Description

[Technical field]

[0001] The present invention relates to a ratchet type one-way clutch used as a torque transmission means or a backstop in vehicles, industrial machines, etc. [Background technology]

[0002] Conventionally, there has been known a ratchet-type one-way clutch equipped with a ratchet mechanism consisting of a plurality of pawl members provided on the inner circumference of an outer ring and a plurality of teeth provided on the outer circumference of an inner ring so as to mesh with the plurality of pawl members (see, for example, Patent Document 1). [Prior art documents] [Patent documents]

[0003] [Patent Document 1] Patent Application No. 2000-17658 Summary of the Invention [Problem to be solved by the invention]

[0004] In designing a ratchet-type one-way clutch, in order to maximize the torque that can be transmitted between the inner and outer rings, it is common for multiple pawl members to simultaneously engage multiple teeth, with each pawl member sharing the torque load.

[0005] However, in reality, due to manufacturing errors of each component of the ratchet type one-way clutch, i.e., the outer ring, the inner ring, and the pawl members, it is unlikely that the multiple pawl members will receive the torque load evenly when transmitting torque between the inner ring and the outer ring. In detail, one of the pawl members first engages with the teeth, and as the torque increases, each component elastically deforms, and the other pawl members begin to engage with the teeth. In addition, which pawl member receives the torque load first is random, so there is a possibility that a pawl member cannot engage with the teeth due to manufacturing errors of each component and the position of the pawl member that receives the torque load first. This may result in the torque capacity of the ratchet type one-way clutch being smaller than expected, and may even be damaged.

[0006] SUMMARY OF THE PRESENT DISCLOSURE ... The present invention has been made in consideration of the above problems, and has an object to provide a ratchet type one-way clutch in which all of the pawl members can stably engage with the teeth portions. [Means for solving the problem]

[0007] In order to solve the above problems, the present invention provides: A cylindrical outer ring; a cylindrical inner ring arranged radially inward of the outer ring so as to be relatively rotatable; and first to nth claw members arranged on an inner peripheral side of the outer ring so as to be rotatable in a radial direction, a plurality of teeth portions with which the first to nth claw members can be engaged are formed on an outer circumferential surface of the inner ring, The inner circumferential surface of the outer ring is formed with first to nth claw member holding portions for holding the first to nth claw members, the first to nth claw member holding portions are provided with biasing members that bias the first to nth claw members toward the inner ring, the second to n-th claw member retaining portions are provided at positions that divide the inner peripheral surface of the outer ring into n equal parts in the circumferential direction based on the position of the first claw member retaining portion, as viewed from a central axis of the outer ring, The ratchet type one-way clutch is characterized in that the length of the first pawl member in the circumferential direction is longer than the lengths of the second to nth pawl members in the circumferential direction by an arbitrary length. Effect of the Invention

[0008] According to the present invention, it is possible to provide a ratchet type one-way clutch in which all of the pawl members can stably engage with the teeth portions. [Brief description of the drawings]

[Diagram 3] FIG. 3 is a cross-sectional view showing a cross section perpendicular to the axial direction of a ratchet type one-way clutch according to a second embodiment of the present invention, as viewed from one axial side. [Figure 4] 4(a) to 4(c) are partially enlarged views showing configurations of the first to third pawl members and the first to third pawl member holding portions in the ratchet type one-way clutch according to the first embodiment of the present invention shown in FIG. DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

[0010] A ratchet type one-way clutch (hereinafter simply referred to as a "one-way clutch") according to each embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to the accompanying drawings.

[0011] (First embodiment) First, the directions of the one-way clutch 1 according to the first embodiment shown in FIG. 1 are defined. The axial direction, radial direction, and circumferential direction of the one-way clutch 1 refer to the axial direction, radial direction, and circumferential direction with respect to the central axis O of the one-way clutch 1 (i.e., the central axis of the outer ring 2 and the inner ring 3). In the axial direction, the front side of the paper in FIG. 1 is the one axial side, and the back side of the paper is the other axial side. In the circumferential direction, the clockwise rotation direction with respect to the paper in FIG. 1 is the one circumferential side (also called the clockwise direction), and the counterclockwise rotation direction with respect to the paper in FIG. 1 is the other circumferential side (also called the counterclockwise direction). Note that the rotation of the one-way clutch 1 will be described in terms of the rotation of the inner ring 3 relative to the outer ring 2, but the rotation of the outer ring 2 and the rotation of the inner ring 3 are relative to each other. The definitions of the directions of the one-way clutch 1 are the same in the second embodiment described later.

[0012] As shown in Fig. 1, one-way clutch 1 comprises a cylindrical outer ring 2, a cylindrical inner ring 3 that is rotatable relative to the outer ring 2, and a torque transmission mechanism that transmits torque from the inner ring 3 to the outer ring 2. The torque transmission mechanism of one-way clutch 1 employs a ratchet mechanism including first to third pawl members 4a to 4c provided on the inner periphery of the outer ring 2.

[0013] The inner ring 3 is spaced radially inward from the outer ring 2, has a smaller diameter than the outer ring 2, and is coaxial with the outer ring 2. On the outer peripheral surface of the inner ring 3, a plurality of teeth 5 that protrude radially outward and extend in the axial direction are provided at equal intervals in the circumferential direction around the entire circumference of the outer peripheral surface. The teeth 5 have a trapezoidal cross section as viewed from one axial side, and constitute ratchet teeth with which the first to third pawl members 4a to 4c mesh. In detail, the first to third pawl members 4a to 4c mesh with a wall surface 6 on one circumferential side (clockwise side) of the teeth 5. Here, the portion between the teeth 5 on the outer peripheral surface of the inner ring 3 is referred to as a bottom surface 7, and the first to third pawl members 4a to 4c entering between the teeth 5 is also referred to as dropping to the bottom surface 7.

[0014] The inner peripheral surface of the inner ring 3 defines a shaft hole 8. A shaft 9 that is concentric with the inner ring 3 is fitted into the shaft hole 8, and the inner ring 3 and the shaft 9 can rotate together. The shaft 9 is connected to a drive device (not shown), for example, via a gear mechanism (not shown). The shaft 9 and the shaft hole 8 may be configured to be spline-fitted.

[0015] A plurality of protrusions 11 that protrude radially outward and extend in the axial direction are provided along the circumferential direction on the outer peripheral surface of the outer ring 2. The protrusions 11 have a trapezoidal cross section when viewed from one axial side, and are fitted with, for example, a shaft (not shown) connected to a driven device (not shown). First, second and third claw member holding portions 12a to 12c are formed on the inner periphery of the outer ring 2 at equal intervals in the circumferential direction and extend in the axial direction (see Figs. 2(a) to 2(c)). The first, second and third claw member holding portions 12a to 12c hold the first, second and third claw members 4a to 4c described above.

[0016] The first claw member retaining portion 12a is a recess that opens radially inward on the inner circumferential surface of the outer ring 2. The first claw member retaining portion 12a is composed of a first recess 13a and a second recess 14a that is integrally formed adjacent to the first recess 13a on the other circumferential side. The first recess 13a of the first claw member holding portion 12a has a circular shape recessed from the inner surface of the outer ring 2 toward one circumferential side and radially outward when viewed from one axial side, and is a part that holds the first claw member 4a in a swingable manner.

[0017] The second recess 14a of the first claw member holding portion 12a has a rectangular shape recessed from the inner peripheral surface of the outer ring 2 toward the other circumferential side and radially outward when viewed from one axial side. A recess (not shown) recessed radially outward is further formed in the bottom surface of the second recess 14a, and an elastic member 15a is installed in this recess as a biasing member for biasing the first claw member 4a toward the inner ring 3. The bottom surface of the recess in which the elastic member 15a is installed is referred to as the installation surface of the elastic member 15a. The second and third claw member holding portions 12b, 12c have the same configuration as the first claw member holding portion 12a, and are made up of first recesses 13b, 13c, second recesses 14b, 14c, and elastic members 15b, 15c.

[0018] The first claw member 4a is an elongated metal member having a predetermined circumferential length and extending in the axial direction. When viewed from one axial side, the first claw member 4a is composed of a circular portion 16a having a circular shape and a rectangular claw portion 17a integrally provided on the circular portion 16a and protruding toward the other circumferential side. The circular portion 16a of the first claw member 4a is held in a first recess 13a of the first claw member holding portion 12a so as to be rotatable about a center 18a of the circular portion 16a as a rotation (swing) center (see FIG. 2(a)).

[0019] The claw portion 17a of the first claw member 4a is arranged in the second recess 14a of the first claw member holding portion 12a, and is constantly biased toward the inner ring 3 (radially inward) by an elastic member 15a provided in the second recess 14a, and protrudes from the opening on the inner ring 3 side of the second recess 14a toward the other circumferential side and toward the inner ring 3. The second and third claw members 4b, 4c have the same configuration as the first claw member 4a, and are made up of circular portions 16b, 16c and claw portions 17b, 17c.

[0020] The ratchet mechanism of the one-way clutch 1 is constituted by the tooth portion 5 of the inner ring 3, the first to third pawl member holding portions 12a to 12c of the outer ring 2, the first to third pawl members 4a to 4c held by the first to third pawl member holding portions 12a to 12c, and the elastic members 15a to 15c.

[0021] In the one-way clutch 1 configured as described above, when the inner ring 3 rotates clockwise together with the shaft 9 driven by a drive unit (not shown), the relative rotation of the inner ring 3 with respect to the outer ring 2 is fixed, and the outer ring 2 and a shaft (not shown) fitted to the outer ring 2 rotate integrally together with the inner ring 3. On the other hand, when the inner ring 3 rotates counterclockwise, the inner ring 3 rotates freely with respect to the outer ring 2.

[0022] Specifically, when the inner ring 3 rotates in the clockwise direction, the first to third claw members 4a to 4c of the outer ring 2 each mesh with the toothed portion 5 of the inner ring 3. Specifically, the tips of the claw portions 17a to 17c of the first to third claw members 4a to 4c engage with the wall surface 6 on one circumferential side of the toothed portion 5. In this manner, the wall surface 6 on one circumferential side of the toothed portion 5 constitutes the meshing surface of the toothed portion 5 that meshes with the first to third claw members 4a to 4c. As the first to third claw members 4a to 4c mesh with the toothed portion 5, the outer ring 2 and the inner ring 3 rotate together, and torque is transmitted from the inner ring 3 to the outer ring 2. When the outer ring 2 is fixed, the one-way clutch 1 functions as a backstop that prevents the inner ring 3 from rotating in the clockwise direction.

[0023] On the other hand, when the inner ring 3 rotates counterclockwise, the first to third claw members 4a to 4c do not mesh with the teeth 5 of the inner ring 3. Specifically, when the teeth 5 of the inner ring 3 come into contact with the first to third claw members 4a to 4c, the teeth 5 push the claw portions 17a to 17c of the first to third claw members 4a to 4c radially outward against the biasing force of the elastic members 15a to 15c while the inner ring 3 rotates. That is, the inner ring 3 rotates idly relative to the outer ring 2, and torque is not transmitted from the inner ring 3 to the outer ring 2.

[0024] In the one-way clutch 1 according to this embodiment, when the first to third pawl members 4a to 4c engage with the tooth portion 5, the claw portions 17a to 17c of the first to third pawl members 4a to 4c are not repelled in the non-engagement direction, i.e., radially outward by the engagement surface 6 of the tooth portion 5 and do not ride up onto the tooth portion 5, so that the first to third pawl members 4a to 4c can reliably engage with the tooth portion 5. The configuration of the ratchet mechanism in this embodiment that provides such an effect will be described in detail below.

[0025] In this embodiment, the first claw member 4a is designed to have a larger circumferential length of the claw portion 17a than the second and third claw members 4b and 4c, and the total circumferential length T1 of the first claw member 4a is larger than the total circumferential lengths T2 and T3 of the second and third claw members 4b and 4c by arbitrary lengths γ1 and γ2 (T1-T2=γ1, T1-T3=γ2). Here, the arbitrary lengths γ1 and γ2 are set in consideration of the amount of deformation when each component of the one-way clutch 1, i.e., the inner ring 3, the outer ring 2, and the first to third claw members 4a to 4c elastically deform under torque load and the installation backlash during assembly. Such a configuration of the first to third claw members 4a to 4c is referred to as a "first configuration".

[0026] Under the above first configuration, when the inner ring 3 rotates clockwise, since the total length T1 of the first claw member 4a is greater than the total lengths T2 and T3 of the second and third claw members 4b and 4c, the claw portion 17a of the first claw member 4a of the outer ring 2 first falls to the bottom surface 7 of the inner ring 3 and engages with the meshing surface 6 of the tooth portion 5.

[0027] At this time, the claw portion 17b of the second claw member 4b falls onto the bottom surface 7 of the inner ring 3. Since the total length T2 of the second claw member 4b is smaller than the total length T1 of the first claw member 4a, a gap is formed in the circumferential direction between the tip of the claw portion 17b of the second claw member 4b, specifically, the end face on the other circumferential side (counterclockwise side), and the meshing surface 6 of the toothed portion 5. Therefore, the claw portion 17b of the second claw member 4b can fall onto the bottom surface 7 of the inner ring 3 without climbing up onto the toothed portion 5. Then, when the inner ring 3 rotates in the clockwise direction, or due to elastic deformation or installation backlash of each component due to a torque load, the gap between the claw portion 17b of the second claw member 4b and the toothed portion 5 disappears, and the claw portion 17b of the second claw member 4b can engage with the meshing surface 6 of the toothed portion 5. It should be noted that the claw portion 17c of the third claw member 4c operates in the same manner as the claw portion 17b of the second claw member 4b when the inner ring 3 rotates clockwise.

[0028] As described above, when the inner ring 3 rotates clockwise, the claw portions 17a-17c of the first to third claw members 4a-4c can reliably engage with the tooth portion 5. Therefore, the first to third claw members 4a-4c can share and bear the torque load in torque transmission from the inner ring 3 to the outer ring 2. Therefore, the one-way clutch 1 can maximize the torque that can be transmitted between the inner ring 3 and the outer ring 2. In addition, since it is possible to eliminate the occurrence of a claw member that cannot be engaged with the tooth portion 5, it is possible to prevent the torque capacity of the one-way clutch 1 from decreasing, and thus the one-way clutch 1 from being damaged. In addition, since it is not necessary to increase the number of claw members to ensure the safety of the one-way clutch 1, it is also possible to suppress the diameter expansion of the one-way clutch 1.

[0029] In this embodiment, the elastic member 15a of the first claw member holding portion 12a is an elastic member having a larger biasing force than the elastic members 15b, 15c of the second and third claw member holding portions 12b, 12c. That is, the load P1 of the elastic member 15a of the first claw member holding portion 12a that biases the first claw member 4a is larger than the loads P2, P3 of the elastic members 15b, 15c of the second and third claw member holding portions 12b, 12c that bias the second and third claw members 4b, 4c (P1>P2, P3). Such a configuration of the elastic members 15a-15c of the first to third claw member holding portions 12a-12c is referred to as a "second configuration."

[0030] With the above-mentioned second configuration, when the inner ring 3 rotates clockwise and each of the claw portions 17a to 17c of the first to third claw members 4a to 4c falls to the bottom surface 7 of the inner ring 3 and engages with the tooth portion 5, the falling speed of each of the claw portions 17a to 17c to the bottom surface 7 can be made faster for the first claw member 4a than for the second and third claw members 4b, 4c. That is, when the inner ring 3 rotates clockwise, the claw portion 17a of the first claw member 4a can be dropped onto the bottom surface 7 of the inner ring 3 more quickly than the second and third claw members 4b, 4c, and the claw portion 17a of the first claw member 4a can be more reliably engaged with the teeth portion 5 first. Then, following the first claw member 4a, the claw portions 17b, 17c of the second and third claw members 4b, 4c can be dropped onto the bottom surface 7 of the inner ring 3 and engaged with the teeth portion 5. Therefore, the one-way clutch 1 can more surely exhibit the effects of the first configuration of the first to third claw member holding portions 12a to 12c described above.

[0031] According to the present embodiment, it is possible to realize a one-way clutch 1 in which all of the first to third claw members 4a to 4c can be stably engaged with the tooth portion 5, and the transmissible torque is maximized while there is no risk of breakage.

[0032] (Second Embodiment) Regarding the one-way clutch 30 according to the second embodiment shown in FIG. 3, the same components as those in the first embodiment are denoted by the same reference numerals and the description thereof is omitted, and different components will be described in detail. In the present embodiment, the elastic members 15a to 15c of the first to third claw member holding portions 12a to 12c use elastic members having the same biasing force (P1 = P2 = P3).

[0033] Further, in the present embodiment, as shown in FIGS. 4(a) to 4(c), the depth G1 of the installation surface of the elastic member 15a in the first claw member holding portion 12a is designed to be smaller than the depths G2 and G3 of the installation surfaces of the elastic members 15b and 15c in the second and third claw member holding portions 12b and 12c (G1 < G2, G3). Here, the depths G1 to G3 of the installation surfaces of the elastic members 15a to 15c are, in detail, the radial distances from the bottom surfaces of the second recesses 14a to 14c of the first to third claw member holding portions 12a to 12c to the bottom surfaces of recesses (installation surfaces of the elastic members 15a to 15c) formed in the bottom surfaces and extending radially outward for installing the elastic members 15a to 15c.

[0034] Such a configuration of the elastic members 15a to 15c of the first to third claw member holding portions 12a to 12c and their installation surfaces is referred to as a "third configuration".

[0035] According to the above-described third configuration, the radial distance between the installation surface of the elastic member 15a in the first claw member holding portion 12a and the claw portion 17a of the first claw member 4a is smaller than the radial distance between the installation surface of the elastic member 15b in the second claw member holding portion 12b and the claw portion 17b of the second claw member 4b, and the radial distance between the installation surface of the elastic member 15c in the third claw member holding portion 12c and the claw portion 17c of the third claw member 4c. For this reason, when the inner ring 3 rotates and the tooth portion 5 of the inner ring 3 contacts the first to third claw members 4a to 4c, a greater force is applied by the elastic member 15a of the first claw member holding portion 12a than the elastic members 15b and 15c of the second and third claw member holding portions 12b and 12c. Therefore, the biasing force of the elastic member 15a of the first claw member holding portion 12a becomes greater than the biasing forces of the elastic members 15b and 15c of the second and third claw member holding portions 12b and 12c. Accordingly, the third configuration of the present embodiment can achieve the same effect as the second configuration of the first embodiment. Therefore, the one-way clutch 30 according to the present embodiment can achieve the same effect as the one-way clutch 1 according to the first embodiment.

[0036] Note that the above-described first embodiment shows an example in which the first configuration and the second configuration are combined, and the above-described second embodiment shows an example in which the first configuration and the third configuration are combined. However, the present invention is not limited to this, and the second configuration and the third configuration may be combined with the first configuration. That is, while using an elastic member having a greater biasing force than the elastic members 15b and 15c of the second and third claw member holding portions 12b and 12c for the elastic member 15a of the first claw member holding portion 12a (P1 > P2, P3), the depth G1 of the installation surface of the elastic member 15a of the first claw member holding portion 12a may be made smaller than the depths G2 and G3 of the installation surfaces of the elastic members 15b and 15c of the second and third claw member holding portions 12b and 12c (G1 < G2, G3). Thereby, the falling speed of the first to third claw members 4a to 4c onto the bottom surface 7 of the inner ring 3 when the inner ring 3 rotates in the clockwise direction can be set more appropriately.

[0037] In each of the above embodiments, one-way clutches 1 and 30 are shown having three claw members (first to third claw member 4a to 4c) and three claw member holding portions (first to third claw member holding portions 12a to 12c), but the number of claw members and claw member holding portions is not limited to this.

[0038] In each of the above embodiments, one-way clutches 1, 30 are shown that are capable of transmitting torque from the inner ring 3 to the outer ring 2, with the inner ring 3 being the input side and the outer ring 2 being the output side, but the present invention is not limited to this and can also be applied to a one-way clutch that transmits torque from the outer ring to the inner ring, with the outer ring being the input side and the inner ring being the output side.

[0039] Furthermore, in each of the above embodiments, the one-way clutches 1 and 30 are shown in which the first to third pawl members 4a to 4c engage with the wall surface 6 on one circumferential side of the teeth portion 5 of the inner ring 3 to transmit the clockwise rotation of the inner ring 3 to the outer ring 2. However, the present invention is not limited to this, and can also be applied to a so-called torque transmission direction switching ratchet type one-way clutch which further has a plurality of pawl members engageable with the wall surface on the other circumferential side of the teeth portion 5 and is capable of selectively switching between a state in which the clockwise rotation of the inner ring 3 is transmitted to the outer ring 2 and a state in which the counterclockwise rotation of the inner ring 3 is transmitted to the outer ring 2 by switching between the plurality of pawl members and the first to third pawl members 4a to 4c.
