rod according to the present invention. As shown in the figure, a fishing rod 1 according to one embodiment of the present invention comprises a rod body 2, a reel 6 attached to the rod body 2 via a reel seat 9, and a fishing line guide 10 attached to the rod body 2. In the illustrated embodiment, each of the reel seat 9 and the fishing line guide 10 corresponds to an attachment part attached to the outer circumferential surface of the rod body.

[0025] The rod body 2 is formed by connecting, for example, a butt rod 3, a middle rod 5, and a tip rod 7. These rod bodies are joined, for example, in a parallel joint. The butt rod 3, middle rod 5, and tip rod 7 can be joined by a telescoping type, a reverse parallel joint type, a spigot joint type, or any other known joint type. The rod body 2 may be formed from a single rod body.

[0026] The base rod 3, the middle rod 5, and the tip rod 7 are each formed of, for example, a tubular body made of fiber-reinforced resin. This tubular body made of fiber-reinforced resin is produced by winding a fiber-reinforced resin prepreg (prepreg sheet) in which reinforcing fibers are impregnated with a matrix resin around a core bar, and heating and curing the prepreg sheet. As the reinforcing fibers contained in the prepreg sheet, for example, carbon fiber, glass fiber, and any other known reinforcing fibers can be used. As the matrix resin contained in the prepreg sheet, a thermosetting resin such as an epoxy resin can be used. After the prepreg sheet is cured, the core bar is de-cored. In addition, the outer surface of the tubular body is appropriately polished. Each rod body may be formed in a solid shape.

[0027] In the illustrated embodiment, the butt rod 3, middle rod 5 and tip rod 7 are provided with a number of line guides 10 (line guides 10A-10D) that guide the fishing line that is let out from the reel 6 attached to the reel seat 9. More specifically, the butt rod 3 is provided with line guide 10A, the middle rod 5 is provided with line guide 10B, and the tip rod 7 is provided with line guide 10C. A top guide 10D is provided at the tip of the tip rod 7, but details will be omitted.

[0028] Next, the basic configuration of the reel seat body 12 and the reel seat 9 will be described with reference to Figs. 2 and 3. Fig. 2(a) shows a cross-sectional view of a reel seat according to one embodiment of the present invention (a cross-sectional view in the vertical direction of the paper of Fig. 2(a) passing through the central axis of the reel seat), and Fig. 2(b) shows a front view of a reel seat according to one embodiment of the present invention. In the following description, the axial direction (front-rear direction) and the vertical direction mean the directions shown in Fig. 2(a), and the left-right direction (side direction) means the direction perpendicular to the paper of Fig. 2(a). That is, the front means the tip side of the fishing rod, the rear means the base end side, the upper side means the reel side with respect to the axis X of the butt rod (rod) when a double-bearing reel is attached, and the lower side means the opposite side. The axis X also corresponds to the axis of the reel seat 9, the reel seat body 12, the reel leg mounting part 12a, and the cylindrical part 4, and these directions can be called any of these axial directions. Figure 3(a) shows the structure of a reel seat body of a reel seat according to one embodiment of the present invention, Figure 3(b) shows the structure of a spacer member of a reel seat according to one embodiment of the present invention, Figure 3(c) shows the structure of a nut member of a reel seat according to one embodiment of the present invention, and Figure 4(d) shows the structure of a grip portion of a reel seat according to one embodiment of the present invention.

[0029] The reel seat body 12 has a reel leg mounting surface 12a on which the reel leg 6a of the fishing reel 6 is mounted along its axial direction. The reel seat body 12 can be configured to have a length ranging from 150 mm to 200 mm, for example, but is not limited to this. The reel seat body 12 is slightly bulged on the opposite side of the reel leg mounting surface 12a to form a bulged portion (trigger) 12b having a curved outer surface that is easy to grip by supporting the ball of the foot or the vicinity thereof when gripped with a gripping hand. The reel seat body 12 may be configured so that a fishing rod body is joined to the front side of the reel seat body 12.

[0030] The reel leg mounting surface 12a of the reel seat body 12 can be formed flat or substantially flat with a larger curvature than other circumferential portions (e.g., trigger 12b) adjacent to the reel leg mounting surface 12a of the reel seat body 12, and is formed to extend in the axial direction of the reel seat body 12 shown in Fig. 2. A fixed hood 14 is integrally disposed at one end (rod tip side) of the reel seat body 12. One end of the reel leg mounting surface 12a of the reel seat body 12 is disposed inside the fixed hood 14.

[0031] Although details will be described later, a movable hood 13 is attached to the other end (rod base side) of the reel seat body 12 so as to be movable in the axial direction. The fishing reel 6 is attached and fixed to the reel seat 9 by placing the reel leg 6a on the reel leg mounting portion 12a, and with the tip side of the reel leg 6a fitted into the fixed hood 14, and then fastening the rear end side with the movable hood 13 which moves in the axial direction. The reel seat 9 includes the reel seat body 12 and the movable hood 13, but may include other members.

[0032] 2 and 3 again, the reel seat 9 according to one embodiment of the present invention will be described in more detail. As shown in the figures, the reel seat 9 according to one embodiment of the present invention is a reel seat 9 attached to a rod body (rod butt side rod body) 2a, the reel seat body 12 including a reel leg mounting portion 12a on which a reel leg 6a is mounted, a fixed hood 14 provided on the axial front side (rod tip side) of the reel leg mounting portion 12a, a cylindrical portion 4 provided on the axial rear side (rod butt side) of the reel leg mounting portion 12a, a movable hood 13 provided on the axial rear side (rod butt side) of the reel leg mounting portion 12a, and a cylindrical nut member 18 provided inside the cylindrical portion 4 and capable of moving the movable hood 13 by rotation. The movable hood 13 is a reel seat 9 attached to a rod body (rod butt side rod body) 2a, the reel seat body 12 including an engagement portion 16 provided on the inner side of the cylindrical portion 4 and a cylindrical nut member 18 provided on the inner side of the cylindrical portion 4 and a cylindrical nut member 18 provided on the inner side of the cylindrical portion 4 and capable of moving the movable hood 13 by rotation. 6a, and the nut member 18 includes an operating portion 18a that protrudes axially outward from the axial rear side (rod butt side) end of the cylindrical portion and operates the radial outer surface of the cylindrical nut member 18 to rotate the cylindrical nut member 18, an engaged portion 18b that is provided rotatably relative to the cylindrical portion 4 and engages with the engaging portion 16 on the inner surface (example of Figs. 2 and 3) or outer surface (example of Fig. 9 to be described later) of the cylindrical nut member 18 viewed in the radial direction, and a connecting portion 18c that connects the operating portion 18a and the engaged portion 18b, and the rotation of the nut member 18 by operating the operating portion 18a makes the movable hood 13 movable axially forward (rod tip side). Here, in the reel seat 9 according to one embodiment of the present invention, the rod body 2 is attached by being inserted into a part (example shown in Figs. 2 and 3) or the whole (example shown in Fig. 9 to be described later) of the reel seat 9. A protrusion can be provided at the end of the rod body (rod body at the butt side) 2a. In this way, a structure for preventing rotation can be adopted by the shape of the end surface at the base side of the rod body 2. Also, a spacer may be used instead of the rod body (rod body at the butt side) 2a. In that case, for example, the rod body may be connected to the spacer by parallel jointing, or the rod body may be connected to the spacer by a spigot joint.

[0033] According to the reel seat of one embodiment of the present invention, even if a structure is adopted in which the position of the reel leg mounting part of the reel seat is offset in a direction downward relative to the axis of the butt rod, it is possible to provide a reel seat that can stably maintain the fixed state of the reel to the reel seat by preventing the hands and fingers from touching the operating member for fixing the reel leg to the reel seat when the reel is gripped or during casting. More specifically, by interposing the connecting part 18c to provide a distance between the engaged part 18b of the nut member 18 and the operating part 18a, and providing the operating part 18a on the butt side of the grip part (grip member) 23 described later, the reel leg mounting part 12a and the operating part 18a can be formed sufficiently apart, so that the hands and fingers do not touch the operating member for fixing the reel leg to the reel seat when the reel is gripped or during casting, or the possibility of this being touched is significantly reduced, and it is possible to maintain the fixed state of the reel 6 to the reel seat 9 for a long time.

[0034] Next, a reel seat according to one embodiment of the present invention will be further described with reference to Figures 2 and 3. The reel seat body 12 of the reel seat 9 has a front tubular portion 15 at the front and the previously described tubular portion (rear tubular portion) 4 at the rear, and a grip portion (rear grip) 23 that can be grasped and held is fixed to the outer surface of the tubular portion 4. The reel seat body 12 has an intermediate connecting portion 24 that connects the front tubular portion 15 and the tubular portion (rear tubular portion) 4 along the axial direction, and these are integrally formed. The base end side outer circumferential surface of the rod body 2 constituting the fishing rod is fixed to the inner surface of the front cylindrical part 15 by adhesion or the like, and the base end side outer circumferential surface of the butt side rod body 2a constituting the fishing rod is fixed to the inner surface of the inner protruding part 4a formed inside the cylindrical part 4 and protruding along the axial direction on the rear side of the reel seat main body 12 by adhesion or the like, and the grip part 23 is fixed to the outer circumferential surface of the cylindrical part 4 and is configured to be flush with the surface of the cylindrical end part 4b. In this case, the cylindrical end part 4b is also a part that is grasped and held together with the grip part 23, and can form a grip. Note that the fishing rod 1 to which the reel seat 9 is fixed is not limited in its configuration to a telescopic type, a joint type, a single rod, etc., and in FIG. 2, a part of the fishing rod (a part of the rod body) is shown, and the entire configuration is omitted. In addition, an example is shown in which the reel seat 9 is attached and fixed to a low-profile type double-bearing reel (hereinafter also referred to as a reel) as a fishing reel 6.

[0035] The movable hood 13 includes an engagement portion 16 having a male thread formed thereon, and a hood portion 17 curved radially inward to accommodate at least a portion of the reel leg 6a. The hood portion 17 is disposed so as to enter an opening 8 formed below the rear end face (near the cylindrical end portion 4b) of the intermediate connecting portion 24, and this opening 8 is connected to the reel leg mounting portion 12a. In other words, when the movable hood 13 moves forward, the hood portion 17 fits into the rear end portion of the reel leg 6a mounted on the reel leg mounting portion 12a within the opening 8.

[0036] The male screw of the engaging portion 16 of the moving hood 13 is screwed into the female screw formed on the engaged portion 18b formed on the inner surface of the nut member 18 provided inside the cylindrical portion 4. That is, by rotating the operating portion 18b of the nut member 18 in one direction, the moving hood 13 moves axially forward and tightens the rear end side of the reel leg 6a (reel attachment, fixed state), and by rotating the nut member 18 in the other direction, the moving hood 13 moves axially rearward and releases the rear end side of the reel leg 6a (reel removal state). Here, the method of engaging the engaging portion 16 with the engaged portion 18b can be various conventionally known methods, and is not limited to a specific mode (screwed engagement). Note that a stopper member 20 can be provided on the rear end side of the operating portion 18a to prevent the operating portion 18a from slipping out rearward.

[0037] A grip portion (front grip) may be fixed to the outer surface of the front tubular portion 15, but the example shown in Fig. 2 shows a state in which there is no grip portion. In addition, a butt-side grip portion (butt-side grip member) 26 is formed at the butt-side end of the butt-side rod body 2a.

[0038] In the reel seat 9 according to one embodiment of the present invention, the engaging portion 16 and the engaged portion 18b of the nut member 18 are adapted to be screwed together.

[0039] In the reel seat 9 according to one embodiment of the present invention, the butt side rod body 2a is configured to be inserted or insertable into the interior of the cylindrical portion by a length in the range of 70 mm to 100 mm, as viewed in the axial direction X of the cylindrical portion.

[0040] In a reel seat 9 according to one embodiment of the present invention, the rear end of the grip portion 23, as viewed in the axial direction of the reel seat 9, is located between the rear end of the tubular portion 4 and the operating portion 18a of the nut member 18, as viewed in the same axial direction.

[0041] In the reel seat 9 according to one embodiment of the present invention, the butt-side rod body 2a can be inserted into the cylindrical portion 4 from its axial rear side.

[0042] In the reel seat 9 according to one embodiment of the present invention, a spacer member 27 is provided between the inner surface of the nut member 18 and the outer surface of the butt-side rod body 2a.

[0043] In the reel seat 9 according to one embodiment of the present invention, the stopper member 20 is provided at the rear end of the operating portion 18a of the nut member 18, as described above.

[0044] In the reel seat 9 of one embodiment of the present invention, when the butt-side rod body 2a is inserted, the rod body 2a, the engaged portion 18b, and the tubular portion 4 are arranged in that order from the inside when viewed downward from the central axis of the tubular portion 4 in a cross-section perpendicular to the axial direction of the reel leg mounting portion 12a.

[0045] In one embodiment of the present invention, the reel seat 9 has an engaging portion 16, an engaged portion 18b, and a tubular portion 4, which are arranged in that order from the inside when viewed downward from the central axis of the tubular portion 4 in a cross section perpendicular to the axial direction of the reel leg mounting portion 12a.

[0046] Next, with reference to Fig. 4, the cross-sectional structure of the reel seat 9 according to one embodiment of the present invention will be described. Fig. 4 shows the AA cross section of Fig. 2. As shown in the figure, in the reel seat 9 according to one embodiment of the present invention, when the butt-side rod body 2a is inserted (and the moving hood 13 is in the position of Fig. 2), the cross section perpendicular to the axial direction of the cylindrical end 4b is viewed in a direction from the center axis of the cylindrical end 4b downward (downward in the vertical direction of the paper of Fig. 4), and the cross section perpendicular to the axial direction of the cylindrical end 4b is viewed in a direction from the center axis of the cylindrical end 4b upward (upward in the vertical direction of the paper of Fig. 4), the intermediate connection part 19, the start part of the inner protruding part 4a, the engaged part 18b, and the cylindrical end 4b are provided in this order. As shown in the figure, the cylindrical end 4b of the reel seat body 12 has a circular or nearly circular outer surface, and defines a space inside capable of accommodating the curved engagement portion 16. The internal shape of the cylindrical end 4b may vary depending on the shape of the engagement portion 16, and is not limited to a specific embodiment.

[0047] Next, with reference to Fig. 5, the cross-sectional structure of the reel seat 9 according to one embodiment of the present invention will be described. Fig. 5 shows the BB cross section of Fig. 2. As shown in the figure, in the reel seat 9 according to one embodiment of the present invention, when the butt-side rod body 2a is inserted (and the moving hood 13 is in the position of Fig. 2), the engaging portion 16, the engaged portion 18b, the cylindrical portion 4, and the grip portion 23 are provided in this order from the inside when the cross section perpendicular to the axial direction of the cylindrical portion 4 is viewed in a direction from the central axis of the cylindrical portion 4 toward the downward direction (the downward direction in the vertical direction of the paper of Fig. 5), and when the cross section perpendicular to the axial direction of the cylindrical portion 4 is viewed in a direction from the central axis of the cylindrical portion 4 toward the upward direction (the upward direction in the vertical direction of the paper of Fig. 5), the starting portion of the inner protruding portion 4a, the engaged portion 18b, the cylindrical portion 4, and the grip portion are provided in this order. As shown in the figure, the cylindrical portion 4 of the reel seat body 12 also has a circular or nearly circular outer surface, and together with the cylindrical end portion 4b, forms a space capable of accommodating the engaging portion 16 formed by curving inward. The internal shape of the cylindrical portion 4 may vary depending on the shapes of the components such as the engaging portion 16, and is not limited to a specific embodiment.

[0048] Next, the cross-sectional structure of the reel seat 9 according to one embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to Fig. 6. Fig. 6 shows the CC cross section of Fig. 2. As shown in the figure, in the reel seat 9 according to one embodiment of the present invention, when the butt-side rod body 2a is inserted (and the moving hood 13 is in the position of Fig. 2), the butt-side rod body 2a, the engaged part 18b, the tubular part 4, and the grip part 23 are provided in this order from the inside when the cross section perpendicular to the axial direction of the tubular part 4 is viewed in a direction from the central axis of the tubular part 4 toward the downward direction (the downward direction in the vertical direction of the paper of Fig. 6), and the butt-side rod body 2a, the inner protruding part 4a, the engaged part 18b, the tubular part 4, and the grip part 23 are provided in this order when the cross section perpendicular to the axial direction of the tubular part 4 is viewed in a direction from the central axis of the tubular part 4 toward the upward direction (the upward direction in the vertical direction of the paper of Fig. 6). As shown in the figure, the tubular part 4 of the reel seat body 12 also has a circular or nearly circular outer surface, forming a space capable of accommodating the butt-side rod body 2a. The internal shape of the tubular part 4 is formed cylindrically, and may vary depending on the shapes of the components such as the butt-side rod body 2a, the nut member 18, the spacer member 27, etc., and is not limited to a specific form.

[0049] Next, the cross-sectional structure of the reel seat 9 according to one embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to Fig. 7. Fig. 7 shows the DD cross section of Fig. 2. As shown in the figure, in the reel seat 9 according to one embodiment of the present invention, when the butt-side rod body 2a is inserted (and the moving hood 13 is in the position of Fig. 2), the butt-side rod body 2a, the spacer member 27, the connection part 18c of the nut member 18, the tubular part 4, and the grip part 23 are provided in this order from the inside when the cross section perpendicular to the axial direction of the tubular part 4 is viewed in a direction from the central axis of the tubular part 4 toward the downward direction (the downward direction in the vertical direction of the paper of Fig. 7), and when the cross section perpendicular to the axial direction of the tubular part 4 is viewed in a direction from the central axis of the tubular part 4 toward the upward direction (the upward direction in the vertical direction of the paper of Fig. 7), the butt-side rod body 2a, the inner protruding part 4a, the spacer member 27, the connection part 18c of the nut member 18, the tubular part 4, and the grip part 23 are provided in this order.

[0050] Next, referring to FIG. 8, the structure of the movable hood 13 in the reel seat 9 according to one embodiment of the present invention will be described. Both of FIG. 8(a) and (b) are perspective views (the former is seen from diagonally above, and the latter is seen from diagonally below). As shown in the figures, the movable hood 13 includes an engagement portion 16 and a hood portion 17, and the engagement portion 16 is formed in an arc shape or curved shape when viewed in a cross section perpendicular to the axial direction of the cylindrical portion 15 (cross section shown in FIG. 4). In this way, it becomes possible for the male thread portion of the engagement portion 16 provided on the outer surface to be screwed into the female thread portion formed on the engaged portion 18b on the inner surface of the nut member 18. Moreover, the angle of the arc of the engagement portion 16 of the movable hood 13 formed in an arc shape is in the range of 70 degrees to 140 degrees.

[0051] 6, in the movable hood 13 of the reel seat 9 according to one embodiment of the present invention, the engaging portion 16 and the hood portion 17 are offset in the radial direction of the central axis of the reel seat 9 (the hood portion 17 is formed inward of the engaging portion 16 in the radial direction of the central axis of the reel seat 9). When the engaging portion 16 and the hood portion 17 are offset, an intermediate connecting portion 19 is provided between the engaging portion 16 and the hood portion 17, which extends perpendicularly to the central axis of the reel seat 9 and connects the engaging portion 16 and the hood portion 17. In this way, by adjusting the length of the intermediate connecting portion 19, the butt-side rod body 2a can be inserted deeper into the tubular portion 4.

[0052] Next, the basic configuration of the reel seat main body 12 and the reel seat 9 in another embodiment will be described with reference to FIG. 9. FIG. 9(a) shows a cross-sectional view of a reel seat according to another embodiment of the present invention (a cross-sectional view in the vertical direction of the paper of FIG. 9(a) passing through the central axis of the reel seat), and FIG. 9(b) shows a front view of a reel seat according to another embodiment of the present invention. FIG. 9(c) shows an EE cross-section of FIG. 9(a). In the following description, the axial direction (front-rear direction) and the vertical direction refer to the directions shown in FIG. 9(a), and the left-right direction (side direction) refers to the direction perpendicular to the paper of FIG. 9(a). In other words, the front refers to the tip side of the fishing rod, the rear refers to the base end side, the upper side refers to the reel side with respect to the axis X of the butt rod (rod) when a double-bearing reel is attached, and the lower side refers to the opposite side. The axis X also corresponds to the axes of the reel seat 9, the reel seat main body 12, the reel leg mounting portion 12a, and the cylindrical portion 4, and these directions can be referred to as any one of these axial directions.

[0053] The reel seat body 12 has a reel leg mounting surface 12a on which the reel leg 6a of the fishing reel 6 is mounted along its axial direction.

[0054] The reel leg mounting surface 12a of the reel seat body 12 can be formed flat or substantially flat with a larger curvature than other circumferential portions (e.g., trigger 12b) adjacent to the reel leg mounting surface 12a of the reel seat body 12, and is formed to extend in the axial direction of the reel seat body 12 shown in Fig. 2. A fixed hood 14 is integrally disposed at one end (rod tip side) of the reel seat body 12. One end of the reel leg mounting surface 12a of the reel seat body 12 is disposed inside the fixed hood 14.

[0055] The reel seat body 12 of the reel seat 9 has a front tubular portion 15 at the front and the above-mentioned tubular portion (rear tubular portion) 4 at the rear, and a grip portion (rear grip) 23 to be held and held is fixed to the outer surface of the tubular portion 4. The reel seat body 12 has an intermediate connecting portion 24 that connects the front tubular portion 15 and the tubular portion (rear tubular portion) 4 along the axial direction, and they are integrally formed. The base end of the rod body 2 constituting the fishing rod is fixed to the inner surface of the front tubular portion 15 by adhesion or the like, and the base end of the butt side rod body 2a constituting the fishing rod is fixed to the inner surface of the inner protruding portion 4a formed inside the tubular portion 4 and protruding along the axial direction on the rear side of the reel seat body 12 by adhesion or the like, and the grip portion 23 is fixed to the outer circumferential surface of the tubular portion 4 and is configured to be flush with the surface of the tubular end portion 4b.

[0056] A movable hood 13 is attached to the other end (rod base side) of the reel seat body 12 so as to be movable in the axial direction. The fishing reel 6 is attached and fixed to the reel seat 9 by placing the reel leg 6a on the reel leg placement portion 12a, and with the tip side of the reel leg 6a fitted into the fixed hood 14, and then fastening the rear end side with the movable hood 13 which moves in the axial direction. The reel seat 9 includes the reel seat body 12 and the movable hood 13, but may include other members.

[0057] The movable hood 13 includes an engagement portion 16 having a male thread formed thereon, and a hood portion 17 curved radially inward to accommodate at least a portion of the reel leg 6a.

[0058] The male screw of the engaging portion 16 of the moving hood 13 is screwed into the female screw formed on the engaged portion 18b formed on the inner surface of the nut member 18 provided inside the cylindrical portion 4.

[0059] The rod body 2 is provided on the inner surface of the nut member 18, and the pipe member 28 is provided on the outer surface of the nut member 18. The grip portion (rear grip) 23 is attached to the outer surface of this pipe member 28. In this case, the grip portion (rear grip) 23 may be attached by screwing it onto the outer surface of the pipe member 28, or may be attached with an adhesive. The configuration of the movable hood 13 and the nut member 18 is as described with reference to Figures 2 to 8, and is basically the same in this embodiment. Therefore, further details will be omitted.

[0060] Next, with reference to FIG. 9(c), the cross-sectional structure of the reel seat 9 according to one embodiment of the present invention will be described. FIG. 9(c) shows the EE cross section of FIG. 9(a). As shown in the figure, in the reel seat 9 according to one embodiment of the present invention, when the butt-side rod body 2a is inserted (and the moving hood 13 is in the position of FIG. 9(b)), the rod body 2, the engaged part 18b, the engaging part 16, and the cylindrical end 4b are provided in this order from the inside when the cross section perpendicular to the axial direction of the cylindrical end 4b is viewed in a direction from the central axis of the cylindrical end 4b toward the downward direction (the downward direction in the vertical direction of the paper of FIG. 9(c)), and the rod body 2, the engaged part 18b, and the cylindrical end 4b are provided in this order when the cross section perpendicular to the axial direction of the cylindrical end 4b is viewed in a direction from the central axis of the cylindrical end 4b toward the upward direction (the upward direction in the vertical direction of the paper of FIG. 9(c)). The internal shape of the cylindrical end 4b can be variously considered depending on the shape of the engaging part 16, and is not limited to a specific embodiment.

[0061] A fishing rod 1 according to one embodiment of the present invention is configured to include any of the reel seats 9 described above and a rod body (rod body 2 and butt side rod body 2). A butt side grip part 26 may be formed at the butt side end of the butt side rod body 2a, and in that case, the rod body can be configured to include the butt side grip part 26.

[0062] According to the fishing rod of the embodiment of the present invention, even if a structure is adopted in which the position of the reel leg mounting part of the reel seat is offset in a direction downward relative to the axis of the butt rod, it is possible to provide a fishing rod equipped with a reel seat that can stably maintain the fixed state of the reel to the reel seat by preventing the hands and fingers from touching the operating member for fixing the reel leg to the reel seat when the reel is gripped or during casting. More specifically, by interposing the connecting part 18c to provide a distance between the engaged part 18b of the nut member 18 and the operating part 18a, and by providing the operating part 18a on the butt side of the rod than the grip part 23 described later, the reel leg mounting part 12a and the operating part 18a can be formed sufficiently apart, so that the hands and fingers do not touch the operating member for fixing the reel leg to the reel seat when the reel is gripped or during casting, or the possibility of this being touched is greatly reduced, and it is possible to maintain the fixed state of the reel 6 to the reel seat 9 for a long time.

[0063] Here, in the reel seat 9 according to one embodiment of the present invention, the reel seat body 12 can be made of carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP), glass reinforced plastic (GFRP), Al or Mg. The reel seat 12 may be made of GFRTP (continuous fiber), GFRTP (discontinuous fiber), CFRTP (continuous fiber), CFRTP (discontinuous fiber) or a hybrid material. By making the reel seat 12 from such a material, it is possible to suppress an increase in weight while ensuring sufficient rigidity and strength.

[0064] The dimensions, materials, and arrangement of each component described in this specification are not limited to those explicitly described in the embodiments, and each component can be modified to have any dimensions, materials, and arrangement that can be included in the scope of the present invention. In addition, components not explicitly described in this specification can be added to the described embodiments, and some of the components described in each embodiment can be omitted.
