In other words, the pedal device 50 includes the connecting rod 51 as a connecting member that connects to the leg 20 (leg 21) that supports the electronic keyboard instrument 10 to which the pedal device 50 is attached. Note that the connection between the leg 20 and the connecting rod 51 may be indirectly connected via another member such as the central support member 22 as in this embodiment, or may be set so as to be directly connected.
[0012] The pedal device 50 is provided with a pedal case 53 that covers the substrate 161, the sensor unit 160, the bearing portion 153, etc. (described later). The pedal case 53 is provided in a substantially rectangular box shape that is long in the left-right direction and has front and rear surfaces, a top surface, and left and right side surfaces, and is open on the bottom side. The pedal case 53 is provided with three openings 53a.
[0013] The pedal device 50 provided on the electronic keyboard instrument 10 is provided with three pedals 52 (a right pedal 52a, a left pedal 52b, and a center pedal 52c) arranged on the left, right, and center. Each pedal 52 is provided rotatably and protrudes forward (outward) through a corresponding opening 53a in the pedal case 53. A pedal leg 200 is provided below each pedal 52.
[0014] As shown in FIG. 3 (also see FIGS. 4 and 5), the pedal leg portion 200 includes a pedal corresponding portion 102 and an installation member 201. Here, a lower base member 100 is provided below the pedal device 50. The lower base member 100 includes a lower base member main body portion 101 that is a flat plate that is long in the left-right direction. Each pedal corresponding portion 102 is provided to extend forward from the lower base member main body portion 101 in correspondence with each pedal 52. In other words, the pedal leg portion 200 protrudes outward from the pedal case 53 on the side from which each pedal 52 protrudes.
[0015] The installation member 201 of the pedal leg 200 is a member that is installed on or adjacent to a mounting surface and is provided facing the mounting surface. The pedal corresponding parts 102 corresponding to the right pedal 52a and the left pedal 52b are provided with an adjustment member 103 that is an adjustable installation member 201. The adjustment member 103 is provided so as to be adjustable by being movable in the vertical direction by a screw structure so as to abut against the mounting surface. FIG. 6 shows a state in which the adjustment member 103 corresponding to the right pedal 52a has been moved downward. On the other hand, the pedal corresponding part 102 corresponding to the middle pedal 52c is provided with a pad 104 as the installation member 201 fixed to the pedal corresponding part 102. In this way, the installation member 201 includes the adjustment member 103, and the adjustment member 103 is provided corresponding to the outer pedals 52 (right pedal 52a and left pedal 52b) of the three pedals 52.
[0016] 3, each pedal leg 200 (the pedal corresponding part 102 located on the outer side of the pedal case 53 and the installation member 201 (adjustment member 103, pad 104)) is disposed within a projection area S (the shaded area shown in FIG. 3) of the exposed portion of each pedal 52. Here, the exposed portion of the pedal 52 refers to a portion of the pedal 52 that protrudes outward from the opening 53a of the pedal case 53 (a portion of the pedal 52 with a dimension S1 from the outer surface of the pedal case 53 to the tip of the pedal 52 shown in FIG. 7).
[0017] As shown in Fig. 4, a cushion member 105 is provided on the pedal corresponding portion 102 of each pedal leg portion 200, facing the lower surface of each pedal 52. The cushion member 105 may be made of, for example, a felt material. The cushion member 105 is a lower limit regulating member that regulates the lower limit of the pedal 52. That is, the cushion member 105 abuts against the lower surface of the pedal 52 to regulate the lower limit position of the pedal 52. The cushion member 105 is disposed on the axis (for example, on the axis CL1 shown in Fig. 7) of the installation member 201 (adjustment member 103, pad 104).
[0018] 4 and 5, an upper sheet metal member 120 is provided on the upper surface of the lower base member main body 101 of the lower base member 100. As shown in Fig. 7, the upper sheet metal member 120 has a lower plate portion 121 arranged in a flat plate shape on the lower base member main body 101, a flat upper plate portion 123, and a connecting plate 122 that connects the lower plate portion 121 and the upper plate portion 123 so as to stand vertically.
[0019] As shown in FIG. 4, the pedal device 50 is provided with a front sheet metal member 130, the upper and lower ends of which are bent backward so as to stand upright from the upper surface of the lower plate portion 121 of the upper sheet metal member 120. The lower plate portion of the front sheet metal member 130 is fastened together with the lower plate portion 121, the lower base member main body portion 101, and the lower plate of the lower sheet metal member 110 described below by screw members 118c (see FIG. 3). The upper plate portion of the front sheet metal member 130 is fixed to the lower surface of the upper plate portion of the pedal case 53 (see FIG. 7). The front sheet metal member 130 is provided with openings 131 that open corresponding to each pedal 52 and have a shape that is open on the lower side. A rib 132 is provided on the periphery of each opening 131. Note that FIG. 4 shows only the opening 131 (rib 132) corresponding to the right pedal 52a.
[0020] As shown in Figs. 4 and 5, a restricting member 140 is fixed to the upper surface of the base end side of each pedal 52 by a screw member (not shown). The restricting member 140 has a first restricting portion 141 and a second restricting portion 142. The first restricting portion 141 is provided with an inclined surface that inclines toward the base end side of the pedal 52 so as to cover the upper surface of the pedal 52. The second restricting portion 142 is connected to the first restricting portion 141 at an upper portion and is provided with an inclined surface that inclines toward the base end side. The restricting member 140 restricts the entry of a finger or the like into a gap between each pedal 52 and each opening 53a.
[0021] 5, a cushion member 143 is provided on the upper surface of the regulating member 140 behind the inclined surface of the second regulating portion 142. The cushion member 143 may be made of, for example, felt. The cushion member 143 abuts against an upper portion of the opening 131 (rib 132) of the front sheet metal member 130 to regulate the upper limit position of the pedal 52. The regulating member 140 is also provided with an arm portion 144 that protrudes toward the sensor unit 160 (described later) and engages with a cam member 164 of the sensor unit 160.
[0022] An upper base member 150 is provided above the lower base member 100 via an upper sheet metal member 120. The upper base member 150 is provided with spring holding portions 151 provided above the base ends of the pedal corresponding portions 102 of the lower base member 100. The spring holding portions 151 are provided in a cylindrical shape, and the coil springs 54 are disposed therein. As shown in FIG. 7, a lower spring support shaft 151a is provided on the bottom surface of the spring holding portion 151, and supports the lower end of the coil springs 54. The upper end of the coil springs 54 is supported by an upper spring support shaft 154a of a spring receiving member 154 provided on the lower surface of the pedal 52. The pedal 52 is urged upward by the coil springs 54.
[0023] As shown in Figs. 4 and 5, the base end of each spring holding portion 151 of the upper base member 150 is connected to the upper base member main body 152. The upper base member main body 152 is provided in the shape of a plate that is long in the left-right direction. On the upper surface of the upper base member main body 152, a bearing portion 153 is provided for rotatably supporting a rotation shaft 55 (also called a rotation shaft) provided at the base end of each pedal 52. In addition, the upper surface of the upper base member main body 152 is formed as a recess 152a that is long in the left-right direction. A substrate 161 is provided in the recess 152a. A sensor unit 160 is provided on the upper surface of the substrate 161. The sensor unit 160 can detect the amount of depression of the pedal 52 by abutting a cam member 164 against the arm portion 144 of the regulating member 140.
[0024] As shown in Figs. 3 to 5, a lower sheet metal member 110 having a substantially L-shaped cross section (see Fig. 7) is provided on the lower surface of the lower base member main body 101 of the lower base member 100. As shown in Figs. 4 and 5, the lower sheet metal member 110 has fixing parts 111 that stand upright in a substantially L-shaped shape when viewed from above at both left and right ends. Each fixing part 111 is fixed at the front side of the end of each of the left and right connecting rods 51 by a screw member 118a. As shown in Figs. 3 and 6, the lower surface of the lower sheet metal member 110 and each connecting rod 51 are fixed by a screw member 118b. And, as shown in Fig. 6, the lower end of each connecting rod 51 is disposed close to the left and right side surfaces of the upper base member 150 so as to abut against them. In this way, the connecting rod 51, which is a connecting member, is fixed to the base member of the pedal device 50 including the lower sheet metal member 110.
[0025] Here, the base member of the pedal device 50 includes a lower base member 100 and a lower sheet metal member 110 which are integrally joined by screw members 118c, and an upper base member 150 which is fixed to the lower base member 100.
[0026] 3 and 6, pads 113 that act as cushions when the pads come into contact with the installation surface are provided at two locations, left and right, on the lower surface of the lower sheet metal member 110. Note that screw member 108a provided on lower base member main body 101 shown in Fig. 3 is a part of a screw member that fixes lower base member main body 101 and pedal case 53 via lower plate portion 121 of upper sheet metal member 120. Screw member 108b provided corresponding to pedal corresponding portion 102 is a screw member that connects and fixes lower base member 100 and upper base member 150 together.
[0027] Here, as shown in FIG. 7, the pedal device 50 is used with the adjustment member 103 in contact with the installation surface FL. Therefore, the force F1 when the pedal 52 (the right pedal 52a in FIG. 7) is depressed is received by the installation surface FL via the cushion member 105 and the adjustment member 103 that are in contact with the lower surface of the pedal 52. Also, the distance L1a from the axis CL1 of the adjustment member 103 to the tip of the pedal 52 is smaller than the distance L2 from the axis CL1 of the adjustment member 103 to the axis CL2 of the connecting rod 51 (L1a < L2). That is, since the distance L1 from the position where the pedal 52 is depressed (the position where the force F1 is applied) to the axis CL1 of the adjustment member 103 is set smaller than the distance L1a (L1 < L1a), the distance L1 is smaller than the distance L2 (L1 < L2). Further, since the adjustment member 103 is installed on the installation surface FL on the connecting rod 51, a part of the load (force F2) of the electronic keyboard instrument 10 is applied thereto.
[0028] In the pedal device 50, by setting the distance L1 to be sufficiently shorter than the distance L2, the relationship of equation (1) is set for the moment around the axis CL1 of the adjustment member 103. Distance L1 × Force F1 < Distance L2 × Force F2 ··· (1) Regarding the pedal 52, based on the lever principle, with the position of the force F1 as the effort point, the axis CL1 of the adjustment member 103 as the fulcrum, and the rotation axis 55 as the point of application (the force applied to the rotation axis 55 is F3), equation (2) holds. Distance L1 × Force F1 = Distance L3 × Force F3 ··· (2) From equations (1) and (2), Distance L3 × Force F3 < Distance L2 × Force F2 ··· (3) It becomes as follows.
[0029] That is, the pedal device 50 is configured so that even when the pedal 52 is depressed, the upward force F3 acting on the rotation shaft 55 of the pedal 52 raises the rear of the electronic keyboard instrument 10 via the connecting rod 51, so that the rear leg 21 does not move away from the installation surface FL. Note that the above description has been given for the right pedal 52a, but the same is true for the left pedal 52b and the middle pedal 52c. In particular, when the pad 104, which is the installation member 201 corresponding to the middle pedal 52c, is in contact with the installation surface FL, naturally, and even if it is not in contact, as long as the left and right adjustment members 103 are in contact with the installation surface FL, the lifting of the rear leg 21 when the middle pedal 52c is depressed is reduced in the same manner as described above.
[0030] Further, the axis CL2 of the connecting rod 51 is located in the front-rear direction between the axis CL3 of the coil spring 54 serving as a biasing member that biases the pedal 52 upward and the axis CL4 of the rotating shaft 55. Therefore, the distance in the front-rear direction between the downward force (load) F2 and the upward force F3 and the biasing force of the coil spring 54 is set small.
[0031] As described above, in the embodiment of the present invention, the pedal device 50 comprises a pedal case 53 having an opening 53a, a base member (lower base member 100, upper base member 150, etc.) on which the pedal case 53 is mounted, a pedal 52 that protrudes outwardly from the pedal case 53 through the opening 53a and is rotatably mounted by a rotating shaft 55 as a rotating shaft supported by a bearing portion 153 provided in the upper base member 150 of the base member, and a pedal leg portion 200 that is provided on the lower base member 100 of the base member and includes an installation member 201 that is capable of abutting against the installation surface FL, and protrudes outwardly from the pedal case 53 on the side from which the pedal 52 protrudes.
[0032] As a result, the installation member 201 is disposed near the position where the pedal 52 is depressed (the position indicated by F1 in FIG. 7), which reduces the rear side of the leg 21 from being lifted up due to depression of the pedal 52. This reduces the movement of the electronic keyboard instrument 10 during playing.
[0033] In the base member including the lower base member 100 and the upper base member 150, the bearing portion 153 is provided on the upper base member, and the installation member 201 is provided on the lower base member 100. As a result, the installation member 201 is provided below the pedal 52, and the base member including the installation member 201 and the bearing portion 153 can be provided integrally and compactly.
[0034] Moreover, the installation member 201 (adjustment member 103, pad 104) is disposed within the projection area S of the pedal 52. Furthermore, the pedal leg 200 is also disposed within the projection area S. This allows the pedal device 50 to have a good appearance, since when the pedal device 50 is viewed from above, which is the line of sight during playing, the pedal leg 200 and the installation member 201 are not visible and can only be seen by crouching down. Note that since the adjustment member 103 of the installation member 201 has a screw structure for adjustment, it is particularly preferable that the adjustment member 103 is located within the projection area S. In other words, if the installation member 201 is disposed within the projection area S, the pedal leg 200 can be disposed outside the projection area S, but from the viewpoint of aesthetics, it is preferable that the pedal leg 200 is also disposed within the projection area S.
[0035] In addition, the base member (lower base member 100 and lower sheet metal member 110) has a connecting rod 51 fixed thereto, which is a connecting member that connects to the leg 20 (leg 21) that supports the electronic keyboard instrument 10 to which the pedal device 50 is attached, and the distance L1a from the axis CL1 of the installation member 201 to the tip of the pedal 52, and the distance from the axis CL2 of the installation member 201 to the tip of the pedal 52 are smaller than the distance L2 from the axis CL1 of the installation member 201 (adjustment member 103, pad 104) to the axis CL2 of the connecting rod 51.
[0036] As a result, the position where pedal 52 is stepped on in the front-rear direction (the position of force F1 in FIG. 7) can be located near the installation member 201. And, in the right pedal 52a and the left pedal 52b, the adjustment member 103 can be located immediately below the position where pedal 52 is stepped on. As a result, the stepping force F1 can be directly received by the installation member 201.
[0037] The pedal device 50 also has a coil spring 54 which is a biasing member that biases the pedal 52 upward, and the axis CL2 of the connecting rod 51 is disposed between the axis CL3 of the coil spring 54 and the axis CL4 of the rotating shaft 55. This allows the axis CL2 of the connecting rod 51, to which a force F2 which is part of the load of the electronic keyboard instrument 10 is applied, to be disposed close to the coil spring 54 and the rotating shaft 55 in the front-rear direction, so that the biasing force of the coil spring 54 and the force F3 applied to the rotating shaft 55 can be countered by the force F2 while minimizing the generation of moment force.
[0038] Furthermore, the pedal leg part 200 is provided with a cushion member 105 as a lower limit regulating member that regulates the lower limit of the pedal 52, on the axis CL1 of the installation member 201 (adjustment member 103, pad 104) that faces the lower surface of the pedal 52. This allows the force F1 of stepping on the pedal 52 to be received by the pedal leg part 200 (installation member 201) while minimizing the generation of moment force, etc.
[0039] Furthermore, the adjustment member 103 of the installation member 201 is provided so as to be movable in the up and down direction by a screw structure. This makes it possible to reliably install the pedal device 50 on the installation surface FL with a simple structure.
[0040] In addition, the pedal device 50 includes three pedals 52 (right pedal 52a, left pedal 52b, and center pedal 52c), and the adjustment members 103 are provided corresponding to the right pedal 52a and the left pedal 52b, which are the outer pedals 52. This allows the pedal device 50 to be installed on the installation surface FL with good left-right balance.
[0041] The electronic keyboard instrument 10 also has a pedal device 50. This makes it possible to reduce the movement of the electronic keyboard instrument 10, to which the pedal device 50 is attached, during playing even when the pedal 52 of the pedal device 50 is depressed, and it is possible to provide an electronic keyboard instrument 10 equipped with a pedal device 50 that improves appearance by hiding the pedal leg 200 (installation member 201) behind the pedal 52 and making it difficult to see. Note that, although the pedal device 50 is provided on the electronic keyboard instrument 10 in this embodiment, it can also be provided on other instruments or electronic instruments.
[0042] Although some embodiments of the present invention have been described, these embodiments are presented as examples and are not intended to limit the scope of the invention. These novel embodiments can be implemented in various other forms, and various omissions, substitutions, and modifications can be made without departing from the spirit of the invention.
