[0188] Centrifugal separation test A centrifugation test was used to determine how stable the pigments were in the above formulations. Separation after centrifugation is an indication of instability and is generally undesirable. The above formulations were mixed by hand and 6 mL was transferred to a 15 mL plastic centrifuge tube. The samples were centrifuged at 2800G for 25 minutes (Themo Electron IEC C130 centrifuge). The samples were then evaluated for pigment separation. All pigments showed white and black sedimentation except for the triethoxycaprylsilane treated pigment.

Claims
1. A cosmetic composition capable of forming a multi-layer structure after application to a keratinous material, comprising: (a) Component A comprising: (i) 0.01% to 60% by weight of the total composition of at least one silicone and / or hydrocarbon-containing film former having at least one glass transition temperature below normal human body temperature; (ii) at least one pigment or filler that has been surface treated; and (b) Component B, which comprises: (i) from 0.01% to 90% by weight of the total composition of one or more silicone compounds; Including, A cosmetic composition, wherein component A and component B are immiscible.
2. The cosmetic composition according to claim 1, wherein the pigment is present in an amount of from 1% to 15% by weight relative to the total weight of the composition.
3. The cosmetic composition according to claim 1 , wherein the surface-treated pigment is part of component A.
4. The cosmetic composition of claim 1 , wherein the pigment comprises a metal oxide.
5. The cosmetic composition of claim 4 , wherein the metal oxide comprises iron oxide, titanium dioxide, zinc oxide, chromium oxide, or a combination thereof.
6. The cosmetic composition of claim 1 , wherein the pigment comprises a metal sulfide.
7. The cosmetic composition according to claim 6 , wherein the metal sulfide comprises ultramarine blue.
8. The cosmetic composition of claim 1 , wherein the pigment comprises an organic pigment.
9. 9. The cosmetic composition of claim 8, wherein the organic pigment comprises Blue No. 1, Yellow No. 5, Yellow No. 6, Red No. 33, Red No. 6, Red No. 7, Red No. 36, Red No. 28, Red No. 22, or a combination thereof.
10. The cosmetic composition of claim 1 , further comprising a second pigment.
11. The composition of claim 10 , wherein the second pigment is an untreated organic pigment.
12. The cosmetic composition according to claim 1 , which is anhydrous.
13. 2. The cosmetic composition according to claim 1, wherein component A constitutes 15% to 60% by weight of the total weight of the composition.
14. 2. The cosmetic composition according to claim 1, wherein component B comprises 0.01% to 80% of one or more silicone compounds, based on the total weight of the composition, in an amount sufficient to obtain a viscosity of 1,000 cSt to 900,000 cSt.
15. The cosmetic composition of claim 1 , wherein the silicone compound comprises at least one polymer selected from the group consisting of silicone gums, silicone fluids, and mixtures thereof.
16. 10. The cosmetic composition of claim 1, wherein Component A comprises at least one silicone-containing film former selected from the group consisting of silicone resins, silicone acrylate copolymers, and mixtures thereof.
17. The cosmetic composition of claim 16, wherein the at least one silicone-containing film-forming agent comprises a silsesquioxane.
18. 2. The cosmetic composition of claim 1, wherein component A comprises at least one hydrocarbon-containing film-forming agent selected from the group consisting of polysaccharides, high viscosity esters, polybutenes, polyisobutenes, polyhydrogenated butenes, acrylic polymers, acrylate copolymers, vinylpyrrolidone (VP)-containing homopolymers and copolymers, polyurethanes, polyolefins, and mixtures thereof.
19. The cosmetic composition according to claim 1, which is free of fluorinated compounds.
20. A kit comprising: (a) the cosmetic composition of claim 1; (b) at least one container holding the cosmetic composition of claim 1; and (c) at least one applicator.
21. The kit of claim 20, wherein at least one container is configured for mixing the cosmetic composition.
22. A method for applying the cosmetic composition of claim 1 to a keratinous material, comprising: mixing the cosmetic composition to form a mixed composition in which component A and component B are temporarily miscible; and applying the mixed composition to the keratinous material.
23. 23. The method of claim 22, wherein the keratinous material comprises lips.
