The air passage extends front-to-rear and left-to-right within the pad 16 and has an inlet opening on the lower surface of the pad 16 and multiple outlet holes opening on the upper surface of the pad 16. An engagement portion 67A that engages with the inlet hole is provided at the upper end of the duct 67. The duct 67 is preferably flexible. The duct 67 may be formed, for example, from an elastomer. The cross section of each of the multiple outlet holes is smaller than the cross section of the air passage. The covering material 17 may have a mesh structure in the portion facing the multiple outlet holes.

[0076] As shown in FIG. 7, the bracket 51 has a sensor support portion 71 that faces the lower surface of the pad 16. The seating sensor 52 is provided on the sensor support portion 71. The sensor support portion 71 is provided on the upper surface portion 51A of the bracket 51. The sensor support portion 71 is a recess that is recessed downward from the upper surface portion 51A of the bracket 51. The seating sensor 52 is locked to the sensor support portion 71, thereby preventing the seating sensor 52 from shifting out of position.

[0077] A sensor hole 72 is formed in the pressure receiving portion 48, penetrating it in the thickness direction. When viewed from the top-bottom direction, the sensor hole 72 faces the sensor support portion 71. When viewed from above, the sensor hole 72 should be the same size as or larger than the sensor support portion 71. When viewed from the top-bottom direction, the seating sensor 52 overlaps with the sensor hole 72. The sensor hole 72 should be located approximately in the center of the pressure receiving portion 48.

[0078] 8 and 10, the seating sensor 52 passes through the sensor hole 72 and protrudes above the pressure-receiving portion 48. The case 52A of the seating sensor 52 may pass through the sensor hole 72, or only the button 52B of the seating sensor 52 may pass through the sensor hole 72. An upper portion of the seating sensor 52 abuts against the lower surface of the pad 16. More specifically, the button 52B of the seating sensor 52 abuts against the lower surface of the pad 16. As a result, when an occupant sits on the seat 1, the button 52B of the seating sensor 52 is pressed by the occupant's buttocks via the pad 16. This allows the seating sensor 52 to detect the occupant.

[0079] The sensor support portion 71 is preferably a recess independent from the air passage 61. The sensor support portion 71 is preferably connected to the side portion of the bracket 51 and is open to the side. If the thickness of the seating sensor 52 is smaller than the depth of the sensor support portion 71, the seating sensor 52 can be inserted into and removed from the sensor support portion 71 from the side.

[0080] As shown in FIG. 4 , one of the legs 36 is positioned to overlap the blower 53 when viewed from the rear. In this embodiment, the right leg 36 is positioned behind the blower 53. The left end of the leg 36 is positioned to the left of the right end of the blower 53, and the right end of the leg 36 is positioned to the right of the left end of the blower 53. Preferably, the left end of the leg 36 is positioned to the right of the left end of the blower 53, and the right end of the leg 36 is positioned to the left of the right end of the blower 53. The upper end of the leg 36 is positioned above the blower 53, and the lower end of the leg 36 is positioned below the blower 53. A bent portion is provided in the center of the leg 36 in the up-down direction. As a result, the lower end of the leg 36 is offset in the left-right direction from the upper end. When viewed from the rear, the lower end of the leg 36 is offset in the left-right direction toward the rotation axis of the blower 53 from the upper end.

[0081] As shown in Figures 2 and 3, a lever bracket 75 is coupled to the front member 32 and the middle member 34. A lever 76 is rotatably supported on the lever bracket 75. A strap 77 is attached to the lever 76 for the user to hold. A control cable 78 is also connected to the lever 76. The other end of the control cable 78 may be connected to a locking device of the slide rail 3. The locking device restricts movement of the slider 7 relative to the rail 6. When the user pulls the strap 77, the lever 76 rotates, pulling the control cable 78 and causing the locking device to release the lock. The bracket 51 and the blower 53 may be disposed rearward of the lever bracket 75.

[0082] The manufacturing method of the seat 1 may include the steps of preparing a seat cushion frame 21 having a pressure receiving portion 48, attaching the seating sensor 52 to a bracket 51, and attaching the bracket 51 with the seating sensor 52 attached to the pressure receiving portion 48. The manufacturing method of the seat 1 may also include the steps of preparing a seat cushion frame 21 having a pressure receiving portion 48, attaching the bracket 51 to the pressure receiving portion 48, and inserting the seating sensor 52 from the side into the sensor support portion 71 of the bracket 51 attached to the pressure receiving portion 48. The seating sensor 52 may be attached to the bracket 51 before the blower 53, or the blower 53 may be attached to the bracket 51 before the seating sensor 52.

[0083] According to the seat 1 of the above embodiment, the seating sensor 52 is supported by the bracket 51 attached to the underside of the pressure receiving portion 48, so that the seating sensor 52 can be attached and detached from below the seat cushion 12. This makes it possible to provide a vehicle seat 1 that allows easy maintenance of the seating sensor 52. Since the seating sensor 52 is supported by the bracket 51 that also supports the blower 53, an increase in the number of parts is avoided.

[0084] The worker may remove the seating sensor 52 from the pressure-receiving portion 48 by removing the bracket 51 from the pressure-receiving portion 48. Alternatively, the worker may remove the seating sensor 52 from the pressure-receiving portion 48 and the bracket 51 by pulling out the seating sensor 52 laterally while the bracket 51 remains attached to the pressure-receiving portion 48.

[0085] The worker may attach the seating sensor 52 to the pressure receiving portion 48 by placing the seating sensor 52 on the sensor support portion 71 of the bracket 51 and then attaching the bracket 51 to the pressure receiving portion 48. Alternatively, the worker may attach the seating sensor 52 to the pressure receiving portion 48 and the bracket 51 by inserting the seating sensor 52 laterally into the sensor support portion 71 of the bracket 51 attached to the pressure receiving portion 48.

[0086] Since the seating sensor 52 is disposed in the sensor support portion 71 which is a recess, the seating sensor 52 is prevented from shifting in position even when it receives a load from the pad 16 .

[0087] Although the specific embodiment has been described above, the present invention is not limited to the above embodiment and can be modified in a wide range of ways. For example, instead of the seating sensor 52, a temperature sensor, a humidity sensor, an acceleration sensor, a Doppler sensor, or the like may be supported on the bracket 51.

[0088] The pressure receiving portion 48 may be bridged between the middle member 34 and the rear member 33. Furthermore, if the middle member 34 is omitted, the pressure receiving portion 48 may be bridged between the front member 32 and the rear member 33. The pressure receiving portion 48 may be formed by a plurality of elastic metal wires bridged between the middle member 34 and the rear member 33, and a resin plate supported by the plurality of metal wires. In this case, the bracket 51 may be attached to the resin plate. Furthermore, the sensor hole 72 may be formed in the resin plate.

[0089] The sensor support portion 71 may be provided on the upper surface portion 51A of the bracket 51 in a portion that does not overlap with the pressure receiving portion 48. In this case, the seating sensor 52 provided on the sensor support portion 71 can abut against the underside of the pad 16 without going through the sensor hole 72. For example, if the front portion of the bracket 51 extends forward from the front edge of the pressure receiving portion 48, the sensor support portion 71 may be positioned forward of the front edge of the bracket 51. The sensor hole 72 may be omitted from the pressure receiving portion 48.

[0090] The bracket 51 may be provided with a locking portion for supporting a linear member such as the control cable 78. The linear member may be a wire harness other than the control cable 78. The locking portion may be provided on the lower surface 51B of the bracket 51. Alternatively, the locking portion may be provided on the upper surface 51A of the bracket 51. In this case, the linear member may be clamped between the bracket 51 and the pressure-receiving portion 48. [Explanation of symbols]
