Description

[Technical field]

[0001] The present invention relates to a composition for preventing diarrhea, a composition for regulating the intestines, a composition for deodorization, and methods for producing them, as well as a method for preventing diarrhea, a method for regulating the intestines, and a method for deodorization. [Background technology]

[0002] Activated carbon is used in the production of brewed alcohol. For example, in the production of sake, activated carbon is used in the clarification filtration of sake. The activated carbon used in this clarification filtration (hereinafter sometimes referred to as "sake processing carbon") is used as compost or fertilizer. However, because sake processing carbon is purchased at a very low cost, a challenge remains to find ways to utilize it more effectively.

[0003] It has been reported that sake-processed charcoal has pol-inhibitory activity (see, for example, Non-Patent Document 1).

[0004] On the other hand, it is known that when livestock eat charcoal, it reduces the odor of feces (see, for example, Non-Patent Document 2), prevents diarrhea (see, for example, Non-Patent Document 3), and helps them gain weight (see, for example, Non-Patent Document 4).

[0005] As described above, there is a need for new methods of utilizing activated carbon used in the production of brewed alcohol. In addition, diarrhea prevention agents given to livestock are required to be highly effective, but the effectiveness of existing feed charcoal is not sufficient, and there is a need to develop new, effective and useful materials. The composition for preventing diarrhea can be suitably produced by the method for producing a composition for preventing diarrhea of the present invention. The composition for preventing diarrhea of the present invention will be described below together with a method for producing the composition for preventing diarrhea of the present invention.

[0012] <Method of producing a composition for preventing diarrhea> The method for producing the composition for preventing diarrhea of the present invention is a method for producing the composition for preventing diarrhea of the present invention, which includes at least a treatment step and further includes other steps as necessary.

[0013] - Treatment process - The treatment step is a step of treating the fermented liquid produced during the production of brewed alcohol with activated carbon. The treatment step can be carried out in the same manner as the clarification step carried out to remove unnecessary components contained in brewed sake. For example, in the sake production process, the step of clarifying sake after pressing corresponds to the treatment step. By the above-mentioned treatment step, components that are not required in the production of brewed alcoholic beverages can be adsorbed onto the activated carbon.

[0014] The brewed alcoholic beverage is not particularly limited and can be appropriately selected depending on the purpose. Examples of the brewed alcoholic beverage include sake, mirin, plum wine, wine, and beer.

[0015] Examples of components that are unnecessary in the production of brewed alcohol include flavin and melanin pigments that cause coloring of alcoholic beverages, and proteins that cause protein turbidity (white blur).

[0016] The treatment method is not particularly limited and can be selected appropriately depending on the purpose. For example, the activated carbon is added to the liquid in the fermentation product generated in the production process of the brewed alcohol, stirred, and then allowed to stand. The liquid in the fermented product generated in the process of producing the brewed alcoholic beverage can be prepared by subjecting the fermented product to solid-liquid separation.

[0017] The activated carbon is not particularly limited, and any activated carbon used in the production of brewed alcoholic beverages can be appropriately selected depending on the purpose. The activated carbon used may be a commercially available product, or may be prepared by a known method.

[0020] The stirring conditions are not particularly limited and can be appropriately selected depending on the purpose.

[0021] The period for which the mixture is allowed to stand is not particularly limited and can be appropriately selected depending on the purpose. For example, the period may be overnight.

[0022] In addition, in the treatment step, a filter aid or a sediment remover may be further used in addition to the activated carbon.

[0023] The filter aid is not particularly limited, and can be appropriately selected from those used in the production of brewed alcoholic beverages depending on the purpose, and examples thereof include plant-derived cellulose, diatomaceous earth, etc. These may be used alone or in combination of two or more kinds. The filter aid may be a commercially available product, or may be prepared by a known method. The amount of the filter aid used is not particularly limited and can be appropriately selected depending on the purpose.

The slag-removing agent may be a commercially available product, or may be prepared by a known method. The amount of the scum-reducing agent used is not particularly limited and can be appropriately selected depending on the purpose.

[0025] -Other processes- The other steps in the method for producing the composition for preventing diarrhea are not particularly limited and can be appropriately selected depending on the purpose, so long as they do not impair the effects of the present invention. Examples of such steps include a preparation step of preparing a liquid in the fermented product produced in the production step of the brewed alcohol, and a recovery step of recovering the activated carbon after the treatment step.

[0026] --Preparation process-- The preparation step is a step of separating a fermented product resulting from a process for producing brewed alcoholic beverages into a liquid and a solid, and preparing the liquid from the fermented product resulting from the process for producing brewed alcoholic beverages.

[0027] For example, if the brewed alcoholic beverage is sake, the preparation step corresponds to the separating step in the sake production process, which is a step in which the fermented product produced in the production process, moromi, is separated into liquid sake and solid sake lees to prepare sake.

[0028] The method for the preparation step is not particularly limited and can be appropriately selected depending on the purpose. For example, a method using an automatic press, a bag hanging method, a tank squeezing method, and the like can be mentioned.

The filter aid was attached to the filter cloth of the filter. To the 300 kL of sake that had been transferred to the pressurized tank, 300 kg of activated carbon (Kujaku Tokusen YV-Toku, manufactured by Kawakita Chemical Co., Ltd.) was added, thoroughly stirred, and allowed to stand overnight. The mixture was then filtered using a filter to separate the sake from the activated carbon, and the activated carbon that had adsorbed components contained in the liquid in the fermentation product produced during the production process of brewed sake (hereinafter sometimes referred to as "sake-treated carbon") was recovered.

[0071] The results of measuring the nutritional components of the sake-processed charcoal obtained above are shown below. Moisture was analyzed using the drying method, crude protein using the Kjeldahl method, crude fat using the diethyl ether extraction method, crude fiber using the static method, and crude ash using the direct ashing method. · Moisture ··· 51% by mass · Crude protein (CP) ··· 10% by mass · Crude fat (EE) ··· 1% by mass Crude fiber (CF) 27% by mass · Coarse ash (CA) ··· 1% by mass Nitrogen-free soluble matter (NFE) 10% by mass

[0072] <Evaluation> -Test Example 1- The sake-treated charcoal produced in Production Example 1 was given to cows to examine its effects in preventing diarrhea and regulating the intestines. Six cows per group were fed a mixed feed containing 1% of the weight of the sake-treated charcoal, and the animals were fed the mixed feed for four months. The animals were monitored for the occurrence of diarrhea during the feeding period (diarrhea prevention effect) and daily fecal scores (0: normal, 1: loose stool, 2: diarrhea, 3: water-soluble diarrhea) (intestinal regulation effect) were calculated and average values were calculated. The results are shown in Table 1.

[0073] [Table 1]

[0074] The results in Table 1 show that administration of sake-treated charcoal improved the number of days with diarrhea and fecal scores compared to normal feeding.

[0075] -Test Example 2- The sake-treated charcoal produced in Production Example 1 was given to cows to examine its effects in preventing diarrhea and regulating the intestines. Activated carbon or the above-mentioned sake-treated carbon was added to the mixed feed in an amount equivalent to 1% of the weight of the mixed feed, and the mixture was fed to six bulls in one group for four months. The presence or absence of diarrhea during the feeding period (diarrhea prevention effect) and the daily fecal score (0: normal, 1: soft stool, 2: diarrhea, 3: water-soluble diarrhea) (intestinal regulation effect) were measured and the average value was calculated. The results are shown in Table 2.

[0076] [Table 2]

[0077] The results in Table 2 show that administration of sake-treated charcoal improved the number of days since the onset of diarrhea and the fecal score compared to administration of activated charcoal.

[0078] -Test Example 3- The sake-treated charcoal produced in Production Example 1 was given to cows to investigate its effect of suppressing the odor of cow feces (deodorizing effect). The above-mentioned sake-treated charcoal was added to the mixed feed of Tajima cattle (N=2), Wagyu cattle (N=1), and crossbred cattle (N=2) in an amount equivalent to 0.25% of the weight of the mixed feed, and the feed was continuously fed for one month. 100 g of fresh feces was collected in a bottle (Eye-Boy PP wide-mouth bottle 2L, AS ONE Co., Ltd.), and the concentration of odorous components (ammonia, hydrogen sulfide, mercaptans) in the bottle was measured with a detector tube. The results are shown in Table 3.

[0079] [Table 3]

[0080] The results in Table 3 show that feeding sake-treated charcoal at 0.25% of the feed weight reduced hydrogen sulfide and mercaptans derived from feces by more than 25% and 54%, respectively, regardless of the breed of cow.

[0081] -Test Example 4- The sake-treated charcoal produced in Production Example 1 was given to cows to investigate its effect of suppressing the odor of cow feces (deodorizing effect). For Tajima cattle (N=4), the above-mentioned sake-treated charcoal was added to the mixed feed in an amount equivalent to 1% of the weight of the mixed feed, and the feed was continuously fed for one month. The results are shown in Table 4.

[0082] [Table 4]

[0083] The results in Table 4 show that feeding sake-treated charcoal at 1% of the feed weight reduced feces-derived hydrogen sulfide by 88% and mercaptans by 93%.

[0084] (Production Example 2) A composition for preventing diarrhea (a composition for regulating the intestines or a composition for deodorizing) was produced as described below using pressed sake (ordinary sake, manufactured by Hakutsuru Sake Brewery Co., Ltd.) as the liquid in the fermented product produced during the production process of brewed alcohol. 30 kg of a filter aid (Cerish, manufactured by Kawakita Chemical Co., Ltd.) was suspended in water, and then filtered using a filter press, and the filter aid was attached to the mesh of the filter press. To 200 kL of the sake after the above-mentioned pressing process, 200 kg of activated carbon (Kujaku Tokusen YV-Toku, Kawakita Chemical Co., Ltd.) was added, followed by 60 kg of a lees-removing agent (Coporock, Otsuka Foods Co., Ltd.) and stirring thoroughly for 1 hour to react with the proteins in the sake. Next, 10 kg of a lees-removing agent (Sakelite, Musashino Chemical Laboratory Co., Ltd.) was added, and the mixture was left to stand overnight, after which it was filtered with a filter to separate the sake from the activated carbon, and the sake-treated carbon was collected.

[0085] The nutritional components of the sake-treated charcoal obtained above were measured in the same manner as in Production Example 1. The results are shown below. · Moisture ··· 52% by mass · Crude protein (CP) ··· 6% by mass · Crude fat (EE) ··· 2% by mass Crude fiber (CF) 11% by mass · Crude ash content (CA) ··· 6% by mass Nitrogen-free soluble matter (NFE) 23% by mass

[0086] The sake-treated charcoal obtained in Production Example 2 was evaluated in the same manner as Production Example 1, and it was confirmed that, like the sake-treated charcoal in Production Example 1, it suppressed diarrhea and reduced the odor of feces.
