AI Technical Summary
In multi-cell scheduling scenarios, the specification of which NDI/RV field is used for SCell dormancy indication when multiple PDSCHs are scheduled is unclear, and the number of bits required for SCell dormancy indication may be insufficient due to limited Type-2 fields in DCI format 1_3.
The solution involves specifying the NDI/RV fields for SCell dormancy indication by setting the number of bits in DCI format 1_3 to correspond to the maximum or actual number of PDSCHs scheduled, and using the NDI/RV fields for the first or last PDSCH, or additional fields notified by RRC, MAC CE, or DCI, to ensure sufficient bits for SCell dormancy indication.
This approach clarifies which PDSCH's NDI/RV field is used for SCell dormancy indication and ensures the required number of bits, enabling effective multi-cell scheduling and SCell dormancy indication even when multiple PDSCHs are scheduled.

Abstract
Description
[Technical Field]
[0001] The present invention relates to a terminal, a base station, and a communication method in a wireless communication system. [Background technology]
[0002] In 3GPP (registered trademark) (3rd Generation Partnership Project) Rel-18, DCI format 0_3 / 1_3 that enables simultaneous scheduling of multiple cells (multi-cell scheduling) has been introduced as one of the functions related to Multi-carrier enhancements (MCE) technology.
[0003] 3GPP Rel-19 is considering relaxing the restrictions on multi-cell scheduling in Rel-18, enabling co-scheduling of cells with different SCS / carrier types, and scheduling multiple PDSCHs / PUSCHs per cell.
[0004] DCI format 1_3 has a function called SCell dormancy indication case 2 that enables a field that is not originally used for SCell dormancy indication to be assigned for SCell dormancy indication under certain conditions. [Prior art documents] [Non-patent literature]
[0005] [Non-Patent Document 1] 3GPP TS 38.300 V18.2.0(2024-06) [Non-patent document 2] 3GPP TS 38.401 V18.2.0(2024-06) Summary of the Invention [Problem to be solved by the invention]
[0006] However, it is not specified which NDI / RV field for which PDSCH is used for SCell dormancy indication when multiple PDSCHs are scheduled for a cell to which SCell dormancy indication case 2 is applied. Furthermore, although a DCI Type-2 field needs to be allocated to a cell used for SCell dormancy indication case 2, there is a possibility that the number of bits required for SCell dormancy indication may be insufficient due to the limited number of Type-2 fields in DCI format 1_3. [Means for solving the problem]
[0007] The terminal in this embodiment comprises: a receiving unit that receives control information from a base station using a format used for scheduling a downlink shared channel in each of a plurality of cells; and a control unit that controls reception of the downlink shared channel based on the control information, wherein the format is provided for each of the plurality of cells and includes a predetermined field corresponding to the downlink shared channel to be scheduled, the predetermined field in at least one cell of the plurality of cells is used for a secondary cell pause instruction, and when two or more downlink shared channels are scheduled in the at least one cell, the predetermined field used for the secondary cell pause instruction corresponds to the first or last downlink shared channel of the two or more downlink shared channels. [Effects of the Invention]
[0008] According to this embodiment, even when multiple PDSCHs are scheduled in multi-cell scheduling, it is possible to clarify which PDSCH's NDI / RV field is to be used for SCell dormancy indication. [Brief explanation of the drawings]

[0010] The present embodiment will be described below with reference to the drawings. Note that the embodiment described below is an example, and the embodiment to which the present invention is applied is not limited to the following embodiment.
[0011] The wireless communication system of this embodiment operates using existing technology. The existing technology is, for example, a wireless communication technology based on a communication standard such as the 3GPP standard. The existing technology is, for example, NR (New Radio), but is not limited to existing NR. Unless otherwise specified, the term "NR" used in this specification has a broad meaning including NR (5G) and subsequent systems (for example, 6G).
[0012] In the present embodiment described below, terms used in existing LTE, such as SS (Synchronization signal), PSS (Primary SS), SSS (Secondary SS), PBCH (Physical broadcast channel), PRACH (Physical random access channel), PDCCH (Physical Downlink Control Channel), PDSCH (Physical Downlink Shared Channel), PUCCH (Physical Uplink Control Channel), and PUSCH (Physical Uplink Shared Channel), are used. This is for convenience of description, and similar signals, functions, etc. may be called by other names. The above-mentioned terms in NR are referred to as SS, PSS, SSS, PBCH, PRACH, etc. without any particular distinction from LTE.
[0013] In this embodiment, the duplex method may be a time division duplex (TDD) method, a frequency division duplex (FDD) method, or other methods (for example, flexible duplex, etc.).
[0014] In this embodiment, when radio parameters etc. are "configured," it may mean that a predetermined value is pre-configured, or that radio parameters notified from the base station 10 or the terminal 20 are set.
[0015] Fig. 1 is a diagram showing an example of the configuration of a wireless communication system in this embodiment. As shown in Fig. 1, the wireless communication system in this embodiment includes a base station 10 and a terminal 20. Although Fig. 1 shows one base station 10 and one terminal 20, this is an example, and there may be a plurality of each.
[0016] The base station 10 is a communication device that provides one or more cells and performs wireless communication with the terminal 20. The physical resources of a wireless signal are defined in the time domain and the frequency domain. The time domain may be defined by the number of Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) symbols, and the frequency domain may be defined by the number of subcarriers or the number of resource blocks. The base station 10 transmits a synchronization signal and system information to the terminal 20. The synchronization signal is, for example, a PSS and an SSS. The system information is, for example, transmitted via a PBCH and is also referred to as broadcast information. The synchronization signal and system information may be referred to as an SSB (SS / PBCH block). As shown in FIG. 1 , the base station 10 transmits control signals or data to the terminal 20 in a downlink (DL) and receives control signals or data from the terminal 20 in an uplink (UL). Both the base station 10 and the terminal 20 are capable of transmitting and receiving signals by performing beamforming. Furthermore, both the base station 10 and the terminal 20 are capable of applying MIMO (Multiple Input Multiple Output) communication to the DL or UL. In addition, both the base station 10 and the terminal 20 may communicate via a secondary cell (SCell: Secondary Cell) and a primary cell (PCell: Primary Cell) using CA (Carrier Aggregation). Furthermore, the terminal 20 may communicate via a primary cell of the base station 10 and a primary secondary cell group cell (PSCell: Primary SCG Cell) of another base station 10 using DC (Dual Connectivity).
[0017] The base station 10 is, for example, a gNodeB (gNB) in NR.
[0018] The terminal 20 is a communication device equipped with a wireless communication function, such as a smartphone, a mobile phone, a tablet, a wearable terminal, or an M2M (Machine-to-Machine) communication module. As shown in Fig. 1, the terminal 20 receives control signals or data from the base station 10 via DL and transmits control signals or data to the base station 10 via UL, thereby utilizing various communication services provided by the wireless communication system. The terminal 20 also receives various reference signals transmitted from the base station 10 and measures the propagation path quality based on the reception results of the reference signals.
[0019] In the following description, unless otherwise specified or unless a different meaning is clear from the context, " / " means "and / or."
[0020] Multi-carrier enhancement (MCE) is a technology for efficiently utilizing multiple frequency bands (carriers). 3GPP Rel-18 introduced DCI format 0_3 / 1_3, which enables simultaneous scheduling of multiple cells (multi-cell scheduling), as one of the MCE-related features.
[0021] In multi-cell scheduling in Rel-18, the multiple cells that can be scheduled with one DCI (DCI format 0_3 / 1_3) are limited to cells with the same SCS / carrier type, and the number of PDSCH / PUSCHs that can be scheduled per cell is limited to one.
[0022] In 3GPP Rel-19, studies are being conducted to relax these restrictions and to enable co-scheduling of cells with different SCS / carrier types and scheduling of multiple PDSCHs / PUSCHs per cell.
[0023] In the DCI format, when there are multiple schedule cells, the DCI fields are classified into the following types:
[0024] Type-1A field: A single field that indicates information common to all co-schedule cells Type-1B field: A single field that indicates individual information for each co-schedule cell via a joint indication. Type-1C field: A single field that indicates information in only one of the co-schedule cells Type-2 fields: individual fields for each co-schedule cell Type-3 fields: fields common to each of the co-schedule cells or individual fields for each subgroup, which can vary depending on explicit settings DCI format 1_3 includes an NDI (New Data Indicator) field and an RV (Redundancy Version) field. The NDI field and RV field in DCI formats 0_3 / 1_3 are independently assigned to each cell and provide information necessary for PDSCH scheduling and HARQ processing.
[0025] Conventionally, in Rel-18, the number of bits in the NDI field of DCI format 1_3 changes dynamically depending on the number of PDSCHs to be scheduled, while the number of bits in the RV field is a fixed value determined by the number of configured RV bits and the maximum number of schedulable PDSCHs.
[0026] In Rel-19, it is being considered to set the number of bits in the NDI / RV field of DCI format 1_3 in accordance with the maximum number of PDSCHs that can be scheduled more flexibly or the number of PDSCHs that are actually scheduled.
[0027] On the other hand, DCI format 1_3 has a function called "SCell dormancy indication case 2" that allocates fields that are not originally used for SCell dormancy indication (secondary cell dormancy indication) to a cell for SCell dormancy indication under specific conditions (for example, when there is no HARQ-ACK request or retransmission instruction and no resource allocation is performed in a specific cell). This function enables efficient transmission of control information by reusing specific fields in DCI format 1_3 for SCell dormancy indication (for example, Modulation and coding scheme (MCS), New data indicator (NDI), Redundancy version (RV), HARQ process number (HPN), and Antenna port(s) fields).
[0028] Here, when multiple PDSCHs are scheduled for a cell used for SCell dormancy indication case 2, it is unclear which NDI / RV field of DCI format 1_3 for which PDSCH to use for SCell dormancy indication, which may result in a risk of not being able to properly execute multi-cell scheduling or SCell dormancy indication case 2.
[0029] Furthermore, a Type-2 field of DCI (a separate field in which information is set for each co-schedule cell) needs to be assigned to the cells used for SCell dormancy indication case 2. However, because the number of Type-2 fields in DCI format 1_3 is limited, the Type-2 field cannot be used for SCell dormancy indication, and there is a risk that the number of bits required for SCell dormancy indication will be insufficient.
[0030] According to the present embodiment, when SCell dormancy indication case 2 is applied in multi-cell scheduling, even when multiple PDSCHs are scheduled, it is made clear which PDSCH's NDI / RV field is to be used for the SCell dormancy indication. Furthermore, according to the present embodiment, the number of bits required for the SCell dormancy indication is secured.
[0031] The wireless communication system in this embodiment supports SCell dormancy indication case 2 and multi-cell scheduling using DCI format 1_3. That is, in this embodiment, two or more PDSCHs can be scheduled for a cell in which a field of DCI format 1_3 is used for SCell dormancy indication.
[0032] Examples of this embodiment will be described below.
[0033] (Example 1-1) When multiple-cell scheduling is performed using DCI format 1_3, the NDI / RV fields available for SCell dormancy indication are not specified in DCI format 1_3. According to a first embodiment, the NDI / RV fields available for SCell dormancy indication in DCI format 1_3 are specified.
[0034] As a premise of Example 1-1, the number of bits of the NDI / RV field of DCI format 1_3 may be the maximum number of PDSCHs that can be scheduled in a cell that corresponds to DCI format 0_3 / 1_3. That is, in Example 1, in DCI format 1_3, the number of bits of the NDI / RV field is set to correspond to the maximum number of cells that can be scheduled for each cell.
[0035] According to Example 1-1, it may be specified which NDI / RV field for a PDSCH is used for the SCell dormancy indication (Option 1). For example, the NDI / RV field available for the SCell dormancy indication may be specified by a specification (such as the 3GPP standard) to which the wireless communication system conforms. The terminal 20 may identify the NDI / RV field to be used for the SCell dormancy indication based on the specification.
[0036] For example, it may be specified that the NDI / RV field for the first PDSCH of the cell is used for SCell dormancy indication (Option 1-1).
[0037] Fig. 2 is a diagram showing an example of an NDI field used for SCell dormancy indication when multi-cell scheduling is performed in this embodiment. Fig. 2 shows an example in which DCI included in CC#1 (start point of the arrow) schedules PDSCHs #1-#4 of CC#1 and CC#2 to resources indicated by the end points of the arrows, respectively. The resources indicated by solid lines at the end points of the arrows in Fig. 2 indicate resources used for PDSCH scheduling, and the resources indicated by dashed lines indicate resources not used for PDSCH scheduling. Fig. 2 shows an example in which the NDI field of CC#2 is used for SCell dormancy indication, as a premise. These premise also apply to Figs. 3-8, which will be described later.
[0038] FIG. 2 shows, as an example of Option 1-1, that the NDI field for the first PDSCH#1 in CC#2 is used for SCell dormancy indication.
[0039] For example, it may be specified that the NDI / RV field for the last (or final) PDSCH of a cell is used for the SCell dormancy indication (Option 1-2). In the example of Fig. 2, the NDI field for the last (or final) PDSCH#4 in the cell (CC#2) is used for the SCell dormancy indication.
[0040] According to Example 1-1, the NDI / RV field for which PDSCH is used for SCell dormancy indication may be notified to the terminal 20 by using a predetermined signal from the network (base station 10) (Option 2). The predetermined signal may be, for example, at least one of RRC, MAC CE, and DCI.
[0041] (Example 1-2) As a premise of Example 1-2, the number of bits in the NDI / RV field may be set corresponding to the maximum number of cells that can be scheduled for each cell, or the number of bits in the NDI / RV field may be set to the number of cells that are actually scheduled.
[0042] According to Example 1-2, the NDI / RV field not used for SCell dormancy indication may be used for scheduling the PDSCH.
[0043] For example, when the number of bits of the NDI / RV field is set to the maximum number of cells that can be scheduled for each cell, among the blocks not used for PDSCH scheduling, the NDI / RV field for the first PDSCH may be used for SCell dormancy indication, or the NDI / RV field for the last PDSCH may be used for SCell dormancy indication.
[0044] 3 shows an example in which two PDSCHs (PDSCHs #1 and #2) are scheduled in CC #2, and PDSCHs #3 and #4 are not scheduled. As shown in FIG. 3, of the two NDI fields not used for PDSCH scheduling, the NDI field for the first PDSCH #3 is used for SCell dormancy indication.
[0045] For example, when the number of bits in the NDI / RV field is set to the number of cells actually scheduled, a block used for SCell dormancy indication may be set in addition to the number of PDSCHs notified by the TDRA (Time Domain Resource Allocation) field.
[0046] In the example of Fig. 4, two PDSCHs (PDSCH #1 and PDSCH #2) are scheduled in CC #2, and the number of bits in the NDI field is set to the number of cells actually scheduled. As shown in Fig. 4, in the NDI field corresponding to CC #2, an NDI field corresponding to one PDSCH used for SCell dormancy indication is added to the NDI field for the number of cells actually scheduled, "2".
[0047] The specification specifies that the condition for "SCell dormancy indication case 2" to apply is that for one or more cells in the scheduled cell set, the "One-shot HARQ-ACK request" field is not present or set to "0", the "HARQ-ACK retransmission indicator" field is not present or set to "0", and all bits of the corresponding block of the frequency domain resource allocation field are set to 0 for resource allocation type 0, set to 1 for resource allocation type 1, or set to 0 or 1 for dynamic switching resource allocation type.
[0048] For example, in DCI format 0_3 / 1_3, the Antenna port field set as the MCS / HPN / Type-2 field is interpreted only for the scheduled PDSCH and may not be used for the SCell dormancy indication.
[0049] If a cell used for SCell dormancy indication does not meet the conditions of the above existing specifications (the value of the FDRA field is valid) and the value of the TDRA field is a specific value, part of the NDI / RV field of the cell may be used for SCell dormancy indication.
[0050] For example, as shown in "Example 1" of Figure 5, if the values of the TDRA field are all '0' or '1', PDSCHs for the entries notified in the TDRA field are scheduled, and the NDI / RV fields not used for PDSCH scheduling may be used for SCell dormancy indication.
[0051] For example, as shown in "Example 2" of Figure 5, if the value of the TDRA field is greater than or less than a specific value, PDSCHs for the entries notified in the TDRA field are scheduled, and the NDI / RV fields that are not used for scheduling PDSCHs may be used for SCell dormancy indication.
[0052] If the conditions of the above existing specifications are not met (the value of the FDRA field is valid) and the SCell dormancy indication field exists and has a specific value, part of the NDI / RV field of the cell may be used for the SCell dormancy indication.
[0053] In the embodiment 1-2, the cell used for the SCell dormancy indication may be determined based on a combination with other DCI fields, not limited to the FDRA field.
[0054] (Examples 1-3) As shown in FIG. 6, when SCell dormancy notification is performed using SCell dormancy indication case 2 using DCI format 1_3, an NDI / RV field for one PDSCH may be provided.
[0055] Example 2 As a premise of the second embodiment, the number of bits in the NDI / RV field may be set to the maximum number of cells that may be scheduled for each cell, or the number of bits in the NDI / RV field may be set to the number of cells that are actually scheduled.
[0056] According to the second embodiment, NDI / RV fields for multiple PDSCHs may be used for SCell dormancy indication.
[0057] The number of blocks 'X' of the NDI / RV field used for the SCell dormancy indication may be notified by any one or a combination of multiple of RRC / MAC CE / DCI.
[0058] A new RRC parameter may be defined that specifies the number of blocks 'X' of the NDI / RV field used for SCell dormancy indication.
[0059] The number of blocks 'X' in the NDI / RV field used for the SCell dormancy indication may be determined from the value of the TDRA field (the number of entries).
[0060] The number of blocks 'X' in the NDI / RV field used for the SCell dormancy indication may be the maximum number of PDSCHs that may be scheduled.
[0061] For example, if the number of bits in the NDI / RV field is set to the maximum number of cells that may be scheduled for each cell, the NDI / RV fields for the first 'X' PDSCHs (1<=X<=8) may be used for SCell dormancy indication.
[0062] In the example of Figure 8, when the number of bits in the NDI field is set to the maximum number of cells that may be scheduled for each cell, the NDI fields for PDSCHs #1 and #2, which are the first '2' PDSCHs of CC #2, are used for SCell dormancy indication.
[0063] For example, if the number of bits in the NDI / RV field is set to the maximum number of cells that can be scheduled for each cell, the NDI / RV field for the last 'X' PDSCHs (1<=X<=8) may be used for SCell dormancy indication.
[0064] When the number of bits in the NDI / RV field is set to the number of cells actually scheduled, blocks for 'X' PDSCHs (1<=X<=8) for SCell dormancy indication may be set.
[0065] In the example of FIG. 9, when the number of bits in the NDI field is set to the number of cells that are actually scheduled, the NDI field for '2' PDSCHs added in CC#2 is used for SCell dormancy indication.
[0066] Example 2 may be combined with Example 1-2.
[0067] According to the above-described embodiment, when SCell dormancy indication case 2 is applied in multi-cell scheduling, even when multiple PDSCHs are scheduled, it is possible to clarify the NDI / RV field for which PDSCH to use for SCell dormancy indication. Furthermore, it is possible to ensure the number of bits required for SCell dormancy indication.
[0068] (Device configuration) Next, a description will be given of an example of the functional configuration of the base station 10 and the terminal 20 that execute the processes and operations described above. These functional blocks (components) are realized by any combination of at least one of hardware and software. Furthermore, the method for realizing each functional block is not particularly limited. That is, each functional block may be realized using one device that is physically or logically coupled, or may be realized using two or more devices that are physically or logically separated and connected directly or indirectly (for example, by wire, wirelessly, etc.). The functional block may be realized by combining software with the one device or the multiple devices.

For example, a functional block (component) that performs transmission is called a transmitting unit or transmitter. As mentioned above, there are no particular limitations on how these functions are implemented.
[0078] For example, the base station 10, the terminal 20, etc. according to an embodiment of the present disclosure may function as a computer that performs processing of the wireless communication method of the present disclosure. [0110] In this specification, a specific operation that is described as being performed by the base station 10 may also be performed by its upper node in some cases. In a network consisting of one or more network nodes having the base station 10, it is clear that various operations performed for communication with the terminal 20 may be performed by at least one of the base station 10 and another network node other than the base station 10 (such as, but not limited to, an MME or an S-GW). Although the above example illustrates a case where there is one other network node other than the base station 10, the other network node may be a combination of multiple other network nodes (such as an MME and an S-GW).
[0111] The information, signals, etc. described in the present disclosure may be output from a higher layer (or a lower layer) to a lower layer (or a higher layer), or may be input / output via multiple network nodes.
[0112] Input and output information may be stored in a specific location (for example, memory) or may be managed using a management table. Input and output information may be overwritten, updated, or added to. Output information may be deleted. Input information may be sent to another device.
[0113] In the present disclosure, the determination may be made based on a value represented by one bit (0 or 1), a Boolean value (true or false), or a numerical comparison (e.g., comparison with a predetermined value).
[0114] Software shall be construed broadly to mean instructions, instruction sets, code, code segments, program code, programs, subprograms, software modules, applications, software applications, software packages, routines, subroutines, objects, executable files, threads of execution, procedures, functions, etc., whether referred to as software, firmware, middleware, microcode, hardware description language, or otherwise.
[0115] Software, instructions, information, etc. may also be transmitted or received over a transmission medium. For example, if software is transmitted from a website, server, or other remote source using wired technologies (such as coaxial cable, fiber optic cable, twisted pair, Digital Subscriber Line (DSL)), and / or wireless technologies (such as infrared, microwave), then these wired and / or wireless technologies are included within the definition of transmission media.
[0116] The information, signals, etc. described in this disclosure may be represented using any of a variety of different technologies. For example, data, instructions, commands, information, signals, bits, symbols, chips, etc. that may be referred to throughout the above description may be represented by voltages, currents, electromagnetic waves, magnetic fields or magnetic particles, optical fields or photons, or any combination thereof.
[0117] Note that terms explained in this disclosure and terms necessary for understanding this disclosure may be replaced with terms having the same or similar meanings. For example, at least one of a channel and a symbol may be a signal (signaling). Furthermore, a signal may be a message. Furthermore, a component carrier (CC) may be called a carrier frequency, a cell, a frequency carrier, etc.
[0118] As used in this disclosure, the terms "system" and "network" are used interchangeably.
[0119] Furthermore, the information, parameters, etc. described in the present disclosure may be expressed using absolute values, may be expressed using relative values from a predetermined value, or may be expressed using other corresponding information. For example, a radio resource may be indicated by an index.
[0120] The names used for the above-described parameters are not intended to be limiting in any way. Furthermore, the mathematical expressions using these parameters may differ from those explicitly disclosed in this disclosure. The various channels (e.g., PUCCH, PDCCH, etc.) and information elements may be identified by any suitable names, and therefore the various names assigned to these various channels and information elements are not intended to be limiting in any way.
[0121] In the present disclosure, terms such as "base station (BS)," "radio base station," "base station device," "fixed station," "NodeB," "eNodeB (eNB)," "gNodeB (gNB)," "access point," "transmission point," "reception point," "transmission / reception point," "cell," "sector," "cell group," "carrier," and "component carrier" may be used interchangeably. Base stations may also be referred to by terms such as macrocell, small cell, femtocell, and picocell.
[0122] A base station can accommodate one or more (e.g., three) cells. When a base station accommodates multiple cells, the overall coverage area of the base station can be divided into multiple smaller areas, and each smaller area can be provided with communication service by a base station subsystem (e.g., a small indoor base station (RRH: Remote Radio Head)). The term "cell" or "sector" refers to a part or the entire coverage area of a base station and / or base station subsystem that provides communication service within this coverage.
[0123] In the present disclosure, the base station transmitting information to a terminal may be interpreted as the base station instructing the terminal to control or operate based on the information.
[0124] In this disclosure, the terms "Mobile Station (MS)," "user terminal," "User Equipment (UE)," "terminal," etc. may be used interchangeably.
[0125] A mobile station may also be referred to by those skilled in the art as a subscriber station, mobile unit, subscriber unit, wireless unit, remote unit, mobile device, wireless device, wireless communication device, remote device, mobile subscriber station, access terminal, mobile terminal, wireless terminal, remote terminal, handset, user agent, mobile client, client, or some other suitable terminology.
[0126] At least one of the base station and the mobile station may be referred to as a transmitting device, a receiving device, a communication device, etc. At least one of the base station and the mobile station may be a device mounted on a mobile object, the mobile object itself, etc. The mobile object refers to a movable object, and may move at any speed. Naturally, this also includes cases where the mobile object is stationary. Examples of the mobile object include, but are not limited to, vehicles, transport vehicles, automobiles, motorcycles, bicycles, connected cars, excavators, bulldozers, wheel loaders, dump trucks, forklifts, trains, buses, handcars, rickshaws, ships and other watercraft, airplanes, rockets, satellites, drones (registered trademark), multicopters, quadcopters, balloons, and objects mounted thereon. The mobile object may also be a mobile object that moves autonomously based on an operational command. It may be a vehicle (e.g., a car, an airplane, etc.), an unmanned mobile object (e.g., a drone, an autonomous vehicle, etc.), or a robot (manned or unmanned). At least one of the base station and the mobile station may be a device that does not necessarily move during communication operations. For example, at least one of the base station and the mobile station may be an IoT (Internet of Things) device such as a sensor.
[0127] Furthermore, a base station in the present disclosure may be read as a user terminal. For example, the aspects / embodiments of the present disclosure may be applied to a configuration in which communication between a base station and a user terminal is replaced with communication between a plurality of terminals 20 (which may be called, for example, D2D (Device-to-Device) or V2X (Vehicle-to-Everything)). In this case, the terminal 20 may be configured to have the functions of the base station 10 described above. Furthermore, terms such as "uplink" and "downlink" may be read as terms corresponding to terminal-to-terminal communication (for example, "side"). For example, terms such as an uplink channel and a downlink channel may be read as a side channel.
[0128] Similarly, the user terminal in the present disclosure may be read as a base station, in which case the base station may be configured to have the functions of the user terminal described above.
[0129] As used in this disclosure, the terms "determining" and "determining" may encompass a wide variety of actions. "Determining" and "determining" may include, for example, judging, calculating, computing, processing, deriving, investigating, looking up, searching, inquiring (e.g., searching in a table, database, or other data structure), ascertaining, and the like. "Determining" and "determining" may also include receiving (e.g., receiving information), transmitting (e.g., sending information), input, output, accessing (e.g., accessing data in memory), and the like. Furthermore, "judgment" and "decision" can include regarding resolving, selecting, choosing, establishing, comparing, etc. as having been "judged" or "decided." In other words, "judgment" and "decision" can include regarding some action as having been "judged" or "decided." Furthermore, "judgment (decision)" can be interpreted as "assuming," "expecting," "considering," etc.
[0130] The terms "connected," "coupled," or any variation thereof, refer to any direct or indirect connection or coupling between two or more elements, and may include the presence of one or more intermediate elements between two elements that are "connected" or "coupled" to each other. The coupling or connection between elements may be physical, logical, or a combination thereof. For example, "connected" may be read as "access." As used in this disclosure, two elements may be considered to be "connected" or "coupled" to each other using at least one of one or more wires, cables, and printed electrical connections, as well as electromagnetic energy having wavelengths in the radio frequency range, microwave range, and optical (both visible and invisible) range, as some non-limiting and non-exhaustive examples.
[0131] The reference signal may be abbreviated as RS (Reference Signal) or may be called a pilot depending on the applicable standard.
[0132] As used in this disclosure, the phrase "based on" does not mean "based only on," unless expressly stated otherwise. In other words, the phrase "based on" means both "based only on" and "based at least on."
[0133] As used in this disclosure, any reference to an element using a designation such as "first," "second," etc. does not generally limit the quantity or order of those elements. These designations may be used in this disclosure as a convenient method of distinguishing between two or more elements. Thus, a reference to a first and a second element does not imply that only two elements may be employed or that the first element must in some way precede the second element.
[0134] The "means" in the configuration of each of the above devices may be replaced with "part," "circuit," "device," etc.
[0135] When used in this disclosure, the terms "include," "including," and variations thereof are intended to be inclusive, similar to the term "comprising." Furthermore, when used in this disclosure, the term "or" is not intended to be an exclusive or.
[0136] A radio frame may be composed of one or more frames in the time domain. Each of the one or more frames in the time domain may be called a subframe. A subframe may further be composed of one or more slots in the time domain. A subframe may have a fixed time length (e.g., 1 ms) that is independent of numerology.
[0137] Numerology may be communication parameters that apply to at least one of transmission and reception of a signal or channel, such as subcarrier spacing (SCS), bandwidth, symbol length, cyclic prefix length, transmission time interval (TTI), number of symbols per TTI, radio frame structure, specific filtering operations performed by the transceiver in the frequency domain, and specific windowing operations performed by the transceiver in the time domain.
[0138] A slot may be composed of one or more symbols (such as an Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) symbol or a Single Carrier Frequency Division Multiple Access (SC-FDMA) symbol) in the time domain. A slot may be a time unit based on numerology.
[0139] A slot may include multiple minislots. Each minislot may consist of one or multiple symbols in the time domain. A minislot may also be called a subslot. A minislot may consist of fewer symbols than a slot. A PDSCH (or PUSCH) transmitted in a time unit larger than a minislot may be called PDSCH (or PUSCH) mapping type A. A PDSCH (or PUSCH) transmitted using a minislot may be called PDSCH (or PUSCH) mapping type B.
[0140] The radio frame, subframe, slot, minislot, and symbol all represent time units for transmitting signals, and may be referred to by other names corresponding to the radio frame, subframe, slot, minislot, and symbol.
[0141] For example, one subframe may be called a transmission time interval (TTI), multiple consecutive subframes may be called a TTI, or one slot or one minislot may be called a TTI. That is, at least one of the subframe and the TTI may be a subframe (1 ms) in existing LTE, a period shorter than 1 ms (for example, 1-13 symbols), or a period longer than 1 ms. Note that the unit representing the TTI may be called a slot, minislot, etc. instead of a subframe.
[0142] Here, TTI refers to, for example, the smallest time unit for scheduling in wireless communication. For example, in an LTE system, a base station performs scheduling to allocate wireless resources (such as frequency bandwidth and transmission power that can be used by each terminal 20) to each terminal 20 in TTI units. Note that the definition of TTI is not limited to this.
[0143] The TTI may be a transmission time unit for a channel-encoded data packet (transport block), a code block, a code word, etc., or may be a processing unit for scheduling, link adaptation, etc. When a TTI is given, the time interval (e.g., the number of symbols) to which a transport block, a code block, a code word, etc. is actually mapped may be shorter than the TTI.
[0144] When one slot or one minislot is called a TTI, one or more TTIs (i.e., one or more slots or one or more minislots) may be the minimum time unit for scheduling. Also, the number of slots (minislots) constituting the minimum time unit for scheduling may be controlled.
[0145] A TTI having a time length of 1 ms may be called a regular TTI (TTI in LTE Rel. 8-12), normal TTI, long TTI, regular subframe, normal subframe, long subframe, slot, etc. A TTI shorter than a regular TTI may be called a shortened TTI, short TTI, partial or fractional TTI, shortened subframe, short subframe, minislot, subslot, slot, etc.
[0146] In addition, a long TTI (e.g., a normal TTI, a subframe, etc.) may be interpreted as a TTI having a time length of more than 1 ms, and a short TTI (e.g., a shortened TTI, etc.) may be interpreted as a TTI having a TTI length shorter than the TTI length of a long TTI and equal to or greater than 1 ms.
[0147] A resource block (RB) is a resource allocation unit in the time domain and frequency domain, and may include one or more consecutive subcarriers in the frequency domain. The number of subcarriers included in an RB may be the same regardless of numerology, for example, 12. The number of subcarriers included in an RB may also be determined based on numerology.
[0148] The time domain of an RB may include one or more symbols and may have a length of one slot, one minislot, one subframe, or one TTI. One TTI, one subframe, etc. may each be composed of one or more resource blocks.
[0149] Note that one or more RBs may also be called a physical resource block (PRB), a sub-carrier group (SCG), a resource element group (REG), a PRB pair, an RB pair, or the like.
[0150] Furthermore, a resource block may be composed of one or more resource elements (REs). For example, one RE may be a radio resource region of one subcarrier and one symbol.
[0151] A Bandwidth Part (BWP) (which may also be referred to as a fractional bandwidth) may represent a subset of contiguous common resource blocks (RBs) for a given numerology on a given carrier, where the common RBs may be identified by their index relative to a common reference point of the carrier. PRBs may be defined in a given BWP and numbered within the BWP.
[0152] The BWP may include a BWP for UL (UL BWP) and a BWP for DL (DL BWP). One or more BWPs may be configured for a UE within one carrier.
[0153] At least one of the configured BWPs may be active, and the UE may not expect to transmit or receive a given signal / channel outside the active BWP. Note that the terms "cell," "carrier," etc. in this disclosure may be read as "BWP."
[0154] The above-described structures of radio frames, subframes, slots, minislots, symbols, etc. are merely examples. For example, the number of subframes included in a radio frame, the number of slots per subframe or radio frame, the number of minislots included in a slot, the number of symbols and RBs included in a slot or minislot, the number of subcarriers included in an RB, the number of symbols in a TTI, the symbol length, the cyclic prefix (CP) length, etc. may be changed in various ways.
[0155] In this disclosure, where articles are added by translation, such as a, an, and the in English, the disclosure may include that the nouns following these articles are in the plural form.
[0156] In the present disclosure, the term "A and B are different" may mean "A and B are different from each other." The term may also mean "A and B are each different from C." Terms such as "separate" and "coupled" may also be interpreted in the same way as "different."
[0157] Each aspect / embodiment described in this disclosure may be used alone, in combination, or switched depending on the implementation. Furthermore, notification of predetermined information (e.g., notification that "X is true") is not limited to being done explicitly, but may be done implicitly (e.g., by not notifying the predetermined information).
[0158] Although the present disclosure has been described in detail above, it is clear to those skilled in the art that the present disclosure is not limited to the embodiments described herein. The present disclosure can be implemented in modified and altered forms without departing from the spirit and scope of the present disclosure as defined by the claims. Therefore, the description of the present disclosure is intended to be illustrative and does not have any limiting meaning on the present disclosure. [Explanation of symbols]
