Abstract
Description
Technical Field
[0001] The present invention relates to a cosmetic that realizes usability such as when nylon powder is blended with a specific combination of oils.
Background Art
[0002] Spherical resin powders such as nylon and acrylic polymers are often blended into cosmetics in anticipation of effects such as correcting skin irregularities and imparting smoothness. The forms of cosmetics containing spherical resin powders include aqueous and oily cosmetics, ranging from liquid to emulsion or cream cosmetics to solid cosmetics. In solid powder cosmetics, it is also used to improve impact resistance based on the elasticity of the resin powder.
[0003] Nylon powder is known to be excellent in heat resistance and solvent resistance and contribute to the improvement of the usability (texture) of the blended cosmetics. For example, cosmetics with a high content of nylon powder have a "strong sense of stickiness" during application, and after application, the skin irregularities are filled and a "smooth after-skin" is felt. After about 10 minutes from application, a "matte feeling" becomes prominent.
[0004] On the other hand, in recent years, the impact of microplastic beads (MPB) on the marine environment has been a problem, and there is a tendency to demand cosmetics that do not contain MPB. There is also an opinion that nylon powder corresponds to MPB. Therefore, cosmetics that do not contain MPB have been proposed (Patent Documents 1 and 2).
[0005] However, conventional technologies including Patent Documents 1 and 2 used inorganic powders such as silica, mica, or synthetic phlogopite as alternative components for MBP.

Problems to be Solved by the Invention
[0007] An object of the present invention is to provide a cosmetic that can achieve usability similar to that of a cosmetic containing nylon powder without blending another powder as a substitute.
Means for Solving the Problems
[0008] As a result of intensive studies to solve the above problems, the present inventor has found that a combination of three specific types of oil components can provide usability similar to that of a cosmetic containing nylon powder, and has completed the present invention.
[0009] That is, the present invention (A) 0.2 to 0.9% by mass of hydrogenated polyisobutene; (B) 0.03 to 0.3% by mass of aminopropyldimethicone; and (C) provides a cosmetic characterized by containing 0.3 to 3% by mass of a dicarboxylic acid ester.
[0010] Furthermore, the present invention (A) Hydrogenated polyisobutene; (B) Aminopropyldimethicone; and (C) consisting of a dicarboxylic acid ester, provides a usability adjuster for cosmetics, characterized in that the mass ratio of (A):(B):(C) is 7 to 30:1 to 10:10 to 100.
Effects of the Invention
[0011] Even if the cosmetic of the present invention is not formulated with nylon powder in an amount sufficient to exhibit its unique usability, or even if it does not contain nylon powder at all, it can achieve usability (such as a stopping feeling, smoothness, and a matte feeling) as if it contains nylon powder. That is, the combination of the oil components (A) hydrogenated polyisobutene, (B) aminopropyldimethicone, and (C) dicarboxylic acid ester can be used as a usability modifier that can impart the same usability as when nylon powder is formulated in a cosmetic.
Mode for Carrying Out the Invention
[0012] <Cosmetic> The cosmetic of the present invention contains (A) hydrogenated polyisobutene, (B) aminopropyldimethicone, and (C) dicarboxylic acid ester as essential components.
[0013] (A) Hydrogenated polyisobutene The "hydrogenated polyisobutene" (INCI name: Hydrogenated Polyisobutene; hereinafter also referred to as "Component A") in the cosmetic of the present invention is a branched aliphatic hydrocarbon widely used as a non-aqueous thickener and emollient in cosmetics. Hydrogenated polyisobutene (Component A) is not only a homopolymer of isobutene, but also a heavy liquid isoparaffin (name for external drug ingredients display; INCI name: Heavy Liquid Isoparaffin) and a light liquid isoparaffin (name for external drug ingredients display; INCI name: Light Liquid Isoparaffin), which are hydrocarbons having side chains obtained by copolymerizing isobutene and n-butene and then hydrogenating.
[0014] As the hydrogenated polyisobutene (Component A) in the cosmetic of the present invention, a heavy liquid isoparaffin having a viscosity of 250,000 to 500,000 mPa·s at 30°C is preferably used. In this specification, the "viscosity" is a value measured using a B-type viscometer at 30°C.
[0015] The blending amount of the hydrogenated polyisobutene (Component A) blended in the cosmetic of the present invention is 0.2 to 0.9% by mass, preferably 0.3 to 0.8% by mass, based on the total amount of the cosmetic. When the blending amount is less than 0.2% by mass, a "sticky feeling" such as when nylon powder is blended cannot be obtained, and when the blending amount exceeds 0.9% by mass, the "sticky feeling" tends to become too strong.
[0016] (B) Aminopropyldimethicone The "aminopropyldimethicone" (INCI name: Aminopropyl Dimethicone; hereinafter also referred to as "Component B") in the cosmetic of the present invention is an amino-modified silicone having a structure represented by the following general formula (1).
[0017]
Chem.
[0018] As the aminopropyldimethicone (Component B) in the cosmetic of the present invention, it is preferable to use a highly polymerized aminopropyldimethicone (alias: highly polymerized dimethylsiloxane·methyl(aminopropyl)siloxane copolymer). When blending aminopropyldimethicone in the cosmetic of the present invention, it may be blended as a mixture of aminopropyldimethicone and a solvent (for example, silicone oil such as low-viscosity methylpolysiloxane).
[0019] The blending amount of the aminopropyldimethicone (Component B) blended in the cosmetic of the present invention is 0.03 to 0.3% by mass, preferably 0.05 to 0.15% by mass, in terms of the actual content of aminopropyldimethicone, based on the total amount of the cosmetic. When the blending amount is less than 0.03% by mass, the effects of nylon powder blending such as non-stickiness, smoothness, or a matte feeling after application may not be obtained, and when the blending amount exceeds 0.3% by mass, a "sticky feeling" tends not to occur.
[0020] (C) Dicarboxylic acid ester The "dicarboxylic acid ester" (also referred to as "Component C") in the cosmetic of the present invention is a monoester or diester of a dicarboxylic acid having two carboxyl groups and an aliphatic alcohol, preferably a diester.
[0021] As the dicarboxylic acid constituting the dicarboxylic acid ester, those having carboxyl groups at both ends of an alkylene group having 2 to 10 carbon atoms are preferred, and optionally, a hydroxyl group may be present at the α-position carbon. Specific examples include succinic acid, glutaric acid, adipic acid, pimelic acid, suberic acid, azelaic acid, sebacic acid, malic acid, etc. As the aliphatic alcohol forming the ester, preferably, a linear or branched monohydric alcohol having 3 to 22 carbon atoms is preferred.
[0022] Examples of the dicarboxylic acid ester (Component C) of the present invention include distearyl malate, distearyl succinate, diisobutyl adipate, diethoxyethyl succinate, diisopropyl sebacate, di-2-heptylundecyl adipate, di-2-ethylhexyl sebacate, 2-hexyldecyl adipate, 2-ethylhexyl succinate, etc.
[0023] It is preferable that the ester oil used as the dicarboxylic acid ester (Component C) of the present invention has a viscosity of 1,600 to 2,200 mPa·s at 30°C. In particular, it is preferable to use distearyl malate.
[0024] The blending amount of the dicarboxylic acid ester (Component C) blended in the cosmetic of the present invention is 0.3 to 3% by mass, preferably 0.5 to 2% by mass, based on the total amount of the cosmetic. If the blending amount is less than 0.3% by mass, a "stiff feeling" may not be obtained, and if it exceeds 3% by mass, stickiness may occur and smoothness may tend to be lost.
[0025] The cosmetic of the present invention is an epoch-making invention that realizes the usability that was conventionally achieved by blending nylon powder, not with a powder component but with a specific combination of oils. Therefore, the cosmetic of the present invention includes an aspect that does not contain nylon powder. However, since the usability provided by nylon powder is ensured by the above oils (Component A, Component B, and Component C), the cosmetic of the present invention may contain nylon powder in a blending amount that does not affect the usability of the cosmetic. The cosmetic of the present invention is not particularly limited, but for example, it may be blended with nylon powder in an amount of about 1% by mass or less, or 0.5% by mass or less based on the total amount of the cosmetic.
[0026] Note that "microplastic beads (MPB)", which have been regarded as a problem in recent years from the perspective of environmental protection, are narrowly defined as "synthetic water-insoluble solid plastic particles with a size of less than 5 mm that are intentionally blended into personal care products for the purpose of keratin removal and cleaning". According to this definition, nylon powder does not necessarily correspond to MPB, but since it is water-insoluble like the organic polymer spherical particles and powders treated with a polymerized surface treatment agent that have been conventionally blended for the purpose of improving the usability of cosmetics, there is also an opinion that it corresponds to "MPB" in a broad sense. Since the desired usability is obtained with the combination of oils (Component A, Component B, and Component C) in the cosmetic of the present invention, it is possible to minimize the blending amount of organic polymer spherical particles containing nylon powder.
[0027] By blending the above oils (Component A, Component B, and Component C), the cosmetic of the present invention can exhibit usability similar to that when nylon powder is blended even without containing nylon powder. In other words, the present invention can be understood as the use of the above combination of oils (Component A, Component B, and Component C) for adjusting (improving) the usability of cosmetics.
[0028] Viewing the above use (application) from another aspect, the present invention (A) hydrogenated polyisobutene; (B) aminopropyldimethicone; and (C) a dicarboxylic acid ester, and An invention related to a usability modifier for cosmetics, characterized in that the mass ratio of (A):(B):(C) is 7 to 30:1 to 10:10 to 100.
[0029] In the usability modifier of the present invention, (A) hydrogenated polyisobutene, (B) aminopropyldimethyl silicone, and (C) dicarboxylic acid ester are as described for the above cosmetics.
[0030] The mass ratio of (A):(B):(C) in the usability modifier of the present invention is 7 to 30:1 to 10:10 to 100, preferably 6 to 16:1 to 3:10 to 40. When the usability modifier of the present invention is blended into cosmetics, the blending amount is preferably the same as the blending amount in which nylon powder was conventionally blended. For example, in the case of cream cosmetics, it is preferably 0.5 to 5% by mass, more preferably 0.8 to 3% by mass, etc.
[0031] The cosmetics into which the usability modifier of the present invention is blended, that is, the cosmetics of the present invention, are not particularly limited as long as they are cosmetics into which nylon powder was conventionally blended. For example, it can be made into cosmetics in the form of emulsions, creams, gels, solids (oil-based solids or powder solids), etc. Among them, in water-in-oil type emulsified cosmetics or oil-in-water type emulsified cosmetics, the effect of the usability modifier of the present invention can be significantly confirmed. In particular, it was difficult to highly blend nylon powder in oil-in-water type emulsified cosmetics, but by using the usability modifier of the present invention, it becomes possible to impart a unique usability similar to that of blended nylon powder.
Examples
[0032] Specific examples are given below to explain the present invention in more detail, but the present invention is not limited to the following examples. Also, the blending amounts in the following examples indicate mass% based on the total amount of the cosmetics unless otherwise specified.
[0033] A cream cosmetic having the formulation described in Table 1 below was prepared. In Table 1, “(*) usability component” means a component that affects the usability of the cosmetic, such as nylon powder and the usability adjuster of the present invention. The details are described in Tables 2 to 5.
[0034] For each of the prepared cosmetics, “Reference Example 1” in which nylon powder was blended as a “usability component” was used as a reference (STD), and a professional panel evaluated the usability caused by the nylon powder. The evaluation items and criteria are as follows.
[0035] (1) “Stiff feeling” Feeling a strong stiff feeling when the cosmetic is applied and conforms to the skin (2) “Absence of stickiness” Not feeling stickiness on the skin after applying the cosmetic (3) “Smoothness” Feeling smoothness on the skin after applying the cosmetic (4) “Matt feeling” Feeling a “matt feeling” on the skin 10 minutes after applying the cosmetic
[0036] Regarding the above items (1) to (4), the evaluation was made according to the following criteria. A: Equivalent to “Reference Example 1” B: Feeling stronger compared to “Reference Example 1” C: Feeling weaker compared to “Reference Example 1” The evaluation results for each cosmetic are described in Tables 2 to 5.

[0042] As shown in Table 2 and Table 3, Examples 1 to 11 containing (A) hydrogenated polyisobutene, (B) aminopropyldimethyl silicone, and (C) dicarboxylic acid ester in predetermined compounding amounts had the same usability as Reference Example 1 even without containing nylon powder.
[0043] On the other hand, in Comparative Examples 2 to 4 that did not contain either or both of (A) hydrogenated polyisobutene and (B) aminopropyldimethyl silicone, the same "stopping feeling" as in Reference Example 1 could not be obtained, or they lacked "smoothness" and "matte feeling". On the other hand, in Comparative Example 1 where the compounding amount of (A) hydrogenated polyisobutene exceeded the predetermined range, the result was that the "stopping feeling" was too strong (Table 4).
[0044] Also, in Comparative Examples 5 to 11 where powders other than nylon were compounded instead of the usability modifier of the present invention, the usability by nylon powder could not be reproduced (Table 5).
