Here, the exercise assist device 10 may also be referred to as a push bar, a push-up bar, or the like.
[0014] The exercise assist device 10 is a device that is placed on the ground surface 15 and gripped by the user when the user performs an exercise. Here, an example of the exercise is push-ups or handstands. The exercise assist device 10 mainly includes a gripping portion 11, a first grounding portion 12, and a second grounding portion 13. Further, the exercise assist device 10 further includes a first straight portion 21, a second straight portion 22, a third straight portion 23, a first curved portion 24, and a second curved portion 25. Further, the first straight portion 21, the second straight portion 22, the third straight portion 23, the first curved portion 24, and the second curved portion 25 are composed of a curved rod-shaped member 20. The rod-shaped member 20 is, for example, a metal rod having a tubular shape.
[0015] The gripping portion 11 is the first straight portion 21 and extends linearly along the front-rear direction. The gripping portion 11 is the portion that the user grips during exercise.
[0016] The first grounding part 12 is the second straight part 22, which extends linearly along the front-rear direction, is disposed below the first straight part 21, and is disposed on the left side, which is one side along the left-right direction. The first grounding part 12 is a part that contacts the ground surface 15 during movement.
[0017] The second grounding part 13 is the third straight part 23, which extends linearly along the front-rear direction, is disposed below the first straight part 21, and is disposed on the right side, which is the other side along the left-right direction. The second grounding part 13 is a part that contacts the ground surface 15 during movement.
[0018] The first bending part 24 bends so as to connect the first straight part 21 and the second straight part 22.
[0019] The second bending part 25 bends so as to connect the first straight part 21 and the third straight part 23.
[0020] In the movement assist device 10, the lengths of the first grounding part 12 and the second grounding part 13 along the front-rear direction are longer than that of the gripping part 11. By doing so, along the front-rear direction, since the first grounding part 12 and the second grounding part 13 are longer than the gripping part 11, when performing movement, the user can stably grip the gripping part 11.
[0021] In the front-rear direction, both ends of the first grounding part 12 and the second grounding part 13 are disposed outside the gripping part 11. Specifically, the front end part of the first grounding part 12 is disposed on the front side of the front end part of the gripping part 11, and the rear end part of the first grounding part 12 is disposed on the rear side of the rear end part of the gripping part 11. Also, the front end part of the second grounding part 13 is disposed on the front side of the front end part of the gripping part 11, and the rear end part of the second grounding part 13 is disposed on the rear side of the rear end part of the gripping part 11. Also, when the length of the gripping part 11 is L11, the length of the first grounding part 12 is L12, and the length of the second grounding part 13 is L13, L12 and L13 are substantially equal. Also, L12 and L13 are longer than L11.
[0022] Here, the function of the exercise assist device 10 when performing a push-up, which is an example of an exercise using the exercise assist device 10 shown in FIG. 1A and the like, will be described.
[0023] First, as shown in FIGS. 1B and 1C, the exercise assist device 10 is placed on the ground contact surface 15. The lower sides of the first ground contact portion 12 and the second ground contact portion 13 of the exercise assist device 10 come into contact with the ground contact surface 15. The first ground contact portion 12 and the second ground contact portion 13 have a substantially circular cross-sectional shape. Therefore, even when the first ground contact portion 12 and the second ground contact portion 13 contact the ground contact surface 15, the ground contact surface 15 is prevented from being damaged thereby.
[0024] Next, the user performs a predetermined exercise while gripping the gripping portion 11 of the exercise assist device 10. Examples of the exercise include push-ups and handstands. Here, when the user exercises using both hands, two exercise assist devices 10 are used corresponding to the left and right hands. By performing a push-up using the exercise assist device 10, the user can sink their chest downward, so that the exercise effect obtained by the push-up can be made remarkable.
[0025] Here, in the exercise assist device 10 of the present embodiment, in the front-rear direction, since the first ground contact portion 12 and the second ground contact portion 13 are longer than the gripping portion 11, the exercise assist device 10 firmly supports the user's hand. Therefore, the user can perform the exercise stably and effectively.
[0026] FIG. 2A is a top view showing an exercise assist device 10 according to another form. FIG. 2B is a side view showing the gripping portion 11 and the second ground contact portion 13 of the exercise assist device 10 according to another form. FIG. 2C is a side view showing the gripping portion 11 and the first ground contact portion 12 of the exercise assist device 10 according to another form.
[0027] The configuration of the exercise assist device 10 shown in FIGS. 2A to 2C is basically the same as that shown in FIGS. 1A to 1C, and is different in that it has a cylindrical member 31 for the gripping portion to a cylindrical member 33 for the second ground contact portion.
[0028] In the exercise assist device 10, the gripping portion 11 is a cylindrical member 31 for the gripping portion into which the first straight portion 21 is inserted. The first grounding portion 12 is a cylindrical member 32 for the first grounding portion into which the second straight portion 22 is inserted. The second grounding portion 13 is a cylindrical member 33 for the second grounding portion into which the third straight portion 23 is inserted.
[0029] The cylindrical member 31 for the gripping portion, the cylindrical member 32 for the first grounding portion, and the cylindrical member 33 for the second grounding portion are made of a material softer than the rod-shaped member 20, such as a foamed resin or the like. Since the cylindrical member 31 for the gripping portion is made of a soft material, when the user grips the cylindrical member 31 for the gripping portion, the user's hand can be protected. Since the cylindrical member 32 for the first grounding portion and the cylindrical member 33 for the second grounding portion are made of a soft material, the cylindrical member 32 for the first grounding portion and the cylindrical member 33 for the second grounding portion come into contact with the ground surface 15 during use. Therefore, it is possible to prevent the exercise assist device 10 from damaging the ground surface 15.
[0030] Also, in the front-rear direction, by arranging both end portions of the first grounding portion 12 and the second grounding portion 13 outside the gripping portion 11, the gripping portion 11 can be stably supported by the first grounding portion 12 and the second grounding portion 13.
[0031] Referring to FIG. 2A, in the front-rear direction, both end portions of the cylindrical member 32 for the first grounding portion and the cylindrical member 33 for the second grounding portion are arranged outside the cylindrical member 31 for the gripping portion. Specifically, in the front-rear direction, let the length of the cylindrical member 31 for the gripping portion be L21, the length of the cylindrical member 32 for the first grounding portion be L22, and the length of the cylindrical member 33 for the second grounding portion be L23. In this case, L22 and L23 are substantially the same. Also, L22 and L23 are longer than L21. Further, the front end portions of the cylindrical member 32 for the first grounding portion and the cylindrical member 33 for the second grounding portion are arranged in front of the front end portion of the cylindrical member 31 for the gripping portion. Also, the rear end portions of the cylindrical member 32 for the first grounding portion and the cylindrical member 33 for the second grounding portion are arranged behind the rear end portion of the cylindrical member 31 for the gripping portion. By doing so, in the front-rear direction, since both end portions of the second cylindrical member and the third cylindrical member are arranged outside the gripping portion 11, the gripping portion 11 can be stably supported by the first grounding portion 12 and the second grounding portion 13.
[0032] Here, the function of the exercise assist device 10 when performing a push-up, which is an example of exercise using the exercise assist device 10 shown in FIG. 2A and the like, will be described.
[0033] First, as shown in FIGS. 2B and 2C, the exercise assist device 10 is placed on the ground contact surface 15. The lower sides of the first ground contact portion cylindrical member 32 and the second ground contact portion cylindrical member 33 of the exercise assist device 10 come into contact with the ground contact surface 15. The first ground contact portion cylindrical member 32 and the second ground contact portion cylindrical member 33 are made of a flexible material having a substantially circular cross-sectional shape. Therefore, even when the first ground contact portion cylindrical member 32 and the second ground contact portion cylindrical member 33 contact the ground contact surface 15, the ground contact surface 15 is prevented from being damaged thereby.
[0034] Next, the user performs a predetermined exercise while gripping the grip portion cylindrical member 31. Examples of the exercise include a push-up and a handstand. Here, when the user exercises using both hands, two exercise assist devices 10 are used corresponding to the left and right hands.
[0035] In the exercise assist device 10 of the present embodiment, in the front-rear direction, since the first ground contact portion cylindrical member 32 and the second ground contact portion cylindrical member 33 are longer than the grip portion cylindrical member 31, the exercise assist device 10 firmly supports the user's hand.
