Abstract

To provide a display device capable of suppressing deterioration in display quality when a refresh rate is switched.SOLUTION: A display device includes: a display panel 10 having a liquid crystal panel 11 and a backlight 12 provided behind the liquid crystal panel; and a controller 2 for controlling luminance of the backlight. When a refresh rate is switched at the time of display of an image on the display panel according to image signals, the controller increases or decreases the luminance of the backlight in such a manner that a change in luminance of the display panel before and after the switching relative to the image signals with the same gradation is in a predetermined range.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

Claims

1.
