Description

Technical Field

[0001] The present invention relates to an oral composition whose fragrance permeates the nose.

Background Art

[0002] In recent years, oral compositions such as dentifrice compositions have been in increasing demand not only for removing oral dirt and preventing diseases such as dental caries and periodontal diseases but also as a means of enhancing emotional values such as feeling good and calm. Such emotional values are affected by the autonomic nervous system, and as methods of regulating the autonomic nervous system, for example, aromatherapy such as taking a deep breath or smelling citrus scents is known.

[0003] In addition, oral compositions generally contain cooling agents such as menthol, camphor, and cineole. It is considered that by feeling a cooling sensation and a feeling that the fragrance permeates the nose, the autonomic nervous system is stimulated and the emotional value is enhanced.

[0004] As technologies for enhancing the cooling sensation, oral compositions containing p-menthane-carboxamides (Patent Document 1), dentifrice compositions containing N-(4-cyanomethylphenyl)-2-isopropyl-5-methylsiloxane carboxamide (Patent Document 2), and technologies for imparting a cooling sensation by dissolving sugar alcohols (Patent Document 3) have been disclosed, but there is room for improvement in the feeling that the fragrance permeates the nose.

Advantages of the Invention

[0009] According to the present invention, it is possible to provide an oral composition that has a feeling of fragrance escaping to the nose during use, has persistence thereof, has no bitterness, and has a good taste.

Modes for Carrying Out the Invention

[0010] Hereinafter, the present invention will be described in detail. The oral composition of the present invention contains at least one selected from (A) fragrance components having a marine ozone-based fragrance, (B) a cooling agent, and (C) at least one selected from xanthan gum and water-soluble cellulose derivatives, and is an oral composition in which the mass ratio represented by (B) / (A) is 1,000 to 1,000,000.

[0011] [Component (A)] The component (A) of the present invention is a fragrance component having a marine ozone-based fragrance, and can be used alone or in combination of two or more. Fragrances are classified into fragrance notes, such as citrus, fruit, floral, spice, woody, marine ozone, etc. The marine ozone type is a fragrance having a transparency and refreshing feeling reminiscent of water, air, wind, etc., and having no cooling feeling.

[0012] Examples of the fragrance component having a marine ozone-based fragrance include components having an aldehyde group or a ketone group, and components having an aldehyde group are preferred. Examples of the component having an aldehyde group include heliotropal (α-methyl-1,3-benzodioxole-5-propanal: formula (1)), floralozone (4-ethyl-α,α-dimethylbenzene propanal: formula (2)), cyclamen aldehyde (3-(4-isopropylphenyl)isobutyraldehyde: formula (3)), melonal (2,6-dimethyl-5-heptenal: formula (4)), etc. Examples of the component having a ketone group include, for example, the following carone (7-methyl-2H-1,5-benzodioxepin-3(4H)-one). Among them, heliotropal, floralozone, cyclamen aldehyde, melonal, etc. are preferred.

[0013] From the viewpoint of obtaining a feeling that the flavor penetrates the nose better, the amount of component (A) is preferably 0.000001% by mass or more, more preferably 0.000002% by mass or more, and still more preferably 0.000003% by mass or more in the oral composition. From the viewpoint of further suppressing bitterness and improving the taste, it is preferably 0.001% by mass or less, more preferably 0.003% by mass or less, and still more preferably 0.0005% by mass or less.

[0014] [Component (B)] Component (B) of the present invention is a cooling agent and can be used alone or in combination of two or more. By blending component (B), a feeling of coolness can be felt, and a feeling that the fragrance penetrates the nose can be obtained. Examples of the cooling agent include menthol, camphor, cineole, carvone, spearmint oil, peppermint oil, mint oil, eucalyptus oil, etc.

From the viewpoint of further suppressing bitterness and improving the taste, it is preferably 1.2% by mass or less, more preferably 1.1% by mass, and still more preferably 1.0% by mass or less.

[0016] The mass ratio (content mass ratio) represented by (B) / (A) is 1,000 to 1,000,000. If this ratio is less than 1,000, the feeling of escaping through the nose is inferior, and its persistence cannot be obtained. On the other hand, if it exceeds 1,000,000, the feeling of escaping through the nose is inferior, a bitter taste is felt, and the taste is inferior. When the components (A) and (B) are used alone, no bitter taste is felt, but when the components (A) and (B) are used in combination, although a bitter taste is produced, by setting the mass ratio within the range of (B) / (A) above, the bitter taste is suppressed and a good taste can be obtained. From the viewpoint of further improving the feeling of escaping through the nose and its persistence, the above ratio is preferably 1,500 to 300,000, and more preferably 1,500 to 30,000.

[0017] [Component (C)] The component (C) of the present invention is at least one selected from xanthan gum and water-soluble cellulose derivatives, and can be used alone or in combination of two or more. By blending the component (C), the feeling of escaping through the nose, its persistence, and the bitter taste can be suppressed, and the taste can be improved. Examples of the water-soluble cellulose derivative include sodium carboxymethyl cellulose, hydroxyethyl cellulose, hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose, and the like.

[0019] The mass ratio (content mass ratio) represented by (C) / (A) is preferably 100 or more, more preferably 200 or more, from the viewpoint of the weak refreshing feeling and further obtaining the feeling of the flavor escaping through the nose. From the viewpoint of further suppressing the bitter taste and improving the taste, it is preferably 500,000 or less, more preferably 250,000 or less.

[0020] The mass ratio (content mass ratio) represented by (B) / (C) is preferably 0.5 or more, more preferably 1.5 or more, from the viewpoint of having a weak cooling sensation and obtaining a more nose-escaping fragrance. From the viewpoint of further suppressing bitterness and improving taste, it is preferably 10 or less, more preferably 5 or less.
