[0008] Hereinafter, a storage case according to an embodiment will be described in detail with reference to the drawings.
[0009] In order to facilitate understanding of the invention, the position, size, shape, range, etc. of each component shown in the following drawings may not represent the actual position, size, shape, range, etc. Therefore, the present invention is not necessarily limited to the position, size, shape, range, etc. disclosed in the drawings, etc. In the embodiments, elements expressed in the singular form include the plural form unless otherwise clearly indicated in the context. <First embodiment> FIG. 1 is a diagram showing a storage case according to the first embodiment. The storage case 100 of the first embodiment has a storage section 1 and a plate-shaped member 2 .
[0010] The storage unit 1 is a hollow rectangular parallelepiped having one side with a rectangular opening 11. This storage unit 1 can store at least a part of a thin electronic device (object to be stored) therein.
[0011] Examples of materials constituting the storage section 1 include resins (e.g., phenolic resins) and metals that can protect the electronic device from external impact. The surface of the storage section 1 may be covered with synthetic leather, genuine leather, etc. Examples of electronic devices include, but are not limited to, portable terminal devices such as notebook computers and tablets.
[0012] Magnets are arranged on the bottom surface 1a and side surface 1b of the storage section 1. FIG. 1 shows magnet 1b1 arranged on side surface 1b. In this embodiment, magnet 1b1 is arranged between storage section 1 and leather covering the surface of storage section 1, and its arrangement position is indicated by diagonal lines. This magnet 1b1 is an example of a fixing member for plate-shaped member 2. The shape, number and arrangement position of magnet 1b1 are not limited to those shown in the figure. The same applies to the shape, number and arrangement position of magnets arranged on bottom surface 1a. In addition to magnets, various fixing members such as Velcro (registered trademark) may be provided.
[0013] The material of the plate-shaped member 2 is not particularly limited as long as it can protect the device from external impact, and examples of the material include resin (e.g., phenolic resin), metal, etc. In addition, the surface of the plate-shaped member 2 in this embodiment is covered with genuine leather.
[0014] The plate-shaped member 2 has a plurality of folds 21a to 21f. The plate-shaped member 2 can be folded into mountain folds and valley folds along the folds 21a to 21f. Hereinafter, the portions of the plate-shaped member 2 partitioned by the folds 21a to 21f will be referred to as portions 22a to 27a, respectively.
[0015] Magnets 22d1 and 22g1 are disposed in the portions 22d and 22g, respectively. The shape, number and arrangement of the magnets 22d1 and 22g1 are not limited to those shown in the drawings. Note that the magnet 1b1 and the magnets 22d1 and 22g1 may be omitted in some drawings. In this embodiment, the plate-shaped member 2 and the storage section 1 are formed from the same material, and the side surface 1c of the storage section 1 is common to part of the portion 22a of the plate-shaped member 2.
[0016] When the storage section 1 and the plate-like member 2 are formed from separate members, the long side of the surface forming the end of the plate-like member 2 may be connected to the long side of the bottom surface of the opening 11. Also, the bottom surface 1 of the storage section 1 may be common to part of the surface forming the end of the plate-like member 2, and the remaining surface of the storage section 1 may be formed from a separate member from the plate-like member 2. FIG. 2 is a diagram illustrating the other side of the storage case according to the embodiment. FIG. 2 shows the storage case 100 shown in FIG. 1 turned upside down.
[0017] The other side of storage case 100 shown in Fig. 2 is the side opposite to the side on which the electronic device is located when stored. In the following description, the side of storage case 100 on which the electronic device is stored is also referred to as the "storage side," and the side of storage case 100 opposite to the side on which the electronic device is located when stored is also referred to as the "front side." In other words, Fig. 2 illustrates the front side of storage case 100.
[0018] Support parts 31, 32, and 33 that serve to support the ends of the electronic device are provided on the surface of the storage case 100. The shape, number, and arrangement of the support parts are not limited to those shown in the figure. The support parts 31, 32, and 33 in this embodiment are made of leather, and one end part 31a, 32a, and 33a are sewn to the plate-like member 2. The stitches are indicated by dotted lines in FIG. 3. The other end parts of the support parts 31, 32, and 33 are not fixed to the plate-like member 2. FIG. 3 is a diagram illustrating an example of a plate-like member folded along a crease. When storing the electronic device, the folds 21c and 21d are folded so that the front side faces outward, thereby forming a space that can protect the electronic device. Next, a first use example of the storage case according to the embodiment will be described. The first use example is, for example, when an electronic device is stored in the storage case when the electronic device is carried. 4 and 5 are diagrams illustrating a first example of use of the storage case according to the embodiment.
[0019] As shown in Fig. 4, when storing electronic device 50, the user stores the longitudinal end of electronic device 50 in storage section 1. Then, as shown in Fig. 5, the user folds plate-shaped member 2 along creases 21c and 21d so that the front surface of storage case 100 faces outward. This causes the front and back surfaces of electronic device 50 to be covered and protected by plate-shaped member 2. Although it is shifted in Fig. 5, by moving portion 22g to a position where almost the entire portion overlaps side surface 1b, magnet 22g1 and magnet 1b1 are attracted to each other, and portion 22g is fixed to side surface 1b. Next, a second example of use of the storage case according to the embodiment will be described. 6 to 9 are diagrams illustrating a second example of use of the storage case according to the embodiment. Note that support portions 31, 32, and 33 are omitted from illustration in Figs. 6 to 9.
[0020] The user stands the storage unit 1 up by folding the storage unit 1 along the crease 21a with the storage surface facing outward. This opens the opening 11 upward (vertically upward). The user then grasps the plate-like member 2 and slides it under the bottom surface 1a of the storage unit 1. This causes the magnet (not shown) located at the bottom 1a to attract the magnet 22d1, and the portion 22d is fixed to the bottom 1a. In addition, the side surface 1c of the storage unit 1 and the portions 22b and 22c form a triangular prism-shaped support portion with openings on the front and back sides of the page.
[0021] Next, as shown in FIG. 7, the user folds the portion 22g around the crease 21f as the center of rotation, and moves the portion 22g closer to the storage unit 1 while rotating it counterclockwise. This causes the portion 22f to also rotate counterclockwise around the crease 21e as the center of rotation. The user abuts the portion 22g against the side surface 1b as shown in FIG. 8. By overlapping the portion 22g with the side surface 1b, the magnet 22g1 and the magnet 1b1 are attracted to each other, and the portion 22g is fixed to the side surface 1b. In addition, the side surface 1b of the storage unit 1 and the portions 22e, 22f, and 22g form a triangular prism-shaped support portion with openings on the front and back surfaces of the page. The storage unit 1 is supported by the triangular prism-shaped portions formed on the side surfaces 1b and 1c. In the following description, the storage case 100 having this shape is called a "freestanding storage case 100."
[0022] As shown in Fig. 9, a user can insert an end of the electronic device 50 into the opening 11. The storage unit 1 with the electronic device 50 inserted therein is stably supported by the triangular prism shapes formed on both sides of the storage unit 1. Therefore, for example, when the freestanding storage case 100 is installed on a bookshelf or the like and the electronic device 50 is placed in the storage unit 1, the electronic device 50 can be stored on the bookshelf without taking up a relatively small amount of space. In addition, when other books are placed on the sides of the storage case, the electronic device 50 placed in the freestanding storage case 100 can be prevented from tilting or falling over even when the books are removed.
[0023] As shown in FIG. 6, side surface 1c and portions 22b and 22c of storage section 1 form a triangular prism shape with openings on the front and back sides of the page, so that even in this state storage section 1 can be stably supported by the triangular prism shape formed on one side of storage section 1. Next, a third example of use of the storage case according to the embodiment will be described. The third example of use is when, for example, electronic equipment is used. FIG. 10 is a diagram illustrating a third example of use of the storage case according to the embodiment. The electronic device 50 has a keyboard surface 51 on which a keyboard (not shown) and a touch pad are arranged, and a display surface 52.
[0024] The user stands the storage unit 1 up by folding the storage unit 1 along the crease 21a with the storage surface facing outward, as in the second example of use. This opens the opening 11 upward. The user then grasps the plate-like member 2 and slides it under the bottom surface 1a of the storage unit 1. This causes the magnet (not shown) located at the bottom 1a to attract the magnet 22d1, and the portion 22d is fixed to the bottom 1a. In addition, the side surface 1c, portions 22b, and 22c of the storage unit 1 form a triangular prism shape with the front and back surfaces of the page open. In this state, the user inserts the end of the keyboard surface 51 of the electronic device 50 into one of the support portions 31 to 33 (support portion 32 in FIG. 10) and places the bottom of the electronic device 50 on the crease 21a. This causes the electronic device 50 to be supported exclusively by the crease 21a and the support portion 32. Since the keyboard surface 51 can be supported at a predetermined angle, the user can easily type on the keyboard placed on the keyboard surface 51. The user can adjust the angle of the keyboard surface 51 by selecting one of the support parts 31 to 33 into which the keyboard surface 51 of the electronic device 50 is inserted. In FIG. 10, the bottom of electronic device 50 is placed at fold 21 a, but it may be placed at opening 11.
[0025] As described above, the storage case 100 of the embodiment has a storage section 1 with a rectangular opening 11 for storing at least a part of the electronic device 50, and a plate-like member 2 with one end portion connected to the long side of the opening 11 and having a plurality of folds 21a-21f, which can cover at least the front and back surfaces of the electronic device 50 when a part of the electronic device 50 is stored in the storage section 1, and by folding the folds 21a-21f, a triangular prism-shaped support portion is formed on at least one side of the storage section 1 to support the storage section 1 in a self-supporting state with the opening 11 open vertically upward. Therefore, the electronic device can be stored in a self-supporting state even in a small space. Specifically, the support portion is formed by one surface of the storage portion 1 and two surfaces of the plate-like member 2 that is folded at the crease, for a total of three surfaces. In the embodiment, the triangular prism-shaped support parts are formed on both sides of the storage part 1. Therefore, the storage part 1 can be stably supported.
[0026] In the embodiment, in the second use example, the magnet (not shown) located on the bottom 1a and the magnet 22d1 are attracted to each other at the portion 22d, which is fixed to the bottom 1a. The magnet 22g1 and the magnet 1b1 are attracted to each other at the portion 22g, which is fixed to the side surface 1b. Therefore, the self-supporting storage case 100 can be easily formed. Also, the self-supporting storage case 100 can be prevented from losing its shape.
[0027] <Second embodiment> Next, a storage case according to a second embodiment will be described. The storage case of the second embodiment will be described below, focusing on the differences from the storage case 1 of the first embodiment described above, and a description of the similarities will be omitted. FIG. 11 is a diagram illustrating a storage case according to the second embodiment.
[0028] The storage case of the second embodiment is different from that of the first embodiment in that a plurality of magnets are arranged on one or both of the surfaces of the portion 22b and the portion 22f.
[0029] 11, a plurality of magnets 22f1 are arranged in the portion 22f. In the present embodiment, ten magnets 22f1 are arranged in the portion 22f at predetermined intervals. The shape, number and arrangement position of the magnets 22f1 are not limited to those shown in the figure. FIG. 12 is a diagram illustrating an example of how the storage case according to the second embodiment is used.
[0030] A user of the storage case 100a of the second embodiment tilts the self-supporting storage case 100a so that the portion 22b touches the floor surface (for example, a desk), whereby the portion 22f forms an inclined surface.
[0031] A user can fix the structure 60 to the magnet 22f1. A metal (not shown) that can be attached to the magnet 22f1 or a magnet (not shown) is disposed on the back surface of the structure 60. The structure 60 is not particularly limited, but examples thereof include a case for wireless earphones, a smartphone, a watch-type wearable device (smart watch), a timer, and the like. By placing the storage case 100a on a table and fixing the structure 60 to the magnet 22f1, the area around the table can be kept tidy. According to the storage case 100a of the second embodiment, the same effects as those of the storage case 100 of the first embodiment can be obtained. Furthermore, the storage case 100a of the second embodiment can provide the user with a wider variety of usage modes.
[0032] Although the storage case of the present invention has been described above based on the illustrated embodiment, the present invention is not limited thereto, and the configuration of each part can be replaced with any configuration having a similar function. In addition, any other configuration or process can be added to the present invention. Furthermore, the present invention may be a combination of any two or more configurations (features) of the respective embodiments described above. [Explanation of symbols]
