Abstract

To provide a cleaning method of an ink discharge surface of an ink jet printer capable of obtaining a sufficient cleaning effect of the ink discharge surface unlike conventional ones where the sufficient cleaning effect cannot be obtained with wiping being performed in a state that a cleaning liquid runs out in the middle of a cleaning liquid application process to an ink discharge surface by a wiper.SOLUTION: The cleaning method of the ink discharge surface of the ink jet printer performs application of a cleaning liquid 50 to an entire region of a discharge surface 1a in a state of being divided into a plurality of regions, thereby, sufficiently applying the cleaning liquid 50 to each region, so as to avoid occurrence of a region where the application of the cleaning liquid 50 is insufficient, enabling a sufficient cleaning effect to be obtained.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
