Description

[Technical field]

[0001] The present invention relates to a deburring device for removing burrs generated during machining of a workpiece. [Background technology]

[0002] Patent Document 1 discloses a deburring device for a cylindrical vibration isolator having a rubber material between an inner cylinder and an outer cylinder. The deburring device of Patent Document 1 includes two receiving shafts that rotate the work by clamping both ends of the cylindrical vibration isolator, a wheel brush that rotates around an axis perpendicular to the axis of the work, a first sub-base provided with a rail extending in the radial direction of the work, a second sub-base that moves the wheel brush in the radial direction of the work by moving on the rail, and a third sub-base that adjusts the height of the wheel brush. In the device of Patent Document 1, after the wheel brush is pressed against one end of the outer cylinder of the work to deburr, the wheel brush is temporarily removed from the work and moved to the other end of the outer cylinder of the work, and the wheel brush is pressed against the other end of the outer cylinder again to deburr. Therefore, the wheel brush is not moved while pressed against the work, so that wear of the wheel brush can be suppressed. Patent document 1 also states that because the wheel brush rotates around an axis perpendicular to the axis of the workpiece, the wheel brush will not come off the outer tube of the workpiece and be pressed against it, which prevents the wheel brush from wearing unevenly and prevents the protruding parts of the rubber material from being damaged by the wheel brush.

[0003] Patent Document 2 describes a deburring method suitable for removing burrs generated at corners of a cylinder head of an engine. In the method of Patent Document 2, a workpiece is gripped by a workpiece gripping part (chuck) of a floating hand, which is a gripping device, and the workpiece is moved to a deburring part having three deburring brushes. The three deburring brushes are arranged so as to abut against both side surfaces and a bottom surface of the gripped workpiece. That is, in the method described in Patent Document 2, the workpiece is moved freely by the floating hand, and the deburring brush is abutted against a portion that needs deburring. In the method described in Patent Document 2, when deburring is performed while moving the workpiece, the workpiece is moved back and forth along the deburring brush, and the deburring brush is rotated in a direction opposite to the moving direction of the workpiece, thereby performing deburring. [0004] [Patent Document 1] Japanese Patent Application Publication No. 10-094954 [Patent Document 2] Japanese Patent Application Publication No. 5-208354 Summary of the Invention [Problem to be solved by the invention]

[0005] In both the device of Patent Document 1 and the method of Patent Document 2, after deburring a portion of the workpiece, a mechanism for moving the workpiece or the brush is used to deburr the remaining portion of the workpiece. Therefore, a mechanism for moving the workpiece or the brush to a desired position is required, which results in an increase in the size of the entire device and a complex control of the device to move the workpiece with precision. On the other hand, when deburring a portion of the workpiece manually by an operator, the accuracy of the deburring may vary depending on the skill of the operator.

[0006] For example, there is a case where a workpiece is fixed in a vice or the like, and burrs are removed from the workpiece by pressing a switch while holding the workpiece in a hand and rotating the electric brush. In such a case, the electric brush is brought into contact with the burrs while the device is lifted, and the weight of the device and the size, length, and shape of the workpiece may increase resistance to the operation of the electric brush, which may make the deburring operation unstable. In addition, the workpiece may be deformed due to the load applied when the workpiece is fixed in the vice. Therefore, there is room for improvement in order to simplify the deburring device while performing high-precision deburring.

[0007] The present invention has been made in consideration of the above-mentioned technical problems, and aims to provide a deburring device that can stably and accurately remove burrs from a workpiece while miniaturizing the entire device. [Means for solving the problem]

[0008] In order to achieve the above-mentioned object, the present invention provides a deburring device that removes burrs produced when a workpiece formed to be long in one direction is processed, the device comprising: a work processing section into which the workpiece can be inserted and which is activated by passing an electric current through it to remove the burrs from the inserted workpiece; a switch that, when pressed, passes the electric current to activate the work processing section; and a switching mechanism which is a mechanism for pressing or releasing the switch, the switching mechanism being configured to press the switch when the workpiece is pushed into a predetermined position in the work processing section, and to release the switch when the workpiece is pulled out from the predetermined position. Effect of the Invention

[0009] According to the deburring device of the present invention, by pushing the workpiece into the workpiece processing section, the switch is pressed and the workpiece processing section is operated, and conversely, by pulling the workpiece out of the workpiece processing section, the switch is released and the workpiece processing section is stopped. In other words, the workpiece processing section is operated and the burrs of the workpiece can be removed by the worker simply pushing the workpiece into the deburring device. Therefore, since there is little difference in processing accuracy between workers, deburring can be performed with stable high accuracy. In addition, the burrs can be removed without fixing the workpiece using a fixing device such as a vice. Furthermore, since the movement of the workpiece and the operation of pushing it into the workpiece processing section are performed by the worker, the entire device can be made smaller and the control of the device can be simplified compared to the case where a mechanism for moving the workpiece to an appropriate direction and position is provided. In other words, by having the machine and the worker take on the tasks that they are good at, respectively, it is possible to achieve stable and high-precision deburring and a compact device. DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

[0011] The present invention will be described below based on the embodiments shown in the drawings. Note that the embodiments described below are merely examples of the present invention and are not intended to limit the present invention.

[0012] FIG. 1 shows an example of a deburring device 1 according to an embodiment of the present invention. The deburring device 1 shown in FIG. 1 is a device for removing burrs generated by processing a workpiece 2, which is a cylindrical member long in one direction. The deburring device 1 shown in FIG. 1 is operated by inserting the workpiece 2 by an operator, and removes burrs from the inserted workpiece 2. FIG. 1(a) shows an initial state (initial position) in which the workpiece 2 is not inserted, and FIG. 1(b) shows an operating state (operating position) in which the workpiece 2 is inserted, that is, a state in which the workpiece 2 is pushed into a predetermined position. The deburring device 1 includes a guide mechanism 3, a workpiece processing unit 4, a brush operating unit 5, and a switching mechanism 6. The workpiece 2 is, for example, an aluminum material, and is a cylindrical member formed by extrusion molding in which bulging portions 2a bulging outward in the radial direction extend from one end to the other end in the axial direction and are formed at four equally spaced locations in the circumferential direction, as shown in FIG. 2(a).

[0013] The guide mechanism 3 is also called a linear guide, and moves along two rails (rolling grooves) 8, 9 formed on a base 7 by the rolling of balls (not shown). The guide mechanism 3 also has integrated therein a workpiece processing unit 4 and a brush operating unit 5, which also move as the guide mechanism 3 moves. Although not shown in the drawings, the guide mechanism 3 has a number of balls made of copper or the like held in an annular shape by a ball retainer so that they can rotate on their own axis, and the balls move linearly by rolling guide as they roll on the rails. The guide mechanism 3 moves on the rails 8, 9 by the workpiece 2 being pushed in by an operator. Conversely, the guide mechanism 3 is returned to its initial position by a spring, which will be described later, when the workpiece 2 is pulled out.

[0014] The workpiece processing unit 4 is formed so that the workpiece 2 can be inserted therein, and is configured to remove burrs from the inserted workpiece 2. As shown in Fig. 2(b), the workpiece processing unit 4 is provided with a large diameter brush 10 and a small diameter brush 11 for removing burrs from the workpiece 2 at the portion where the workpiece 2 is inserted. The small diameter brush 11 and the large diameter brush 10 may be nylon brushes containing an abrasive, wire brushes made of stainless steel or brass, or the like.

[0015] The small diameter brush 11 has a smaller outer diameter than the large diameter brush 10, and enters the inside of the workpiece 2 inserted into the workpiece processing section 4 and abuts against the inner surface of the workpiece 2. The small diameter brush 11 spreads out radially from a first support section 13 attached to one end of the shaft member 12. Therefore, the small diameter brush 11 is formed in a trapezoidal shape in a side view as shown in FIG. 2(b). Therefore, when the small diameter brush 11 is inserted into the inside of the workpiece 2, the small diameter brush 11 easily abuts against the inner surface of the workpiece 2. The shaft member 12 is connected to the brush operating section 5.

[0016] The large diameter brush 10 has an outer diameter larger than that of the small diameter brush 11, and abuts against the outer surface of the workpiece 2 inserted into the workpiece processing section 4. The large diameter brush 10 is hollow on the inner periphery side, and is configured to accommodate the small diameter brush 11 inside. The large diameter brush 10 is attached to the outer periphery side of a disk-shaped second support section 15 in which a through hole 14 is formed. A shaft member 12 on which the small diameter brush 11 is provided is fitted into the through hole 14 of the second support section 15. The large diameter brush 10 is formed to spread radially from the second support section 15 like the small diameter brush 11. The inner shape of the large diameter brush 10 is also the same as the outer shape. In other words, it is formed so that the inner diameter becomes larger in the axial direction from the second support section 15. Therefore, when the workpiece 2 is pressed into the shaft member 12 side, the large diameter brush 10 is reliably abutted against the outer surface of the workpiece 2.

[0017] The large diameter brush 10 thus configured is fixed to the shaft member 12 by bolts. Specifically, in the workpiece processing section 4, the first support part 13 to which the small diameter brush 11 is attached, the second support part 15, and the two nuts 16 and 17 are arranged in this order in the axial direction, as shown in Fig. 2(b). By tightening the nuts 16 and 17, the second support part 15 is sandwiched and fixed between the first support part 13 and the nuts 16 and 17, and the large diameter brush 10 is integrated with the shaft member 12 and the small diameter brush 11.

[0018] The brush operating unit 5 is provided on the guide mechanism 3, and transmits rotational motion to the workpiece processing unit 4 when a current is passed through it. As shown in FIG. 1, one end of the brush operating unit 5 is connected to the shaft member 12 in the workpiece processing unit 4. Therefore, when electricity is passed through it, the shaft member 12 is rotated. Furthermore, electricity is passed through the brush operating unit 5 only while the switch 18 is pressed. In other words, while the switch 18 is pressed, the brush operating unit 5 operates and transmits rotational motion to the workpiece processing unit 4, and when the switch 18 is not pressed, the brush operating unit 5 stops and the workpiece processing unit 4 also stops.

[0019] The switching mechanism 6 is a mechanism for pressing a switch 18 that activates the brush operating unit 5 or releasing the switch 18. As shown in FIG. 1, the switching mechanism 6 has a C-shaped shape when viewed from above, and is arranged to be rotatable around a fixed shaft 19 provided adjacent to the base 7. Specifically, the opening of the C-shaped switching mechanism 6 faces the base 7. A spring 20 is attached to one end of the switching mechanism 6, one end of which is fixed to the guide mechanism 3. A pressing part 21 for pressing the switch 18 is provided to the other end of the switching mechanism 6. The pressing part 21 faces the switch 18 in the axial direction, and is separated from the switch 18 or slightly in contact with the switch 18 when the guide mechanism 3 is in the initial position. In addition, a cylindrical part 22 extending in a direction penetrating the base 7 is provided in a part of the switching mechanism 6 that extends parallel to the base 7. The fixed shaft 19 penetrates the inside of the cylindrical part 22, and the cylindrical part 22 and the fixed shaft 19 are connected to be capable of rotating relative to each other. Moreover, the switching mechanism 6 is configured to operate integrally with the guide mechanism 3. That is, the switching mechanism 6 is pushed by the guide mechanism 3 moving along the rails 8 and 9, and rotates about the fixed shaft 19.

[0020] A work support mechanism (jig) 23 is provided to prevent unintentional movement of the work 2 when the work 2 is deburred by the deburring device 1 configured as described above. As shown in Fig. 1, the work support mechanism 23 has four joints 24, 25, 26, and 27. The four joints 24, 25, 26, and 27 are arranged side by side at predetermined intervals along the axial direction of the deburring device 1, i.e., along the insertion direction of the work 2. The four joints 24, 25, 26, and 27 are supported by a set table (not shown) provided adjacent to the deburring device 1 in the axial direction.

[0021] The first joint 24, which is disposed at the position farthest from the deburring device 1, is a member long in the axial direction. The first joint 24 opens vertically upward at the center in the width direction, and has a first recess 24a extending in the axial direction as shown in FIG. 3(a). The first joint 24 is disposed so that the first recess 24a is on the same axis as the workpiece processing unit 4 of the deburring device 1, and is configured so that the workpiece 2 is placed and guided by the first recess 24a when the workpiece 2 is inserted into the deburring device 1. Therefore, the first recess 24a is formed to a size that allows the workpiece 2 to be placed therein and allows the workpiece 2 to be inserted therein so as to be movable relative to the first recess 24a.

[0022] The second joint 25 is disposed at a position spaced apart from the first joint 24 and at a position next farthest from the deburring device 1 after the first joint 24. As shown in FIG. 3(b), the second joint 25 has a second recess 25a that opens upward in the vertical direction, similar to the first joint 24, and is formed in a C-shape when viewed from the axial direction. The second recess 25a is open to an extent that the workpiece 2 can be placed from above in the vertical direction of the second joint 25. The second recess 25a is formed with a first recess 25b that bulges outward from the inner peripheral surface. The first recess 25b is formed at a position corresponding to the bulging portion 2a of the workpiece 2, that is, the shape of the inner surface of the second joint 25 is the same as the outer shape of the workpiece 2. Therefore, by placing the workpiece 2 on the second recess 25a while aligning the positions of the bulging portion 2a of the workpiece 2 and the first recess 25b of the second joint 25, the bulging portion 2a and the first recess 25b are engaged with each other to suppress the rotation of the workpiece 2. The second joints 25 are arranged in two adjacent positions spaced apart from each other in the axial direction of the deburring device 1. The third joint 26 is formed in the same manner as the second joint 25, and includes a third recess 26a similar to the second recess 25a and a second recess 26b similar to the first recess 25b. Therefore, the components of the third joint 26 are indicated in parentheses in FIG. 3(b).

[0023] The fourth joint 27 is located at a position spaced a predetermined distance from the second joint 25, and is located at the position closest to the deburring device 1 among the four joints 24, 25, 26, and 27. The fourth joint 27 has a fourth recess 27a that opens upward in the vertical direction, and is formed in a C-shape when viewed from the axial direction, similar to the second joint 25. Although the fourth recess 27a can accommodate the workpiece 2, the opening 27b of the fourth recess 27a is formed to be smaller than the diameter of the workpiece 2. Therefore, the workpiece 2 is accommodated in the fourth recess 27a by inserting the workpiece 2 into the fourth recess 27a from the axial direction. The order of the second joint 25 and the fourth joint 27 in the axial direction may be reversed. In addition, the first joint 24 may be omitted, or the number of the second joints 25 may be one, depending on the axial length of the workpiece 2. In other words, the work support mechanism 23 must be able to prevent the work 2 from unintentionally moving or shifting when the deburring device 1 deburrs the work 2, and the number, type, spacing, etc., of the work support mechanisms 23 may be set appropriately.

[0024] Next, a series of operations for deburring the workpiece 2 by the deburring device 1 and the workpiece support mechanism 23 configured as described above will be described. First, the worker places the workpiece 2 on the workpiece support mechanism 23. Since the fourth joint 27 of the workpiece support mechanism 23 cannot be placed from above, the workpiece 2 is placed on the first recess 24a of the first joint 24, the second recess 25a of the second joint 25, and the third recess 26a of the third joint 26, and then slid in the axial direction toward the deburring device 1 so that the workpiece 2 penetrates the fourth recess 27a of the fourth joint 27. At this time, the second joint 25 and the third joint 26 are formed with the first recess 25b and the second recess 26b corresponding to the bulging portion 2a of the workpiece 2, so that the workpiece 2 is placed on the second joint 25 and the third joint 26 with the bulging portion 2a and the recesses 25b and 26b corresponding to each other in the radial direction. As a result, the bulge 2a enters the first recess 25b and the second recess 26b, so that the rotation of the workpiece 2 is suppressed.

[0025] The workpiece 2 is further pushed in and enters the workpiece processing section 4 of the deburring device 1, which is coaxial with the recesses 24a, 25a, 26a, and 27a of the joints 24, 25, 26, and 27. The workpiece processing section 4 has a shaft member 12 that rotates the small diameter brush 11 and the large diameter brush 10, which are concentric with each other, integrally. In other words, the shaft member 12 is coaxial with the recesses 24a, 25a, 26a, and 27a. Therefore, when the workpiece 2 is guided by the joints 24, 25, 26, and 27 and enters the workpiece processing section 4, the small diameter brush 11 enters the inside of the workpiece 2 and abuts against the inner surface of the workpiece 2, and the large diameter brush 10 abuts against the outer surface of the workpiece 2.

[0026] When the workpiece 2 is further pressed in and the workpiece machining section 4 is pressed in, the guide mechanism 3 integrated with the workpiece machining section 4 moves in the axial direction of the shaft member 12 along the two rails 8, 9. At the same time, the switching mechanism 6 integrated with the guide mechanism 3 also rotates. The switching mechanism 6 is rotatable relative to a fixed shaft 19 extending vertically provided adjacent to the guide mechanism 3, and converts the linear motion of the guide mechanism 3 into rotational motion. In other words, as the guide mechanism 3 moves along the rails 8, 9, the switching mechanism 6 rotates clockwise around the fixed shaft 19 in a top view.

[0027] Thereafter, the guide mechanism 3 is pushed into a predetermined position, that is, the guide mechanism 3 reaches the forward end, which is the end of the rails 8 and 9, and the operation of the workpiece processing unit 4, the guide mechanism 3, and the switching mechanism 6 stops. At the same time, the switching mechanism 6 rotates about the fixed shaft 19, and the pressing unit 21 presses the switch 18 provided on the brush operating unit 5. When the switch 18 is pressed, the brush operating unit 5 is energized and operates, causing the shaft member 12 of the workpiece processing unit 4 to rotate. In other words, the large diameter brush 10 and the small diameter brush 11 rotate, and burrs on the inner and outer surfaces of the workpiece 2 are removed.

[0028] When the deburring of the workpiece 2 is completed, the workpiece 2 is retreated and pulled out of the workpiece processing unit 4 in the axial direction, and the brush operating unit 5 stops. In other words, the force pushing the workpiece 2 decreases and the workpiece 2 gradually moves away from the forward end of the guide mechanism 3, causing the switching mechanism 6 to rotate counterclockwise in a top view due to the elastic force of the spring 20 provided in the switching mechanism 6. As a result, the pressing part 21 moves away from the switch 18, the current supply to the brush operating unit 5 stops, and the operation of the workpiece processing unit 4 stops. In accordance with such a movement of the switching mechanism 6, the guide mechanism 3 and the workpiece processing unit 4 also gradually retreat according to the position of the workpiece 2 in the axial direction. Then, when the workpiece 2 is no longer being pushed in, the workpiece processing unit 4, the guide mechanism 3, and the switching mechanism 6 each return to their initial positions shown in FIG. 1(a), and the deburring of the workpiece 2 is completed.

[0029] As described above, in the deburring device 1 according to the embodiment of the present invention, the deburring device 1 operates by pushing the work 2 into the work processing unit 4, and the burrs generated on the inner and outer surfaces of the work 2 can be removed. In other words, the work processing unit 4 operates by the operator simply pushing the work 2 into the deburring device 1, and the burrs generated on the inner and outer surfaces of the work 2 can be removed. Therefore, since there is little difference in processing accuracy due to the operator, deburring can be performed with stable high accuracy. In addition, since there is no need to fix the work 2 in a vice or the like, the work 2 is not deformed due to fixing the work 2. Furthermore, since the work support mechanism 23 can suppress the work 2 from moving unintentionally, it is possible to easily maintain the state in which the work 2 is pushed in. And, since the movement of the work 2 and the operation of pushing it into the deburring device 1 are performed by the operator, the entire device can be simplified and the control of the device can also be simplified compared to the case where a mechanism for moving the work 2 is provided. In other words, according to the deburring device 1 of the embodiment of the present invention, by allocating tasks that each person is good at, such as mechanical work and manual work, it is possible to achieve stable, highly accurate deburring and a compact device.

[0030] Although the embodiment of the present invention has been described above, the present invention is not limited to the above-mentioned examples, and may be modified as appropriate within the scope of achieving the object of the present invention. For example, when the workpiece 30 has a short axial length and cannot be set on the workpiece support mechanism 23, a cylindrical dummy shaft 31 may be used to ensure the axial length. Specifically, as shown in FIG. 4, a straight joint 32 is used to connect the workpiece 30 to a dummy shaft 31 having an outer diameter and an inner diameter similar to those of the workpiece 30. The straight joint 32 has an inner diameter slightly smaller than the inner diameters of the workpiece 30 and the dummy shaft 31. The straight joint 32 is provided with ball plungers 33 and 34 at both ends in the axial direction, respectively, so as to be positioned radially opposite each other. The workpiece 30 and the dummy shaft 31 are formed with fitting holes 35 and 36 into which the tips of the ball plungers 33 and 34 enter. Therefore, by inserting the straight joint 32 into the workpiece 30 and the dummy shaft 31 by a predetermined length, the ball plungers 33, 34 and the fitting holes 35, 36 are fitted together, restricting the relative movement in the axial direction between the workpiece 30 and the dummy shaft 31. With this configuration, even if the workpiece 30 is short, it is possible to ensure a portion to be held by the worker and a portion to be set by the workpiece support mechanism 23, thereby obtaining the same effect as that described above.
